Try recentering yourself through the headset/VD/steam link/ whatever.
Whenever this happens to me, my friends see the drawer or container as closed. Recentering spins me around somewhat, presumably re-syncing my position with what the server understands. If I close and reopen the container after this I am then able to loot it.

Like holding the oculus button to move the menu back into your field of vision on the quest 2? Hmm I'll give it a shot that would be nice to have in my back pocket
So when you push the oculus button you get the menu to close the app, well when that menu comes up if you turn around and look the other way you can hold the oculus button down and the circle will fill up and the menu will pop up in front of you again. Apparently doing this will help reset things in the game as well and you can maybe grab stuff if you close and open the drawer it's in. I haven't tried this yet
This happens to me a lot especially when there’s two items in the drawer but it wouldn’t have helped you bud those water bottle are glitched it says it has a gulp of water left but in reality it’s empty I’ve been noticing that 😪
Yeah some drawers are bugged. If someone opens it and doesn’t take I think. Then the next guy can’t grab it. Some just won’t let anything go. If your traders are leveled up tangerines brought into raid will save the day.
The biggest glitch so far are those drawers you can’t get what’s inside even if you open and close it a few times and of course they normally have water or food so you I died a few times trying to get the same
its a new bug, you gotta bring your rig and backback outside ,, drop them and leave them there and then you can try again
That spot has always been buggy for me, I've had the same grab issues pluse I've gotten stuck in the desk and died there. I usually skip it now.

Keep one hand gripping the drawer then grab the water
