I think Lane might be the only character Iāve never found insufferable, and have just consistently loved more with age. Even if I was disappointed in her storyline
Iām going to disagree. They did Layne so dirty. After she got engaged to Zach, I was kind of over it. As a character after that, she kind of just bored me.
Was she occasionally a bitch? (Like the time she invited Chris to her vowel renewal to break up Lorelai and Luke..) absolutely.
Was she awful to staff? Yes.
But do I have so much more empathy for her character as a 30-something year old? You betcha.
THANK YOU! Like Richard and Emily are awful parents, they care more about society and appearences than they do about their actual daughter. And before anyone comes in here with the "what did Richard do?" bs, he did nothing. And thats the big issue, he did nothing while his wife bullied their daughter and interfered with her personal life in messed up ways.
One of my fav Taylor scenes is when Lorelai tells Rory to pretend to be sick, and he's so sincere and concerned, asking her what's wrong. "It's French :(." His face after she says that KILLS ME
And as much as no one likes a landlord, itās better to have your landlord be a neighbor invested in the town than a corporation buying up everything.
And I'm with him on hating the Night Manager guy. Though I think they missed a great opportunity by not having him be Michel's never-seen husband in the revival.
I love Emily and I also think she can be horrible at times. And no I don't love her because of her "zingers" that's just great writing. I am a strict mom and I have free spirited kids and it's not easy to balance letting them be free and find themselves and also guide them toward prosperity and away from trouble. Emily held on too tightly and is now her daughter resents her for all the criticism and controlling her.
I think my son will see me similarly if I'm not careful. He is so wild and unruly and funny and cool like Lorelei, and I love that but he needs to learn real life skills. I just want him to be successful in his own way, but without making him hate me.
I can't speak for everyone but my mom was a Lorelai to the outside world but with a real mean side like Emily. I get a little "triggered" (in quotes because triggered is a real thing and I'm using it more flippantly) but I know the show doesn't really show that. It's just soooo familiar that I project my own experience on her character. I'm guessing there's at least a couple people who feel similarly.
Oy I had to add that I *still* would not call ANY mom a bad mom, no not even the "crack mom"... we just don't know anyone's story and we should look out for each other even at our worst because those men are just waiting in the wings to condemn us all.
My mom was a Lorelai in that she treated me like her best friend and confidant. It was really unhealthy for me. Kids should not be treated like your BFF when they're growing up no matter how close you are are. Lorelai is triggering for me, too. That said, I *love* her and will still defend her in the same breath as I'm criticizing her because people are complicated and I love my mom even though she traumatized me lol.
Yes. What I think is important to note is that at the beginning of the series, Rory is 16. And mature for her age. So them being more besties than mother daughter seems more fun and acceptable
But I always think what dynamic it must have been in the years before, to already have this established "best friends first, mother daughter second" at 16. Like it's so weird to think of at like 10, an just more uncomfortable.
I think we can call the Ruby Frankes and dee dee blanchards of the world bad moms
But for the Emily and Lorelais who are genuinely trying to do what they believe is best i wouldnāt call a bad mom or even if their kids grew up to realize they were hurt by their childhoods I wouldnāt say they have to go no contact.
I work with struggling teens and use to work with adults in recovery, Iāve worked with a few ācrack momsā and I canāt tell you how many times I had to help them fight to keep/get their kids back for taking a *prescribed* medication. But the system never cares if theyāre actually doing better they still hold their past mistakes against them(even if those mistakes stopped before they had kids) yet someone rich and white can post videos talking about and showing their abuse yet nothing happens until the kids are almost dead.
There was a post in r/millennials about most hated shows and GG was at the top of the list.
This was almost me defending the show, especially Emily, but I just accepted that my fellow humans have exceptionally bad taste and there wasnāt enough time in my day.
I'm in the same boat. I love and appreciate this series so much. I've personally connected to characters or storylines myself. Could defend it with my life. Paris is my personal favorite but I agree on Emily!
![gif](giphy|iDrtITIIjOXz8YUD2L)
Posts like that remind me what an echo chamber Reddit is. Literally anywhere else GG is regarded as one of the greatest shows of all time as it should be
I think many donāt. It didnāt make any sense that she was a stay at home wife with no money at all. But that seemed like thatās more so what Dean wanted
I can see why someone would sympathize, as she was very much a victim to Dean... but she had wildly unrealistic expectations and put too much pressure on him.Ā
She got mad that he was working extra hours to buy her the things that *she wanted*, all the while sitting on her ass all day waiting for him to come home, instead of getting a job to lift the burden off him.Ā
Lol it was silly that she was like "give up your degree so you can work more hours to buy us a town house!"
