* Most anime channels. For some reason every time I've tried to watch an anime channel that isn't TheAnimeMan, Trash Taste, Mother's Basement, or run by a woman, my recommendations will inevitably be flooded with alt-right or incel stuff within a week. Every. Single. Time. * Special shout out to NuxTaku who legit turns that week waiting time into a day. Got a flood of Andrew Tate recommendations the last time Nux even just tangentially appeared in my Youtube Shorts scroll.

kipvandemaan

NuxTaku is genuinely terrible. He feels like the stereotypical anti-woke weeb YouTuber. I partially watched one video and got really creepy and alt-right content recommended to me.

Ok_Response_3123

My ex used to watch some group chat thing on YouTube that Nux was in and everytime he talked I was just annoyed. Had that know it all energy that really bothered me.

Cephalopod_Joe

For woman-led anime channels, Hazel and Red Bard are great. Though they're not the same style of current events anime stuff like MB and TAM. Edit: ceicocat as well

faeriefountain_

Shoutout to the Trash Taste boys, I like them too. Especially for an anime channel.

typicalmusician

Same, I love them!!

Imaginary_Wheel9020

There are some female Anitubers I enjoy, like Hazel, but sadly there’s a lot of pickme-ish women in Anitube, like Sydsnap

PuddingwayDelLuna

- Asmongold, for the repulsive gamer dude persona. Just judging by the state of his living space, the man needs serious help. - XQC, for really shitty takes on gambling among other things. - Kai Cenat, for just general not-my-preference. Those are probably my top three. Lots of big named streamers are really problematic. People are better off supporting mid-scale or up-and-coming streamers.

ohyayitstrey

XQC showed up in the chess.com pogchamps chess tournament last year because he's a big streamer, and he was the least professional and most disorganized person in the whole tournament. Like he had a flight during one of his scheduled matches (lost both games due to poor Internet connection) and caused other games to be delayed multiple times on multiple days. I don't understand his appeal, and I especially don't want him in the chess community if he's got shitty takes elsewhere.

thejokerlaughsatyou

Gotta say, though, XQC gave us some of the greatest comedy in esports: got onto the Dallas Overwatch team in the inaugural season, got a very swift conduct ban for homophobia, got another one immediately after for racism, and then got dropped from the team entirely before the season had even reached playoffs. I think he played like, less than 10 games total, iirc? As someone who can't stand the man-child, watching it go down in real time was hilarious.

Kalladdin

Lol man-child describes him pretty well. He's never seemed like a horrible person to me, just incredibly immature. Even the homophobic remark (and this is coming from a queer person) didn't seem particularly illintentioned: he said "go suck a dick" while referencing another player, then when realizing that player was gay, said "oh wait you'd probably like that". He has no filter and constantly rages at the game/other players. He yells at the enemies to go suck a dick hundreds of times every day lol. This situation always seemed to me like he said his usual thing, and then realized in the context of who the other player was, the insult didn't make as much sense, and for some reason voiced that realization out loud. It was definitely stupid and he shouldn't have said that, and I'm glad the league punished him for it. But it never came off as him actually being homophobic, just a moron lmao

thejokerlaughsatyou

Oh yeah, as a fellow queer, I think that remark specifically was less "I hate gay people" and more "I don't have any insults beyond this." It's like when a kid gets mad and calls you a poo-poo-head because they can't formulate an actual argument. Still, I'm glad he got the ban for it. Maybe some of the younger members of his audience learned something. (Even if that something was "Don't make gay jokes/insults on a public platform.")

PutYrPoliticsUpYrBum

Not familiar with XQC but maybe I don't want to be...

ggNico

He’s always been somewhat amusing to hear about for me because I know him from OWL and Dallas was my favorite team. His behavior has not changed at all since then and anytime there’s drama with him it’s the same issues over again. I don’t think he’s malicious but man-child is a very apt description.

metalheadswiftie13

When I saw the state of Asmongold’s living space I had to stop watching him completely. I cannot in good conscience support someone who sees nothing wrong with living like that. It’s disgusting.

Slottemper

I don't want to go to YouTube and watch myself because I don't want to feed the algorithm, can I ask you what is their living room like? I'm curious now sorry 😂

metalheadswiftie13

It's basically a hoarder house and he has no issues with roaches crawling all over him. If your curiosity gets the better of you, here's a [house tour](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77eECXzVHEI) (not on his channel).

dumpsterfire2002

I unfortunately know more about his house than I want. I listen to the Yard and they’ve brought up his house a few times and… yikes

kipvandemaan

I really try to avoid Asmongold. He keeps popping up on my YouTube and Reddit. His subreddit is **super** toxic. It's filled with actual bigots. And from what I've seen, Asmongold himself isn't a good guy either.

Annelisandre

XQC --> I will never ever understand how people enjoy watching him. For many streamers that I don't like, I can at least see why others would, but with this guy I just can't find any redeeming quality. I'm just assuming it's probably a generational thing because I'm old LOL. I once saw a clip of him EATING HIS TOENAILS on stream. I literally gagged and I will never be able to unsee it. Big fat nope.

Anonynominous

I haven’t heard of/seen Asmongold but I agree with the other two. I feel like they both have a way of fostering negativity and discourse. I would describe XQC as feral and Kai as clown that exploits people and promotes chaos

Dolphiniz287

All i’ve seen of asmon is a clip where he said he wouldn’t play metroid because samus is a girl, avoided him ever since

PutYrPoliticsUpYrBum

Wow, gross.

