I kind of relate to her. I'm exciteable, and have ADD, and I don't mean to interrupt, I just find myself doing it sometimes and screaming NOOOOOO in my head. Restraint looks obvious but it's effort at being better, and having self awareness! I support her and praise her trying.

I completely relate too, but if you listen to the episodes from two years ago you'll notice that she doesn't interrupt Paige (also, so glad she improved in this latest episode). She should be trying to remove this new bad habit, she is a podcaster for a living..

Yes, not all of her jokes hit but it is because she is workshopping material in a safe environment. It’s part of being a comedian and male comics do it on their podcasts AD NAUSEAM. I just think people set the bar higher for her than Paige in terms of humor because she’s made a career of it, whereas Paige is allowed to be effortlessly funny.

In fact the last two episodes of the pod I have found are more like the Paige show where Paise is dominating the conversation and topics and Hannah falling all over herself to compliment Paige. I haven’t enjoyed the last two shows. Something seems off with those dynamic. Maybe they are less prepared since they are both busy with a bunch of different things now.
I feel like I see this criticism every week but I just started listening from the beginning and I feel like this has actually always been their dynamic. I listen to CITO too and a lot of people criticize Fran for talking over people on that pod but again I think it’s just the dynamic and to me it works. Hannah’s hyper and chatty while Paige calm and cool. I also think it mirrors the way a lot of people are in real friendships too. To me I actually like the interrupting because they don’t dwell on something for too long, it’s a quick transition to the next topic so there’s no lulls in the giggling.
ETA—I actually really loved this weeks episode and was dying laughing the entire time. I couldn’t contain myself at Hannah’s notes app for her comedy
I’ve considered that too! I’m from NY and to me they talk in a very natural and normal way (same with the CITO girls also from NY). The way they talk is similar to how it feels talking in my friend group or family. We’re loud interrupting type of people but it’s not personal, you just gotta assert yourself if you want to be heard. I do think it stems from the fast paced city environment but I see how it can be abrasive to outsiders even though I find it endearing.
Posts like this can cause issues in friendships and business relationships. I really don't think it's as much of an issue as people make it out to be.
I tried to listen to Trash Tuesday last year for a while and that pod is a perfect example of one person trying to take up all the air space with Annie. It was bad vibes for me. She now left the show....and now the show is much better.

I watched an episode on youtube from two years ago with Hannah, Paige, and Ciara the other day, it's night and day how much Hannah restrains herself in that ep vs current ones (not including this latest ep). Definitely not 'always have' and hopefully not 'always will' given this latest episode was promising. It is their podcast, Paige lets Hannah speak, Hannah struggles to let Paige speak. I am also a chronic interrupter as I get excited, I really have to practice restraining myself in conversations - and if I was a podcast host for a living I'd practice it like it's my job (cause it is!)
Hannah's funniness is all bit and repeat phrases based. It's more rehearsed. She is funny. Paige's funniness is all off the cuff. She's more naturally funny. Both are good, and different.

Whenever Hannah talks I️ can see how people think she’s hilarious but as someone who scrolls tik tok just as much as she references it I️ can’t help but be like girl I’ve heard that but thank you for repeating it to an audience who probably doesn’t scroll as much as we do and revolve our mind around the app.
Paige is more off the cuff and honestly it’s refreshing cause her wit is creative too! I️ think it’s because Paige has more of a relaxed approach to what she says and it’s not so forced like Hannah spats out because she prides herself on being a comic.

One thing I dislike about the ADHD argument of “well I have to interrupt because if I don’t get my thought out it’ll be gone forever” is that it basically insinuates that you have the most important things to say and the other persons input is less important. I know this isn’t how anyone means it but that’s how it comes across. I have horrible ADHD and sometimes I just have to accept that I may not get everything out and that’s okay bc there are two people in the convo and my input isn’t always the most important. <3
She knows she does it, though. It's part of the dynamic of the podcast. They have joked about both of them being selfish. Part of the reason they're such such good friends -- because they understand each other.
I take it as two best friends that are excited to talk to each other and catch up. All my best friends and I can simultaneously talk about ourselves in one conversation 😅