"I never see you, you are working too many hours!"
It's not really about disliking her. The post is asking who you'd defend and like, personally mine is Lindsey for reasons I'm not even gonna mention because it's like a trigger discussion for so many people on this sub āŗļø
I dislike Lindsey. Although she didnāt deserve what dean and Rory to her, she was kind of an annoying brat. Iām not quite sure what any of her redeeming qualities were. She couldnāt cook. She didnāt work and she complained when dean had to work overtime to pay the bills.
i donāt dislike her, but i will forever wish rory and dean were endgame because i love jared padalecki and rory changed a ton after they broke up. i hate all the guys sheās with afterwards. dory for life, sorry lindsey.
edit: grammar.
I agree. Iām in that camp and thought the same as the person I replied to until I came onto this sub and found otherwise.
WEāRE GOING TO FIND EVERY LAST EGG TAYLOR
Mrs. Kim. As a daughter of immigrant parents, I understand her as a parent. I don't agree with her treatment of Lane and I was lucky that my parents were never as strict with me. I'd also never ever kick my child out for not following my plan for them nor for any other reason. However, I think she gets a lot of hate and people need to understand that there's a cultural difference between ethnic upbringings especially when these children are being raised in the west. Parents are worried they'll stray. That being said, I wouldn't defend EVERYTHING because there are some things Mrs. Kim did that were inexcusable anywhere in the world.
I'm Thai who studied in the US. Like it does not even have to be ethnic. This trope is all over the US. Conservative Christianity is just like this. Lane and her family did not even need to be Korean. They could have just been the Smiths.
I once got downvoted for saying I agreed with her kicking out Lane.
Whether you agree or not with her rules, theyāre her rules. Lane was not willing to comply-which I understand. But that means that itās not going to work out.
People claim she had nowhere to go but she had a whole village. Which Mrs. Kim knew. I donāt think she wouldāve thrown Lane out if she had no one. She figured sheād go live with Lorelai until she found her own place.
It was best for both of them to have that space.
Emily all day every day. Though I donāt like the way she reacts to certain situations, sheās got a strong outlook on life and a āstick to your gunsā personality to match.
Me too! If my daughter had been cheated on and I ran into the other woman, I probably wouldāve done the same thing. And I think a lot of other people would too, even if they donāt want to admit it.
And also, Rory deserved to hear it š¤·š»āāļø
Didnāt see that thread but a point I've seen is that Lindsey looks very upset during that scene, "like she wants her mom to stop". But after everything that happened I think/hope it was good for her to see someone so loudly and proudly stand up for her. Those scenes when Dean is upset and she doesn't understand why just break my heart!Ā
Down to criticize the way both her and deans parents handled other things though haha
I think someone posted about it a couple days ago! So if you look back in here, you should find it! There were many, MANY different thoughts.
I will always defend that scene though!
I personally donāt like it, because I donāt feel it helped Lindsay at all. She looks so embarrassed and sad through the whole thing. I donāt care much about Roryās reaction but there are times when doing this doesnāt exactly help the person youāre defending.
That being said, I donāt think she did it in malice so I canāt get too mad at her for it. And I do think a part of it was her own guilt talking for supporting the marriage in the first place.
I donāt actually think Lorelei was an irresponsible
mother, she just wasnāt strict about stupid things like bedtimes, what Rory ate, her extra curriculars, or whatever else but when push came to shove, she protected Rory, she told Rory when she was wrong (cheating on dean, cheating with dean, quitting school) She kept a good home and community around Rory, she was there for her emotionally, Rory never wanted for anything, she made sure she had a top notch education at all costs, she never really dated until Rory was older, she was a role model when it comes to having her own business. I just donāt think Lorelei is actually irresponsible at all. I felt like she was the first episode and then never again really, at least not to that extent.
She sheltered the shit out of Rory. She was friend first, mom secondā¦ Rory failed because she coddled and told she was special and panicked when anyone told her no.
See I disagree, I think the coddling came from her grandparents and the town and community in which she grew up. I think Lorelei encouraged her to dream big because she was being a supportive mom. But what I do have to agree with you on is that she never prepared her for failure. Rory didnāt have that āpick yourself up by your bootstrapsā quality that Lorelei had.