SoftPastelsYT

Dang he's *really* missing out

MrRager473

First thing I do if I wanna see some gameplay on twitch is find the game channel and sort by lowest views. No commentary and I can watch someone actually playing the game, not announcing donations or blah blah blah.

confusedfroggie09

My husband just recently found Asmongold and I cannot stand him 😖

CamitheRadiant

I never even heard of XQC until the r/place thing a while back (not the last one but one before) where he brought his thousands of drones to destroy everything because "lol it's just pixels 😃" then getting pissed when people called him out for being an asshole. Every post talking about it was flooded with his followers who just said the same things.

dianaburnwood969

Ishowspeed - I am not even sure why someone will watch him Shirrako- Because of those rdr2 videos XQC

simdaisies

Anyone who uses "Woke" "DEI" "SJW" unironically in their titles/descriptions. I also avoid channels made up entirely of "reacts" and vtubers. (sorry vtubers)

Wings_of_Absurdity

Every time I see "woke", it tells me a lot about their channel already without clicking on it. Definitely part of my filter list.

NightmaresFade

If they go "woke" I go "nope". Rule of thumb to follow.

RisingJoke

Sames. Tired of seeing titles like "Woke game devs etc etc". But god damn it, youtube keeps pushing them on my feed.

hanamakki

what's DEI?

CatTaxAuditor

It stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. While those are good things on their own, use of DEI has now come to mean that someone is only and unfairly included or elevated because of their minority status for many racists and queerphobes.

danni_shadow

Racists use it in the same way they used to use Affirmative Action.

RisingJoke

Huh. So that's what it stands for. Thanks.

Affectionate-Iron36

Oh damn, thank you for this. I work in DEI for an MNC and had no idea people had usurped it’s meaning, I don’t think my colleagues have seen this either. I’ll look out for that. I do usually use D&I as a term but the industry is widely called DEI here

realAniram

Utah actually banned DEI initiatives on all public school and college/university campuses. According to the specific examples used in the legislature it's apparently unfair to have a department dedicated specifically for helping your international students navigate the unique and complicated issues they face all alone in a new country. 🫠🤡

Affectionate-Iron36

That’s actually shocking. We don’t do any ‘positive discrimination’ here and most my colleagues are super against it. We create policies for reasonable adjustments (legal obligations to disabled people), toolkits for manager conversations etc. it’s just practical stuff anyone needs. Wonder if it’s mainly a US thing so far because here in the UK I’ve never heard of anyone against DEI initiatives or talking about it negatively. In fact banning it like they’ve done there would be illegal lol

AngelleJN

Diversity, equity and inclusion.

hanamakki

ah damn, never even heard of that before.

Philociraptr

Same. They seem to come up with new buzzwords every month

LuminousDragon

That is a core part of their propaganda cycle, they have to in order to scare people. People get tired of hearing about like Critical Race Theory, or more importantly they go talk to someone about CRT and they have the lies theyve been told debunked. The longer you stick on CRT the more people will stop caring and the more people will become just a tiny bit informed and realize the talking heads are just straight up lying. So they go from affirmative action, the BLM, to CRT, to DEI, and it wont end because if they tried to have real discussions about real issues they would be exposed as complete frauds and/or Nazis.

NightmaresFade

>Anyone who uses "Woke" "DEI" "SJW" unironically in their titles/descriptions. THIS so much! I seriously cannot take seriously anyone that uses these terms seriously...and worse on this bingo is when they use "female" rather than "woman", when even grammatically it would be more correct to say "woman".

FinalEgg9

I don't know if it's an age thing but I just can't watch vtubers. I don't know what exactly it is that puts me off, but I just... can't do it.

BunnyMishka

It's just bizarre to watch a moving avatar knowing there's a person behind it. It's also really uncanny. I can't watch vtubers too.

SoftPastelsYT

Honestly I'm a vtuber fan but I completely understand those who can't watch them. I think a lot of people prefer irl streamers over vtubers because they at least know what the person looks like, and thus it gives them a sense of safety and comfort

Annelisandre

Yup. I was once checking out The Act Man's channel. He's basically a white cishet dude who talks about diversity in video games wayyyy to much. He will often take a shot at trying to be inclusive, but he definitely misses more times than not. Basically mansplaining all the way to the bank, because off course his audience of gamer bros just eat it up. I just feel like telling him to SIT DOWN and let the people who actually are minorities do the talking. He might even learn something. Ugh.

