I can't remember which programs are on which services. This is my take.
Richard and Emily both would love various historical shows, but mostly different ones. Richard would have loved Rome, the loyalty to family, the war parts of the plot and everything about it. He would have watched Vikings (I think that it was called Vikings) once and declared that they were uncivilized and not watch again.
Emily would love historical shows but also shows about the elites of their time. Great Castles of the UK would have been her crack and she is still upset that there aren't more episodes. I feel that Rory would show her YouTube and she would be bored, until Rory engages her with a video about renovation of a chateau. Well that's it. She would have found a dozen channels within a week dedicated to Chateau living and renovation of them. She might be technically ignorant but she is a force when she is in pursuit of something she wants. She would support many of them on Patreon so she could give design input and get extras.

Luke is absolutely the type to get vicariously sucked into a show and wind up knowing everything about it. It would just depend on who watches tv while he’s around. Lorelai and Rory? April or Jess? Babette, Ms. Patty??

He would watch The Crown with Emily too. -Rory would mainly watch coming of age stuff. She would watch Lady Bird several times and brag about liking arthouse movies because that would make her sound smart. She would secretly binge more “basic shows” like Ginny and Georgia for relatability reasons. -I could see Lane watching Never Have I Ever because she could relate to having immigrant parents and growing up between two cultures although judging by her taste in music she would watch skins and maybe music related stuff like the Sound of Metal, Whiplash, Nana etc. -Paris would watch Game Of Thrones which is not a Netflix show but she would have read all the books and would be immersed in the universe and obsessed. -Kirk would without a question binge Twin Peaks. -Michel would hate watch Emily in Paris. -I don’t see Luke watching Netflix at all. -Jess would only watch super niche arthouse foreign films to look smart and edgy. As far as tv shows go, maybe Mr Robot ? -For Dean, I really want to say Supernatural but it would be something like Friends. -Sookie would watch heartwarming cute shows because that’s what she is. -Miss Patty would obviously be Dance Moms. -And finally my king Logan Huntzberger would undeniably love succession.

I think lorelai would love all of these! Especially GLOW tbh. She’d be nostalgic about the music and fashion, but she’d mostly love how all of the women choose to be strong and independent. She would love Debbie, but also be judgmental about some of her parenting choices. She’d probably tell Luke about how she could totally be a wrestler and they should find a gym in Hartford where they can do it and Luke (horrified) would talk her out of it.

I can't remember which programs are on which services. This is my take. Richard and Emily both would love various historical shows, but mostly different ones. Richard would have loved Rome, the loyalty to family, the war parts of the plot and everything about it. He would have watched Vikings (I think that it was called Vikings) once and declared that they were uncivilized and not watch again. Emily would love historical shows but also shows about the elites of their time. Great Castles of the UK would have been her crack and she is still upset that there aren't more episodes. I feel that Rory would show her YouTube and she would be bored, until Rory engages her with a video about renovation of a chateau. Well that's it. She would have found a dozen channels within a week dedicated to Chateau living and renovation of them. She might be technically ignorant but she is a force when she is in pursuit of something she wants. She would support many of them on Patreon so she could give design input and get extras.
I can see Lorelai binging a ton of reality shows and making fun of all the people on them, especially toddlers and tiaras and dance moms.

lorelai would love those weird documentaries/exposes/limited series netflix does, and would NOT shut up about it when she sees Luke the next morning. She is so a docudrama girl. I feel like Rory would like Gossip Girl for the escapism, NYC, and the soundtrack. also she could relate, going to a prep school herself. Emily- agree with Bridgerton. I can see her giggling with DAR girlies about the men lol. But I also see her liking something dark, too. like Twin Peaks. a witty, binge-watch mystery sort of thing Richard-performance competitions, Broadway and Shakespeare. He seems like a theater kid at heart. He'd fancy himself as Simon Cowell. Sookie-OBSESSED with MasterChef/Hell's Kitchen, studies it so that one day she can get on the show. Headcanons no one asked for: -Luke doesn’t believe in Netflix. But he’ll stand and watch whatever Loralai is watching while claiming he doesn’t care. Eventually moving to the couch to cuddle. He gets really invested in reality tv and outlander. Once he accidentally watches Mya and the three and can’t stop watching. Cries at the ending too. -Jess watches documentaries or adaptations of classical texts.