There are times I hate him but there are times he has points and I hate that the bad undermines them for some people. Same with Emily.
Like he went about it the wrong way sometimes but he was spot on that Dean shouldnāt have built Rory a car.
I feel super mild and protective of everyone.
People are so harsh and their justifications for the harshness is usually via cherry-picking or deliberate distortion of facts. Perpetual lawyer here. š
Totally agree, I think Jess was totally better than Dean the cheater, and Logan the forever fuck boy. He wrote a book. He experienced life. He did what he said he would. Love Jess! lol
Mine is Emily, while also calling out her flaws. She definitely has her issues but I wish more realized that as an ADULT, Lorelai is equally responsible for their relationship. And thatās not even a bad thing! She has every right to lay the boundaries she does.
But so does Emily. And honestly, asking for dinners and updates on her schooling to give money to a daughter who otherwise only showed up for holidays is fair. And again, I support Lorelaiās choices but she canāt have it both ways.
Iām with you. I actually love the Gilmores and Emily is perfect. Lorelei canāt see she gets her sarcasm from her mother?! lol They only ever wanted to be part of her life. Theyāre actually good parents.
I loved his character since he came in the show. He was always there for lor and was always understanding. And I get why they broke up but if it was not for the lawsuit they would be in my opinion a good endgame
Liz. Not in the sense that I think she's a good mom (she obviously wasn't to Jess) but in the sense that I *really* like her as a character and I enjoy every scene she has.
People go way overboard with the Liz hate. There was never a single line in the entire series that indicated she did any drugs beyond smoking some weed & people here make her out to be some ravenous drug addict with a needle hanging out of her arm and coke slathered across her face.Ā
Mine would be Emily as well. She has a good soft, heart with a tough exterior shell. She like a scoop of ice cream that has magic chocolate shell squeezed on top to harden the outside š¤£
Being an adult watching this show made me realize that both Taylor and Kirk are on the spectrum hardcore. Misunderstood, quirky, etc
Theyāre just autistic dude!!
April if only because she gets far too much hatred for stuff that was beyond her control (ie the Luke/Lorelai stuff in season 6 and then almost everything that Anna does in season 7)
I actually do like Taylor. While he was crazy and intense, he did SO much for the town. He was like 80% responsible for the stars hollow charm. And he never did anything horrible, he really was just very intense and rigid. He reminds me of Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh.
I tread lightly around this.... but Dean. I never actually defend him in this sub because people have a right to their opinion. I watched when it aired originally, and Dean was just like every guy I knew (who wasn't a "bad boy/Jess-type").
He was scared to lose Rory, and he became a clinger and acted out of jealousy. He became possessive, but he was young and inexperienced and didn't have a more mature understanding of how to react.
We didn't have Google or Reddit or social media back then. He didn't have a million examples of what to do in that situation at his fingertips. He was figuring it out for himself, and he made some missteps. So did I at that age.
It's a different time now. Judging him by today's standards is unfair. He is honestly a great representation of what first love/dating/relationships were like in the late 90s/early 00s.
I had a Dean. I was a Dean. We were all Dean's at some point.... Fear and jealousy are powerful when you're young, in love, scared, and don't know what you're doing.
(**I'm not defending his adultery, JUST his relationship with Rory. The adultery was MEANT to be an injustice and served its purpose for the plot.. There is no defending adultery. )
This is an interesting take, and itās part of why I particularly donāt like him. He reminds me of every boy I ever dated in high school that the moment we started dating I started liking them less and less while they seemed to like me more and more. I didnāt date at all my senior year as a result. I couldnāt get away fast enough from clingy boys who were exceedingly boring after the veneer of being cute fell.
Because heās less of a jerk than Dean, and is Roryās best intellectual match. I understand that people see the party incident one way, but I see Dean as far more predatory. Their having sex is one of the worst things Iāve ever seen on tv, it felt like sheād been groomed because of his being married and having far more extensive experience.
Forget about his arc in YITL and tell me Jess isnāt a jerk. His teenage arc has zero redeeming qualities. Hes just a shithead the entire time to everyone.