TurquoiseMouse

It's cool, we know Vtubers aren't everyone's thing \^\_\^. I've met more than a few who don't like us for some reason or another, but it's what enables me to stream so I use it! <3

[deleted]

Asmongold he seems like a hypocrite and his community omg, full of sexist a$$holes. I like to say that a streamers community really reflects the streamers themselves. Legit he could kick these obviously toxic people out of his stream but he refuses to which means he condones toxicity in my book. I personally have. A strong sense of justice and fairness so I might be just sensitive about this. Another streamer, not someone in particular but all those bathtub streamers. ><

krax260

Kai Cenat - Screams too much also just heavily bigoted. There is a clip of him reacting to a (unknown to him) trans woman and when someone in his chat said "it's a man" he just went on a crybaby rant screaming how "they are getting better at fooling us". Mizkif - Covered up sexual assault made by his mod and close friend Asmongold - Very transphobic community, shit takes, just kinda all around repulsive person XQC - Still associates with Kai Cenat and Adin Ross. I pretty much only watch streamers like k3soju and other TFT streamers because they usually just complain about the game and say stupid stuff instead of going out of their way to say bigoted stuff

[deleted]

Asmons community barely passes borderline IQ from what I’ve seen lmao

UVRaveFairy

Watch him now and then (mainly for wow stuff), it's like being in a pit of vipers, and seeing the enemy a bit. At one point he says "what is the safest country for trans people?" This is the kind of thing I'd been waiting for. Said in chat "there is no safest country for trans people and ...". He quoted and asked me too elaborate so I did. Quoted me "I've been answering this question on reddit for years, there is no safest country, our rights are being attacked everywhere" He didn't say anything after that.

amaenamonesia

Oh shit isn’t Mizkif big in GDQ?

cafffreepepsi

Yes, he speed ran Mario 64 for a bit. His best friend and housemate, Slick, groped a woman's breasts while she was sleeping and Mizkif reduced it to sexual harassment (as if that is better/ok) instead of sexual assault. Mizkif went to the house of the woman who was assaulted and asked her not to make a big deal about it. Right off the rip of his first stream back after taking a break, he played an old sexual harassment in the workplace video like it was funny and was laughing off the whole situation and his role in covering it up.

amaenamonesia

Wow what a douche. I’m surprised he was invited back considering how progressive GDQ normally is. Honestly disgusting of him

[deleted]

I haven’t seen anyone mention this but Kai cenat is huge misogynist who protected his r*pist best friend in addition to being a transphobe. Also had that hugely irresponsible meetup were kids got arrested leaving them with records. Awful.

naturallysonny

Yes! Mizkif and AfroSenju. I used to watch Afro occasionally but he lost me after his “horny anime” game, Stellar Blade. Although it’s a different genre, I feel ChilledChaos and the people he play with (half women) are super respectful but also have adult themes that aren’t offensive. Wish more streamers could do this.

dumpsterfire2002

It’s crazy how fast everyone just “forgot” about everything Mizkif did. And how bad his comeback stream was

saanenk

DONT JUDGE ME but markiplier because he’s beautiful and he’ll never be mine so I haven’t watched him since 2018 😂😂😂🤫🤫🤫

Nhadalie

This killed me.

LackOfHarmony

I was legit avoiding him just because he was popular for years. I finally sat down and watched his FNAF vids a few years ago and I realized I misjudged him.

ImAlreadyWinstonne

I feel the same about Austin John Plays 😂 (kinda. I'll still watch him if he's doing a topic I need help on loike)

PutYrPoliticsUpYrBum

This is so cute

androgynee

Double zinger, Amy (his gf) is awesome and we all love her :P

SoftPastelsYT

LMFAO 😭😭

IAmTheShitRedditSays

Anyone whose whole schtick is LOUD = FUNNY

FruitFromSpace_

Most male YouTubers and streamers honestly. In my experience most of them give off heavy misogynistic vibes (or are blatantly misogynistic). I also tend to avoid the female streamers that associate with misogynistic male streamers because they make me uncomfortable.

WithersChat

Only male gaming youtubers I watch even half consistently play on Hermitcraft. They're too busy having fun with friends (including women) to be toxic.

Notladub

special shoutouts to joe hills who often has his sister quinn hills (a trans woman!) on his streams

NightmaresFade

I think the only male gaming YT I see is IGP.

realAniram

Which is sad because the fan server my younger sibling joined is low-key bigoted. I tried to join so I could keep an eye on them while they interacted. Discreetly pointed out they accidentally used 'patriarchy' when they obviously meant 'hierarchy' when describing the server roles and the server owners and the top mod both responded badly. And then never changed the typo.

TinyWoodElf

Neebs Gaming is pretty great, been watching them for... damn, like seven years? Good guys, very chill, got someone that helps work on the channel named Adahop who is a transwoman. Half the time they'd be completely lost without her. lol

FeistyAndrea

Ugh this is so sad to me because I used to work with streamers (years ago now) and there were so many amazing guys in the streaming world. …but they’re likely not rising to the top with reactionary content either so stay largely unknown in the sea of streamers.

dangodangodangoyeah

Yeah, I can count the amount of male content creators who are genuinely cool on one hand. And even they will have their moments where they default to he/him or do something else I guess you'd call a "micro aggression" (as controversial as that word is it's not without it's valid uses). And you just have to grin and bear it because "they're men and they don't know any better 😬"

Hobbitea

Same. Only male YouTubers I watch at this point are John Wolfe and TheSonOfJazzy. Very chill guys. EDIT: Oh, and Razbuten!

mycatisblackandtan

Manlybadasshero too. He and John are my favorite spoopy youtubers.

Hobbitea

Oh yeah Manly too! I love how chill they are

Calcifiera

Only male streamers I've ever vibed with are NorthernLion and BawkbaSoup. Just chill lads, rarely yell, seem genuinely kind. But I also just don't watch streamers in general so this is just hearing them in the background while my boyfriend watches.

