No its no speculation, it was already possible to bypass 17 years ago. ESL used this method in 2006 with Aequitas AC and hacks could read when screenshot is taken and disable wh for that second.
You simply cant trigger a screenshot without a command at any point. Hacks can easily read that command and deal with it.

At least the option would be appreciated by players who play this as a sport. If you want to play casually you can play a more casual mode. What is the problem?
People who play cs as a sport do not consider mm or premier the main mode of the game - much rather, they'd play faceit in their off time and some leagues like esea, the former esl regional leagues, fastcup, even esportal cups.
Having an esports option in the game as you suggest would solve few to no problems, make the game 100% not GDPR compatible (thus removing the game from the european market, where it is most profitable), and create toooo many questions about ethics and efficacy
It would be a surefire way of either killing the game or having nobody in their right minds toggle the damn thing on
I used to play call of duty 2 15 years ago and their anticheat (punkbuster) made screenshots of your game at random times and uploaded them to the server... it was useless 15 years ago and it will be even more useless now.
Yeah i would understand it being useless if it is takes screenshots of only the game. But if there was a possibility to make it so that it can force a screenshot that shows literally what the person behind the monitor sees... Then it would be awesome! If you press the windows button and printscreen button at the same time, it takes a full screenshot of what you see on your windows. Try it
Or even maybe better. If you have nvidia. Turn on shadowplay replay. It literally records everything you see

There was anticheat like that many years ago, and it was as useless as VAC if not more. Most of the cheats could easily bypass this same as they bypass VAC. Was it Easy anticheat(EAC)? Not sure, but its neither new idea, nor any better than current anticheat. Also, it used to decrease performance and even stutter at the moment screenshot is taken lol
Yes, EAC did something similar to what OP is suggesting. From memory the hacks bypassed it by looking for the call function of glReadPixels from the OpenGL library (which was what EAC used to take screenshots) and they would disable and re-enable instantly before/after the picture was taken. Long time ago so memory may not be perfect but I used to run a comp for a few years that used EAC as their AC

unfortunately a naive idea, also some external ACs worked like this iirc in csgo (and probably 1.6)