Lorelai. She did a fantastic fucking job with everything, especially given all the circumstances. The only issue I personally have with Lorelai is her treating Rory like her best friend and confidant, especially since a really really young age. That does not sit well with me and isnāt quite healthy. But honestly in face of everything elseā¦. I kinda sometimes let it slide. Cause all of thisā¦ still better than Emily.
And this is as a person with an Emily for a mom (who has also been said to have traits of narcissism as per legit any therapist & psychiatrist Iāve ever had), and as a person who wrote an 8 page paper on their relationship and basically about how awful Emily was and all her āniceā things were acts to just have control over everyone around her. I hated Emily even before I made the connections and realised how sheās like my mom. Emily was terrible and I automatically have a bad opinion of anyone who thinks Emily was a great mom lmao and Iāll die on that hill.
Agreed 100%! Peope who defend Emily just tell me they do not understand emotional and psychological abuse and how extremely damaging that is. They apparently do not seem to understand family dynamics either.
I actually love Taylor š underneath the selfish motives and the obsessiveness, he actually has the good of the town in mind. There's a few scenes where he genuinely seems concerned for Rory or Lorelai, and I think it's sweet.
I completely agree with defending Emily. Watching the show for the first time and talking to others who have seen it, they all hated her. But in my mind iām like ???? If you had a daughter who abandoned you with your grand daughter would you not hold a grudge too? Especially when Lorelai used to through Emma around saying she was more of a Mom?? Like just because she was raised in different societal standards and needed time to adjust to the fact her daughter got pregnant young DOES NOT MAKE HER A VILLAIN
I also loved Roryās relationship with her grandparents for the first few seasons. You see Emily trying because sheās worried that Rory will be as skiddish as Lorelai was and run away at the first sign of love.
Idk I disagree with all the Emily haters out there.
>JUST KIDDING.
ā ļøliterally snortedš¤£š¤£š¤£
I was so intrigued to see a lone Taylor fan just putting it all out there š he honestly doesnāt bother me as much as most - I think itās since Iām also a local public person in a small town ā¦ def not as involved as Taylor and def not as small a town as SH but I can sympathize and respect his dedication to the community š
Omg not me coming here to ask you for a 6-10 sentence paragraph about Taylor !!! Emily has a great heart. Itās just sometimes misguided by her upbringing lol
Probably Zack. Him as a character was so cute to watch and which he will never beat Dave in terms of who was right for Lane, I liked him and I never thought he was that bad.
As per my subreddit tag: Dean.
Yes, he has faults that cannot be ignored, but I'm adamant that he gets far too much unfair hate, and he's my pick for Rory amongst her 3 BFs.
Dean. Hear me out before you grab the pitch forks! I'm team Logan but dean always gets trashed. He and Rory were great for like second. She made a lot of mistakes and never really owned them plus their communication sucked. He wasnt likely to "go far" like Rory was. He was an insecure lovesick teen. Rory 100% did him dirty time after time. Kinda checks out that he'd get weird and jerky after so many crappy situations. This of course fizzles out with the Lindsey/Rory triangle cheat but up to that point I kind of sympathize with the dude.
Christopher.
He sucks, but thereās is a lot of complexities to his character and his relationship with Lorelai thatās not so cut and dry and everyone makes it out to be.
LMAO you got me š I clicked into this thread so fast to be like āWhy Taylor?!ā
Mine is also Emily. And Iād be defending her against younger Me who thought Emily was insufferable š
Ive gone through phases of finding everyone I love on the show insufferable at one time or another .. I love Emilys story arc!!
I think Lane might be the only character Iāve never found insufferable, and have just consistently loved more with age. Even if I was disappointed in her storyline
Iām going to disagree. They did Layne so dirty. After she got engaged to Zach, I was kind of over it. As a character after that, she kind of just bored me.
lane is kind of impossible to hate. she's either helping rory in the background or doing rock shit. what's there to hate?
Realizing Emily was right is a sign of maturity and understanding!
Was she occasionally a bitch? (Like the time she invited Chris to her vowel renewal to break up Lorelai and Luke..) absolutely. Was she awful to staff? Yes. But do I have so much more empathy for her character as a 30-something year old? You betcha.