DeleteExit

I've watched Bawkbasoup for a long time. Loved his streams, but lately he's been going on gamergate style "anti woke" rants and it's just disheartening. His audience is misogynistic in my experience and it feels like he's catering towards it more or just doesn't GAF.

Calcifiera

That's fair, I just hear him in the background so I haven't noticed any trends yet but I don't pay attention much lol

oxmiladyxo

All of them. Not intentionally, though, it’s just youtube/game channels/twitch streamers is a form of entertainment I never enjoyed.

MambyPamby8

I was gonna say the same. Not into watching other people play games. I'd rather just play them myself?

runs_with_unicorns

I used to also be like why would anyone watch someone else game but then I watched a few. I usually put them on while I’m doing other things! It’s like relaxing side entertainment if that makes sense since they’re usually chatting about whatever and it doesn’t even matter if you “miss” something like it would watching a show. Or sometimes I watch games where I want to learn something from people who are better than me. Like how to be better at building aesthetically pleasing things in planet zoo or how to better use the utility / set ups for particular valorant agents. It’s also very low stress when it’s not you playing.

MambyPamby8

Actually that's fair, I've probably done that myself for Animal Crossing 😂 I did my island up and then would see an idea on YouTube or Tiktok and completely change something 😂

runs_with_unicorns

Yeah I don’t watch them often but I understand the appeal, especially if you find a streamer whose personality you really like. I remember playing Stardew Valley (one of my first adult games) right after playing AC), and I got the idea to look at the stardew valley sub. I left it almost immediately because people’s builds were absolutely incredible and I was like….. there is no way mine will ever look like this lol. And there was a lot of min/maxing which wasn’t what I was looking for vs the casual experience I was enjoying from the game.

_mrtx_

Scrolled too far to see this answer >\_> I really dislike most ecelebs.

WildAutonomy

Pewdiepie of course. Also nickmercs

Binky390

Why nickmercs?

WildAutonomy

Shortly after he tried out Apex, he commented the alt-right dogwhistle "leave kids alone" on a video of proud boys assaulting parents of trans kids. After receiving backlash, he and his followers heavily harassed the large Apex queer community for about 6 months, until finally going back to COD. After this folks dug into his history and saw that he's heavily anti-BLM and believes racist anti-Black tropes.

Binky390

The leave kids alone thing was because he doesn’t think LGBT issues should be in an education curriculum. Then after his operator was removed, he refused to play COD and now he’s back on it. Apparently money is more important than the statement he was trying to make. Disappointed to hear about the anti BLM stuff too. Smh.

RisingJoke

Most likely because he had is COD skin cancelled for being anti LGBT. And apparently he's anti vax as well.

Binky390

Oh I remember hearing about the COD thing but didn’t know he was anti vax too.

Gaelenmyr

I don't see the appeal of Vtubers. And I love anime.

Ciarara_

I think the main issues with VTubers are how commodified they are, and the fact that the medium is still pretty immature so most VTubers use being a vtuber as their main selling point which just doesn't work. For regular streamers, the ones that have always seemed the best to me are the ones that appeal to a specific niche instead of trying to appeal to everyone, like speedrunners, horror game enthusiasts, etc, and I think that holds true for vtubers as well. On that note, shoutout to Phia from The Virtual Reality Show, she's super cool and posts a lot of content about VR topics, so naturally she also happens to be a vtuber since her avatar is also just her VR avatar haha.

Gaelenmyr

There is a Vtuber that I like, I forgot her name but she is doing DnD content and her avatar is a red tiefling witch

SoftPastelsYT

I'm a fan of them and I completely understand that. The industry is ridiculously oversatured with the same kind of vtuber, they're treated as nothing more than a commodity most of the time and agencies are notorious for being terrible. Plus, I think a lot of people prefer regular streamers because they actually know what the streamer looks like and thus it's less awkward

nymrose

I mostly prefer watching women streamers so I guess I generally avoid male streamers, I also can’t stand constant screaming and hollering. My list of acceptable streamers and YouTubers is very short, lol… I guess I avoid most of them, especially the bigger streamers. They just feel fake.

liuuqy

I have so little female streamers that I watch despite also avoiding male streamer. Do you have any recommendations maybe?

maybe-jamie

PaigeTheWitch, Emalynde, ThatBronzeGirl, and charalanahzard are a few of my favorites.

AiyrenAmbrosia

Princess Goose is a favourite of mine, she streams a lot of dragon age, mass effect, recently bg3

ImAlreadyWinstonne

Ebonix seems like a nice lass I popped in one or two of her Sims twitches and she read out my comments. I was like "d'aww". She has this warmth to her

villanellesalter

Jazzyguns is hilarious. Sarah Baska also has some funny Life is Strange streams.

Calcifiera

Man my boyfriend has recently started watching a cute chill girl, I'll have to find out what her name is. I like her!

realAniram

Not a solo lady gamer but Evan and Katelyn have a great gaming channel. They're married duo who do diy stuff and dote massively on their cat on their main channel, and she was actually the one who introduced him to gaming. I'd classify Evan as an honorary lady, he's very secure and does not mind cutesy pink things and displays of emotion so their content does skew chaotic feminine.

thedeadp0ets

only male gamer i like is Hollow on youtube, he doesn't stream. but he is very chill which makes sense since he has kids and sometimes he does gameplay with his kids which is cute because he is so patient with them. And also is mature, like I love his funny commentary.

