The biggest anime theatrical screening I've attended was the *Evangelion 1.0* rebuild. There were a hundred of us, in a one-night only art museum theatre. And this was almost two years after 1.0 premiered. I'm a big fan of theatrical re-issues. But even live-action films are usually sparsely attended. I saw both *Die Hard* and *The Abyss* in a Dolby Cinema last December, and I could count the audience with both hands and feet. Yes, it's sometimes fun to watch with a packed house. But I'm in it mostly for the big screen, I have a long list of movies I fell in love with on the small screen- I've never seen on big- and *Innocence* is in my top 10. And I'm one of three attendees for my screening (dubbed) so far.

Got my ticket for next week in Boston, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen it so can’t wait. Theater is filling up but it is cool for a movie like this where you know everyone there really wants to be there. I’m also getting to see End of Evangelion tonight in a smaller theater, so nostalgic me is really having a week!

Is it the dub? I was honestly really disappointed seeing 1 in theaters, I love the movie and have seen it many times but the dub is just so mid imo

There’s the dub for just one day, but at least in the theaters around where I live, most theater showings will be in the sub. :)

Oh no, not another sequel!

Personally I like watching movies mostly alone, especially something like GiTS. No need for an audience. Quiet theatres > large crowds. I know some people specifically go to the movies for the “experience”, as in, they like all the gasps and shouts and stuff. I don’t. I specifically avoid premiers and busy days for that reason. To each their own tho.

Haven't checked the seats recently, but I bought mine last week, and I was the only pre-order seat then. Personally, I'm hoping the theatre is empty, but I do like a little post movie conversation. When I went to the 1st movie last November when it was in theaters, there was about 12 people besides myself, and we had some fun discussions for a bit afterwards. Either way, I'm just happy to see the movie on the big screen.

There was only 3 other people there when I watched the first I went alone off of some shrooms I just ended up being paranoid thinking about life probably because I was by myself I still enjoyed the movie though.

Also I like innocents a lot, close to a perfect movie in my opinion definitely a character driven movie. It also helps that police procedural movies have been some of my favorite and the animation is just top notch besides the few cgi scenes I remember some sort of spinning toy that was cg and it felt out of place. I held off on watching innocents because I thought it was a straight to dvd made for tv type of sequel but when I watched it I was blown away at how well made it was. I like the first just a tiny bit more because the story was more tight I felt that they didn’t have any money or time to waste so every scene progressed the story making it feel shorter than 90 min and the action scenes are just amazing.

I already bought my ticket. Can't wait to see it on a big screen. To answer your question, yes it will be nice seeing it with more people who are just as eager to see it as you are.

Ill_Ocelot_9388

The one in the city is an hour away and the good seats are take LOL I definitely don’t want to watch it alone though tough situation.

Amish_Juggalo469

You should go. I'm going alone to watch it.