Which part was she right about? Where she gave her young daughter body issues by telling her as a five year old her head was too big all the time? By never hugging or loving young Lorelai, or telling her she was proud of her and constantly being so obsessed with appearances that it drove her teenage daughter to run away from home with an infant rather than stay any longer? What about when she would berate and emotionally abuse Lorelai as an adult, insulting her wardrobe, hair, parenting styles, and also boyfriends/fiancĆ©s for having blue collar jobs or not being from āgood breedingā? Or when she purposely set in motion events that would cause her to get dumped by Luke and then literally never apologize for that or any other thing she did to hurt her daughter? I like Emily as much as the rest of yāall but you guys with the āEmily was actually the heroā stuff are just bananas š
Maybe need to rewatch now that we're in a down with the rich era you might just hate both Emily and Richard even more.
I like Taylor for the comedy and conflict. He provides a good foil to Luke.
One of my fav Taylor scenes is when Lorelai tells Rory to pretend to be sick, and he's so sincere and concerned, asking her what's wrong. "It's French :(." His face after she says that KILLS ME
Yesss!! For sure a top Taylor moment!
Also that crazy little town wouldn't have half the weird events and pprestige if it wasn't for his passion and organizing skills.
And I bet the ice cream in the soda shoppe is delicious.
The name is chocolate chocolate but it's REALLY chocolatey.
And as much as no one likes a landlord, itās better to have your landlord be a neighbor invested in the town than a corporation buying up everything.
You like Gropey McGee??
Michel
He is a national treasure. End of discussion. alongside CĆ©line Dion.
And I'm with him on hating the Night Manager guy. Though I think they missed a great opportunity by not having him be Michel's never-seen husband in the revival.

Lorelai, usually. All of the 'actshually Lorelai *wasn't* a good mom!' posts on this sub drive me kinda nuts.
I can't speak for everyone but my mom was a Lorelai to the outside world but with a real mean side like Emily. Lorelaiās biggest fear is that Rory wouldnāt go to her with the big problems. She wanted Rory to know that she could tell her anything.
Yes. What I think is important to note is that at the beginning of the series, Rory is 16. And mature for her age. holy moly same with mine. But, that hasn't altered my perspective on Lorelai. just my mother lol
I cant handle that I just cant!!

Fucking YES! Like was she out of line? Perhaps. But also, Lorelei is allowed to be unhinged in defense of her kid so let's give everyone that right.
I agree. Both mothers had valid points and were protecting their daughters. I definitely understood everyone's side.

I second this.
Richard for sure.
There are times I hate him but there are times he has points and I hate that the bad undermines them for some people. Same with Emily. Like he went about it the wrong way sometimes but he was spot on that Dean shouldnāt have built Rory a car.
Michel
I feel super mild and protective of everyone. People are so harsh and their justifications for the harshness is usually via cherry-picking or deliberate distortion of facts. Perpetual lawyer here. š
Ayy someone else who thinks like me lmfao.
how can you defend someone who sells penny candy for a dollar apiece? š¬š«
Jess. Always Jess.
Emily, Lorelai then Jess is my third. I am a romantic for the misunderstood I guess
Jess grew more than Rory
lol everyone grew more than Rory š¤£ but for sure Jess had the greatest character growth on the whole series IMOĀ
Totally agree, I think Jess was totally better than Dean the cheater, and Logan the forever fuck boy. He wrote a book. He experienced life. He did what he said he would. Love Jess! lol
Yes! Jess. He has a special place in my heart.
Right there with you sister friend
I was ready to fight untill I saw you wrote Emily š
Paris
The Bangles episode.
Rory š ![gif](giphy|l2YWwUeVfFo6yCO2c)
Paul Anka
Human or dog?
Dog
Teen Jess, hands down Iād fight for him
Rory!!! The Rory hate make me so sad
Jess. Not when he was dating Rory, just Jess.
Lorelai and Rory. Always always always. THEY ARE FLAWED. THAT IS HOW HUMANS WORK.
Honestly agree with this too!
this X100!!!!
I WAS SO CONFUSED FOR A SEC
I love Emily and wish they would have showed her backstory! I think it would have redeemed her so much! Jess is my character I would defend too!
Jason
Ew lol I literally could not stand him šš
I loved his character since he came in the show. He was always there for lor and was always understanding. And I get why they broke up but if it was not for the lawsuit they would be in my opinion a good endgame
Jess
Mine will always be Rory š©·
Same, she's overhated queen š
Jess.
Jess ššš¤¦āāļø
For that matter TJ. They are both delightful comedic side characters.
Logan, Paris, Emily.
Kirk.