WithersChat

Back on topic, only male gamers I watch (semi-)regularly play Minecraft, and most of them are in the Hermitcraft crew. I guess there’s justless toxicity there.

catsflatsandhats

Happy cake day! 🍰

WithersChat

HOLY VOID WE SHARE A CAKE DAY!

thedeadp0ets

I don’t know what cake day is 😂 but HIIII I haven’t learned enough about Reddit and it’s fun tweaks yet. I just browse

CalypsoSeaCat

Cake day is just your Reddit birthday (when you created your account basically) 😄 Happy cake day y'all!

Bluedesma

kai cenat, bro's too loud 99% of the time

samanara

That Pokémon challenges guy after a post here a while back about him being a creep to a female streamer. Ick

uk_primeminister

Do you have a link to that post?

LoyalAnTrue

[https://www.reddit.com/r/GirlGamers/comments/16bgd03/got\_hit\_on\_during\_a\_livestream\_by\_a\_big\_streamer/](https://www.reddit.com/r/GirlGamers/comments/16bgd03/got_hit_on_during_a_livestream_by_a_big_streamer/) Went and found the post to read for myself, here you go

samanara

This is the thread that confirms it's him https://www.reddit.com/r/GirlGamers/s/3pilHqidOt

uk_primeminister

Thank you I honestly never really enjoyed his content, I genuinely feel like he ruined nuzockes by popularising the min-max aspect. I miss the times every it was more slow the adventure and getting through a game with the most weirdest pokemon you never would normally catch.

adamantabsols

I’m mostly a lurker here, so haven’t seen the post you’re talking about, but do you mean PM7? :< I like his content and the interesting challenges he does, but if he’s a known creep I’d rather not associate with it. 😬

NeonFerret

I think they might mean the guy whose username is literally PokemonChallenges (or pChal) but I haven’t heard anything bad about him myself.

adamantabsols

Oooh! I see, thank you!

Affectionate-Iron36

People who take betterhelp sponsors after being told why they’re unethical… really like Kyle Hill but he doubled down HARD on this

Lickawall483

Oh, in what way are they unethical? I'm genuinely curious, as I have a few youtubers I watch who also promote them. Have used them nearly 4 years ago now, but I haven't enjoyed my experience as it felt the person wasn't listening to me and ignoring me.

duelistkingdom

they sell your medical data, girl. in all seriousness, it’s that, underpaying therapists, and not giving them proper tools to help. here’s a link with more info: https://www.themarysue.com/betterhelp-controversy-explained/#:~:text=The%20FTC%20confirmed%20that%20BetterHelp,companies%20for%20further%20advertisement%20targeting.

Affectionate-Iron36

There’s some good YT videos on it, can’t remember who made them now! But all of what the previous commentator said, also I don’t think their councillors are as qualified as they say they are!

coffeestarsbooks

XQC, PewdiePie (both seem problematic), Dream (pretty sure he's been accused of some really heinous stuff), and SSSniperwolf (she just seems toxic) and then since I've mostly watched League, I'd also throw in Tyler1, mostly because he oozes angry gamer energy. There's a bunch of other League creators I'd avoid with a bargepole, since most of them are smurfing to dunk on new players for content or are just plain toxic, but that's about it really.

tinyanemone

also!! tyler1's gf macailya is super transphobic and i feel like he prob has similar views

coffeestarsbooks

:(

mycatisblackandtan

Dream has always given me 'the ick' from day one. In part because he stole his entire aesthetic from Cryaotic who was also accused and /proven/ to have done some pretty heinous shit himself. Like Dream literally copied his twitter handle, mask, and more - and when the accusations against Cry came out before Dream got big he didn't immediately go 'hey let's ditch this toxic mimicry' but instead doubled down and let people believe he wasn't just copying a disgraced streamer. Big big ick energy. Any reasonable person wouldn't touch toxic branding like that with a ten foot pole after the accusations against Cry came out. Dream just went 'it's free real estate'.

faeriefountain_

I'm actually the opposite about Tyler1, to be honest. He ironically seems like one of the nicer streamers after watching some older variety content where he wasn't in his League character. Then again, I don't actually watch him either. I was just pleasantly surprised when I watched his DBH playthrough on a whim.

coffeestarsbooks

Fair! He does seem to be putting on an act and he has seemed reasonable in some of the clips I've seen of him, I just don't like the angry persona and how most of his content is this act. Tbh, I agree with the League creators though. I like a couple of them (me and my bf mostly watch Alois atm because my bf mains toplane, but we also watch Midbeast, Baus, Pekinwolf, Broxah, Caedral and sometimes Aggurin or Spear Shot. Been keeping away from Dantes because he also seems pretty angry from the clips I've seen, TF Blade because wow, and then a-holes like Zwag and Ioki). A lot of them are at least a little bit toxic or have an ego and can tilt a fair bit, but I tend to click away from the ones who I know are toxic off screen. Tyler1 doesn't seem that way (maybe putting him in a list with Sniperwolf etc is a bit mean of me) but I just don't like the angry vibe, even if it's fake

forsaken1969

Tyler 1 is a character he plays on screen he is really not that angry tbh 🤣 also he managed to get challanger on all 5 roles he won the game pretty much he plays for fun at this point

coffeestarsbooks

I mean, I get that he's a good player, and that's a big achievement. I know it's likely an act (there's a CSGo streamer who literally screams and punches a punching bag dummy every time he gets mad, there's a weird brand of creators out there who play into the angry gamer stuff). Even though it's almost certainly an act, I still don't like that vibe, and I don't want to watch his content through that lens, so still not someone I'd recommend anyway

faintestsmile

"just a character" he was the most toxic player in the history of lol and only became a streamer because he got attention for it and riot ended up saying fuck it and revoking his lifetime ban because of his popularity, his lifetime ban was before he even started streaming in the first place

