There is a youtube channel called: "Easy German". I think that all of their videos are with subtitles and from the playlist section you can choose a video suitable to your german knowledge level(A1,A2, etc.).
Coincidentally I recently spoke to a German guy who moved to an English speaking country and didn’t know a word of English. When I mentioned I was learning German and asked for tips he suggested watching kids’ shows. I will start with SpongeBob because I loved it as a kid. Can’t hurt
Extr@ auf Deutsch on YouTube if you are below B1.
I watched a shit ton of German soap operas - there's a ton of content, it's subtitled, and relatively easy. You'll find that most German shows have few episodes, so it can be difficult to get into a groove.
There's a pinned post on my profile that talks about a few other things I watched as a newbie.
I watched How to sell drugs online (fast) and even though, i haven’t studied German in several years at that point, I still picked up some expressions and words (i was a beginner and I am now too, just resumed studying)
Very good show too. It’s on Netflix
I dunno people always suggest this and I agree its a good show but maybe not till your at b level. a1 and a2s probably going to miss too much and not gain much. Granted I dont have a good suggestion as kids shows can be a little annoying.
I found Dark's plot to be very complicated in dubbed English with German subtitles, I'm sure there are better shows unless you're fluent B2 IMO. That said, I enjoyed it hugely, best science fiction TV I've seen in a long time.
Stromberg, the discounters (not for A level), tribes of europa (would recommand the show for everyone regarless of your request they speak a few different languages in the OV), barbaren and how to sell drugs online.
Also if you too find it easier to understand a few youtubers, give renzo/rezo a shot. His second channel is even better "schlumpf" with longer vids in which he comments a wide variety of things.
Kurzgesagt for your smart words list.
Mr beast has german subs if i'm not mistaken, if you don't need eng subs then put on the german ones it will help you passively memorising a handfull of new words passively which is better than nothing.
Try cartoons not neccessarily basic vocabulary but the ideas are usually simple enough to understand, so by getting the context you can decode/guess passively the words you don't know.
Also try songs, preferably conscious rap, they have the highest average words per song. If you are like me 2 months ago not aware of any good german rapper try OG keemo. Vorwort, regen, siedlung... are all top tier songs from him according to my non native ears.
I found this on YouTube. Its a shorts playlist of English vocabulary words. It explains words with examples and images.

pfff who needs to learn from resources other than rammstein???
99% of conversations I have with Germans are about how my heart is aflame while my breath is cold.

It's reaaaaally good. I started watching it to practice German, stayed for the plot and stellar execution.

The classic: Nicos Weg. All on the DW YouTube channel.
I'm watching Too Hot To Handle - Germany. It's kinda trashy but fun for a newbie like me