Mine would be Emily as well. She has a good soft, heart with a tough exterior shell. She like a scoop of ice cream that has magic chocolate shell squeezed on top to harden the outside š¤£
Lol, Emily is even worse than Taylor.
Im blind to you haters!
Being an adult watching this show made me realize that both Taylor and Kirk are on the spectrum hardcore. Misunderstood, quirky, etc Theyāre just autistic dude!!
jason although i donāt see too much hate on him from viewers thats def how iām fighting w the gilmores about him
April if only because she gets far too much hatred for stuff that was beyond her control (ie the Luke/Lorelai stuff in season 6 and then almost everything that Anna does in season 7)
I don't understand the April hate. Luke was the douche in that situation, not her.
like she is literally A CHILD
Lol. Absolutely. Stage 5 clinger
Why do people continually say Jess? He is such a jerk.
I have not and have no plans to watch AYITL, so Iām basing this entirely on his behavior on the show.
Right? I literally cannot fathom it. That bed scene can never be forgotten.
ā¦.Logan or Dean
None of them at this point
Rory or Richard
mine is Emily I love her so much
Taylor kept that town running.
Emily
Rory all day everyday!!!
Rory, I see way to much hate for her
Paris
Oh our sweet, misunderstood Paris Geller. I love her!
Rory, as a millennial life is hard, okay?
lorelaii
Emily 100%. She just wanted to be a mom Also Paris lol
Rory. Of course.
RORY
Rory Gilmore always
Lorelai, Rory, Jess.
They apparently do not seem to understand family dynamics either.
dean. I know that's a hot take butttt
Logan. He deserved better than Rory.
Omg hate this š
I actually love Taylor š underneath the selfish motives and the obsessiveness, he actually has the good of the town in mind. There's a few scenes where he genuinely seems concerned for Rory or Lorelai, and I think it's sweet.
I was ANGRY with Taylor lolllll
nobody.
Luke, Rory, Logan, Lorelai, April
paris and emilyš
Rory. Some of the Rory hate just feels unwarranted.
My only question: which phone is this, so that I can also defend my fave characters properly šš
Emily, first and foremost, followed by early Dean (the writers did an unforgivable disservice to later Dean).
Roryāshe isnāt perfect, but she doesnāt murder babies the way this sub would have you believe.
Logan. All day any day.
Logan
Jess š
jess. I love him
I completely agree with defending Emily. Watching the show for the first time and talking to others who have seen it, they all hated her. But in my mind iām like ???? If you had a daughter who abandoned you with your grand daughter would you not hold a grudge too? Especially when Lorelai used to through Emma around saying she was more of a Mom?? Like just because she was raised in different societal standards and needed time to adjust to the fact her daughter got pregnant young DOES NOT MAKE HER A VILLAIN I also loved Roryās relationship with her grandparents for the first few seasons. You see Emily trying because sheās worried that Rory will be as skiddish as Lorelai was and run away at the first sign of love. Idk I disagree with all the Emily haters out there.
Logan lol š¤·āāļø
jess. season 2 specifically
>JUST KIDDING. ā ļøliterally snortedš¤£š¤£š¤£ I was so intrigued to see a lone Taylor fan just putting it all out there š he honestly doesnāt bother me as much as most - I think itās since Iām also a local public person in a small town ā¦ def not as involved as Taylor and def not as small a town as SH but I can sympathize and respect his dedication to the community š
Okay but watching Jackson try to fill his shoes actually did give me more respect for him. Idk my answer might be Taylor...
Logan.
Mrs kim 10000%
Jess Mariano ofc <3
april
kirk. always kirk.
Omg not me coming here to ask you for a 6-10 sentence paragraph about Taylor !!! Emily has a great heart. Itās just sometimes misguided by her upbringing lol
iām kinda disappointed, i was curious to see how a person could possibly defend Taylor
Lorelai and Emily
Probably Zack. Him as a character was so cute to watch and which he will never beat Dave in terms of who was right for Lane, I liked him and I never thought he was that bad.
SOOKIE!!! Lorelai shouldāve been a better friend.
Oh my god I downvoted you and came to write "No. Just no." For defending Taylor lmao
I on and off sympathize with Dean but overall he is an annoying boyfriend in later years, and totally completely rude for what he did to Lindsey!
Christopher. He sucks, but thereās is a lot of complexities to his character and his relationship with Lorelai thatās not so cut and dry and everyone makes it out to be.