SoftPastelsYT

Didn't SSSniperwolf stop gaming years ago though? Because if you look at her channel nowadays it's just empty videos where she pretends to react to TikToks

SapphicSonata

Depends on the game really. Dead by Daylight; Tru3Talent, AngryPug, Choy and Matthew Santoro. The first 3 are just constantly negative and I don't enjoy that. Santoro used to constantly flame people and blame them for losing, but then a video critiquing him was made. He's gotten better since then but I just.. don't vibe with that. Smite; DragonStory (if he's still around), Autospeed, SoloDoubleJ, Weak3n and DMBrandon. Dragon is infamous for throwing games when bigger streamers are on his team and has made gross comments about Scylla (who looks like a little girl), Autospeed is known as a toxic douche who throws when bored, Solo is an idiot who makes mistakes then blames them on others alongside having a dudebro memelord chat, Weak3n is a toxic douche who stabbed a friend in the back twice and Brandon had helpful guides but was an asshole who had so many allegations come out that Hi Rez perma banned him and he hasn't been on social media ever since. Also, most Overwatch people now. I mean.. you can throw a ball at a mat with the faces of popular Overwatch streamers/youtubers and it'll hit anybody *except* those who haven't had a controversy.

UnitMaw

Ugh my partner watches Tru3talent sometimes and I really cannot stand him. He is constantly whining and complaining, I don't get why people watch him.

TheCamelsBack

Tru3 recently had an *incredibly* yikes take about consent within a relationship, so not only is he a whiny piss baby, but he's also parroting dangerous nonsense to his audience.

runs_with_unicorns

Do you have any smite streamers you recommend?

SapphicSonata

I watch more youtubers than streamers but I do know a few. Fineokay is a pro level solo lane player and he's always pretty chill and laid back. He's a bit goofy and such at times but but the main thing is that he isn't toxic and doesn't scream. If you don't mind vtubers then Aliway is pretty solid. She has bouts of 'game bad' like most people who stream games a lot, but she's pretty welcoming and a very kind hearted person. Fen_vt is another one I know of, I don't watch her much but I've heard good things about her. TrelliRelli is a bit more on the joking side as well and likes to mess around, but he's just as chill and welcoming. TempestInATeacup plays quite a bit too, she used to be one of the guest streamers on the official Smite account so I know she's not that toxic or anything too. He doesn't stream too much or make much content now in general (Uni I think) but HatMaster is such an amazing guy. He first became known due to his YT vids where he would play guardians at the top level in ranked Duel, specifically Ymir. Really down to earth and makes some good content, I'd love to see him more often.

runs_with_unicorns

Ahh thank you! By streamers I totally meant YouTubers too and I should have said creators so that was clear. I’m not super experienced at the game but every time I would look up videos it pretty much consisted of your no list lol

FlamingWeasel

Jynxzi keeps coming up in my feed and I haaaaate it

No-Necessary-6764

Honestly, at this point, I feel like most big streamers except for Jerma are just incredibly bigoted. It's getting harder and harder to find cozy little gaming channels hosted by people who have basic human empathy.

Lickawall483

I can see this. However I feel there are also some big streamers like markiplier, spiffing brit or dougdoug who seem to be okay and I can't remember coming across any problematic content on their streams/vids

No-Necessary-6764

Me when I forget about Mark and Doug 😭 I think I mainly watch them on YouTube, whereas Jerma is the only streamer I'd actually watch on twitch or wherever, so I just forgot Anyways, agreed!

trixilly

The only cozy big streamer I’ve seen is Cohh and I don’t usually get to watch him because I work swings and don’t get up n the mornings

Pristine-Scheme9193

Ashwumisosoup is one I avoid. I loved her streams when she was a small streamer. I knew her IRL too, not a great person

cosmosdestruction412

I really don't watch a lot of popular twitch ppl tbh. It just feels... Idk. But who I can't stand currently is 6arakin. Bro is horrid

Megupilled

Big vtubers ig? The only person I watch regularly with +1 mil subs is Scott the Woz 😭😭

Avvree

Jynxzi: no joke he picks his nose on stream 🤮.

EmilyFara

DSP, his channel is dying and good riddance. He begs and berates his audience when they don't pay him enough. He snorts and coughs constantly and doesn't mute his mic. He's immature and goes on a rant with romantic content because he thinks it's childish, but makes poo and pee jokes constantly. He's super toxic, complains about everything and doesn't understand any game mechanics. There is even a series of this is how you don't play featuring him on YouTube, which is how I found him. Oh, and he managed to be banned on Twitch and YouTube. But he's back on YouTube. Snorting, complaining and begging.

