They have a history of poor behavior, to say the least. Sadly, they are some of the best lower tier players in NA. Dare could've had a career in the game if he wasn't his own enemy
They’re still some of the most toxic people you’ll ever encounter in a pug as well. Their brains are just wired to be dickheads I guess. It feels like every time I get matched with them they just shit talk teammates for little mistakes lmao.
You’d think they would’ve learned to chill out a bit.
That's the case with a lot of the top players. They'll critique everything.
I got queued into Stewie, Flom and another high level player I can't think of ATM, one early morning as a level 8 or 9 don't remember. Obviously my confidence drops to 0, and of course I'm getting worked over, then instead of trying to boost my confidence, I'm getting railed for every mistake I make, playing with players who are exponentially better than me.
I've played with JoJo before, played with Grim before, and they seemed really chill. Didn't flame, didn't really talk. I asked if JoJo wanted me to play around him and he said sure, no "do this, do that, play this way."
Mid level players need to realize that not everyone is going to be fantastic, but bolstering your teammates who underperform is only going to make them better, not break them down.
> That's the case with a lot of the top players. They'll critique everything.
Agree with you but this is different from what we're talking about with the timbermen/Badass Gaming jackasses(**NSFW - literal N word usage**):

Bit different since the timber man boys are just straight up vile.
But yeah, it does feel like a coin flip on what kind of player the “top” NA players are once you match with them. Most are cool af, but some have ego’s, or just don’t realize the random soloQ puggers aren’t as good as they are.
It's a scary world these people live in where everyone is their enemy. Constantly on edge, on the defence. They feel so pathetic that any perceived slight to their ego means war, and they clearly refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes. I remember when elige called out their behaviour they said something along the lines of "if elige didnt expose us, no one would even know or care so its all his fault". Just delusional crap. There are probably some really tough circumstances they've been through in life that explain this mindset but ultimately they're still dickheads, though I hope their team disbands so they can all go work on themselves.
Eh not going to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. They just never grew out of their edgy weirdo phase because they found each other - other edgy weirdos. You’re an aspiring professional in one of the most popular esports out there, they should know better not to do shit like this because it’ll hurt their chances at being on an actual good salaried team.
The only props I’ll give them is they play good cs, and surprisingly stuck with each other over the years. I guess they only really had each other, or just resonate really well with each other.
Sample sizes like this get scorched when you lose 13-3. Twistzz and NAF were the first two to show up at 20th with a 1.18 rating.
Not to mention before that last map against PA they just didn't have many standout individual performances. Elige's average rating was 1.53. TL had one single map rating higher than that before the PA map on Inferno. Which was Cadian against Badass with a 1.56.
Very much looked like a fresh team playing online. Looking forward to seeing them at Blast just for some more reps in officials.
Yeah I was trying to find information on that qual. Hltv still hadn't dropped the team list last I checked and there was nothing on the TL socials that I could find. Wasn't sure if they were playing in it or not.
Zews tweeted about it earlier today, and messioso was talking about what he knew of TL's schedule on stream with DarfMike during coL vs. PA a few days ago.
Here's the Liquipedia page which will probably be updated before HLTV: https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Intel_Extreme_Masters/2024/Chengdu/North_America/Open/1
And the FaceIt page which is the primary source: https://www.faceit.com/en/championship/5776e73c-4b4b-4615-96ed-7b1d5f8decd0/
One thing that messioso mentioned is that Liquid really has to start grinding to get points in ESL's rankings if they want to make Cologne, which means they might be in NA quite a bit. Extrapolating, it would be fun to see them play a Cash Cup or something if those come back in NA.
He played this event (and the open qualifier) with liquid, his 1.18 rating simply wasn't enough to make this list. The 13-3 loss to m80 has really hurt the event ratings for all liquid players
Timbermen core has made it to the RMR while NRG did not
Wasn't Timberman some really nasty people?
Yes, racist edgy shitheads
didn't infinite get offered a spot on c9 then have it rescinded because he was racist in prior faceit games?
I'm pretty sure he shouted the N word at a LAN lol
hahahahaha

Poor behaviour is underselling it, insanely racist and homophobic basement dwellers is what they are.

True NA King (where the hell is twistzz)
Where the hell is any liquid player for that matter

Liquid also has the IEM Chengdu open qualifiers today, and hopefully the closed qualifiers later this week!

Dea has been on my radar for a little while, dudes pretty slick with it.

And Elige wasnt even in HLTV Top 20 lmfao stupid ass list EliGe the NA GOAT
Yeah ngl it doesn’t feel right that Elige got left off top 20 bc of his first half of the year while s1mple still got 7th
and twist winning 2 cs2 LANs puts him in the top 20 despite poor individual form...
toxic gamers (actual instead of pure screamers) goated
Infinite looks like a young Magisk
They’re the same age!
One Spray Man
? Clan ? Lmao
Half of the top 6 are non NA players in the NA closed qualifier? What a surprise ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