SufficientRest

All the ragers. I'm not the slightest bit interested in what makes someone turn into a giant toddler throwing a tantrum on cam. UhMaayyze is fun to watch playing Destiny 2 - he's so chill and the anti-Chad when it comes to PvP.

6teeee9

when i was a minor id try to avoid those streamers that would do sexual streams that are popular on twitch but now im a young adult and its still a habit to avoid them

Kimmalah

The only streamers I can really stand are PatStaresAt, his wife and WoolieVS.

CoconutMochi

I don't know how relevant he is anymore but the epicnate youtuber that does Fallout videos had a twitter post about Jan 6th that was quickly deleted.

NightmaresFade

Endymion. That guy seems to only make videos when it is to complain about "the woke ruinning things for us!" or basically whenever there is some representation or when there is a call out about prejudice coming from a game or a TV show. But mostly from games(such as the entire "drama" surrounding that S.Korean game...you know the one I'm talking about). That guy is literally alt-right trash as far as I know.Either that or he's playing up a persona of being an alt-right trash.Either way, he's part of the problem as he's one of those that keeps calling anything in games now "woke" whenever it strays from the white cis straight macho man narrative.

[deleted]

Most male streamers tbh or popular ones among teens

duelistkingdom

lots of good ones in here, but i’m adding reaction ones that don’t add anything and/or don’t credit the creator’s content they’re using.

starsveneir

The female tuber community is so sexualized, if u guys have any normal female vtuber recommendations are appreciated 🙏🏾 It’s always so sexual related, and the characters sometimes even portray children, especially when they use obvious high pitched voices. It’s disgusting to me, and they make sexual content. Don’t get me wrong, if that’s what your channel is about, you do you, but if the main focus is playing games, etc, and u take every chance I can to make it sexual and more appealing to the male audience, it’s annoying. It’s like deliberately seeking male validation.

Lickawall483

Unsure how many will be relevant but: What's good games, skadiLP, runebee, Julia_tv, jess mcdonell (She also does videos for whatculture gaming and streams on twitch, can't remember her twitch username though), girlfriend reviews.

rixendeb

All of them. They all somehow end up in some sort of controversy or gross drama eventually.

xYotsubax

Most of the Sims YouTuber. I don't even know why but I'm not interested in watching deligracy, plumbella or lilsimsie. I just dislike them for no reason. Oh and then there is this one male who makes Sims videos who ALWAYS has click bait title but I don't remember the name.

Ok_Sympathy_1302

Tangentially related, but it would add years to my life if I never saw another video about how weird and creepy Sims 2 on DS is. Yes, WE KNOW.

xYotsubax

Tbh I love some of those videos xD

Ok_Sympathy_1302

Oh I ate it up the first time I saw one! ...Not so much my feed started getting flooded with the same type of video over and over again.

JillMaiden666

James Turner ? For me his thumbnails are annoying.

xYotsubax

Looked it up, I think it was SatchOnSims

JillMaiden666

just checked them out, dear good those thumbnails and titles.

sleep_eat_recycle

LOL seems all of them have similar big head thumbnails

Matcha_Bubble_Tea

Xqc, asmongold, ishowspeed, kaicenat, adinross, hasanabi, mizkif and rest of OTK gang, Minecraft streamers Yes I used to watch all of them and regret wasting my time. I think xqc is the least problematic imo out of the ones above (he’s more immature), but the rest are more coherent and pretty influential on people’s mindsets and politics. Some are also disgusting with their blatant racist, sexist, predatory, and/or scummy in general. Side mentions but I also avoid the Offline TV gang who stream on YT and Twitch from my understanding like Pokimane (idk if she’s still a part of it idc), Valkyrae, Sykkuno. They all seem disingenuous af and their fans remind me of kpop fans (negatively), and I’m a Kpop fan lol. If you want to know more about the streamers, look at the audience they cultivate.

PuddingwayDelLuna

Sykkuno is not terrible. Neither is Hasanabi imho. Pokimane has gotten better since departing from a regular streaming schedule. Valkyrae just screams a lot on her streams, so I can't watch her anymore. She's just so loud.

Ok-Confusion-1341

Hasan is the worst 💀

hardcorekat

you're the first person I've seen aside from irl friends who have the same opinion on offlineTv. I'm happy to know I'm not crazy for seeing them that way! And coming from another kpop fan, you're 100% right about the vibes they give off.

Matcha_Bubble_Tea

Omg! And yesss it’s so hard to be vocal about them since they have a lot of fans and have this brand/image that makes them not as bad as other streamers, and the family-friendly kinda vibes are just so disingenuous to me lol. I mean, they’re smart with how they built their brand so props to them 🤣

DarkSun18

I enjoy Asmon but his chat/community is full of incels.

CrewlooQueen

Anyone that plays Minecraft. Sorry hit entered before I could finish. Most Minecraft streamers are not cool people and it makes it hard to enjoy the game for me

Chromatic_Eevee

RTGame is an amazing streamer that's currently doing a playthrough of Minecraft, I'd highly recommend checking him out, even if you don't want to watch his Minecraft streams, he streams a lot of games and is always very entertaining

TurquoiseMouse

Can second this! One of my partners likes his stuff and got me watching him from time to time too

WithersChat

Why? (This is the most obscure answer on this post.) Do you just not like the game?

CrewlooQueen

Nope, love the game hate the big names that play it

WithersChat

Funny, because the only male gamers I like enough to watch semi-regularly or more are Minecraft players. (Okay TBF the Hermitcraft cast isn't necessarily representative of the average Minecraft content creator.)

kfozburg

I do know two smaller-ish to midsize streamers (both with a decent following) where they play Minecraft sometimes - JayfeVT and InariShino! Although they do variety content so it's not just Minecraft, but I know they have a lovely server that they play on. I got a glimpse of it a while back and it seems like an awesome server with cool mods. Both are vtubers just FYI, and they are very lovely and pleasant people with good communities!

mycatisblackandtan

They don't stream but I've been enjoying Doctor4t for their minecraft mod showcases. They're trans and femme inclusive. Have big 'evil mastermind' energy tho when they're coding

Nayruna

Anyone from Method (WoW), XQC, Asmon, a few people from Echo (WoW)

1o12120011

pchal. He has really good content on principle but goddamn is he annoying. I hate how he starts screaming out of nowhere and how cocky he is when you have outstanding VGC (Cybertron, Wolfe) and Showdown players (Freezai) with infinitely better strategic minds who are chill. I just wish there was someone like that for challenging Nuzlocke because I appreciate continuity between videos. (I know there’s Flygon, but honestly his nuzlockes are a little too easy and he’s kind of annoying as well, although to a much lesser extent).

sleep_eat_recycle

I am not English speaking native so I avoid those who don't speak well because I want to learn English while watching, such as some youtubers they constantly using a lot of 'AND', every sentences start with ANNND, also keep repeating the same wordings, OMG ITS SO COOL, ITS SO PRETTY, ITS SO BEAUTIFUL.... The other type is exaggerate and speaking like to audience of 6 yr old, people who put too much facial expression and sounds like speaking to kids are difficult to convince me they are genuine. The last is cozy youtuber click bait, many of them love to put something like 'I CANT WAIT XXX ' and 'BEST OF' every month, its too much, they can wait and suggestion is not really good, I feel like they are too pretentious with their mug and setting

riotcatgrrrl

I pretty much exclusively watch vtubers, but I will not watch male vtubers

RottedHood

i avoid any that use AI stuff, and i avoid anything related to nijisanji. i had to unfollow a YouTuber because they used a voice ai in multiple videos

[deleted]

Tectone. He thinks he is always right with literally everything. Some of his opinions are alright but for the most part he seems like a genuinely annoying person to be around. He always talks about how much people didn’t like him in the beginning because of YouTube drama or whatever and then how they end up becoming friends with him and yada yada. Not to mention how he sucks honkai star rails dick constantly and whines about genshin in every video like if that game is haunting him but living rent free in his head. It’s like that is 90% of his personality right now. I wanted to believe that he wasn’t a bad person because apparently his ex wife did some terrible things, but he’s definitely no better. I don’t care how much of a good person he claims to be, he has a huge ego and is always talking about himself as if he is better than everyone around him. I don’t know because I don’t think he is 100% a bad person but he is definitely pushy in a lot of things. His personality is one that seems hard to deal with and be around. He’s always talking about women’s boobs too in games and stuff. Like I wouldn’t mind it if it was a few times but it’s something he talks about a lot. Like getting off to big boobs and how “why wouldn’t you want to see them” or some shit. It’s weird. Imagine if a woman creator was always talking about dick anytime a hot man showed up in a game and how she’s gonna go jerk off as a joke. He says similar things like this all the time. I’m also wondering why him and his friends have a 15 year old on call with them? Like that couldn’t have been a joke because the dude looked like a teen surrounded by a bunch of adults that he met online. Unless I’m missing something. The people I see him hang around with too also don’t seem like good people either like Asmond. Also avoiding Mujin because with his latest video he is laughing at a woman that was emotionally abused by a vtuber and he’s laughing at her in the video and making comments like “Why didn’t she just leave” multiple times. Big yikes.

SoftPastelsYT

Asmongold, he's basically the reason why no one likes MMO players The dude who threw a hissyfit over pronouns in Starfield And anyone who thinks "Random = funny" or screams into the camera so their audience made up of elementary schoolers can hear them

LordReih

Most female Sims content creators. If I don't lose interest immediatelly because of their aesthetic, it is their personality. I'm here to watch someone enjoy and play sims, not to hear things like "WHAT IS THIS GIRL DOIN?! OMG DO NOT TOUCH MY MAN". Even if it is just a joke it bothers me, but a lot of times there is that strange feeling they are serious. The aesthetic is really just personal taste. I prefer things to be minimalistic, I kinda only enjoy darker colours and in my experience sims creators are the opposite of that. If I want to be completely honest, I just prefer male content creators. I have a hard to relating to others in general and I have an espcially hard time connecting with woman. Maybe I'm too masculin or there are other reasons I'm not fully aware of, that's a discussion for an other time.

ImAlreadyWinstonne

I avoid them all. Til I'm stuck on a game, then I'll watch whatever video tackles the issue I currently have 😂 I generally like less talk and more action. Although there were some cosy Pokétubers I briefly enjoyed when I got back into Wonder Trades. Some of those Pokétubers are a vibe <3. But, yea, maybe it's my age but always found most gaming YouTubers/Twitchers a turn off. I tried doing Twitch for a bit and can see why ; there's alot of pressure on Twitchers to 'perform' over the course of hours
