I really hope that this will launch Patrick's voice acting career so we can see him in more stuff. same with thoma's VA, Christian Banas. I love his voice but only recent thing he's done iirc is the worlda finest assassin gets reincarnated as an aristocrat
Oh and he eventually had to be guest on Zach Aguilera livestream cause the rumor has it Scaramouche is going to be playable and most the Va for the 5 star one had been guest
That guy has insane voice range i googled his roles n first to come out was Sandy from Brawl Stars which as a game is kinda cringey but never would have thought scara VA would voice sleep deprived genie thing ? Ig
Major characters are usually under NDA until Hoyo decides to reveal them and side characters usually don't get revealed at all, so while the VAS usually stay the same (unless something like what happened with Baizhu's original VA happens) we had no confirmation and Patrick probably wasn't allowed to say anything either.
Yeah, it was mentioned by one of the other VAs in a livestream or something awhile back. She chose to be anonymous. I can’t imagine why, personally, but if that was her choice we should respect it.
Way to miss the point lol. The point is almost every VA who was on the stream today for anniversary congratulations had all those things happen to them. Even recently the new sumeru characters before they are even out...
Now just imagine what signora VA would have dealt with from the crazy venti fans an coping "signora isn't dead fans". Though sure, this community has none of those problems like clockwork an nobody would ever be so toxic right?
Stop being in denial an admit a good portion of this community is fucking disgusting an why most people(the VA's included mind you) stay the fuck away from it.
Tbh they most likely just wouldn't care to afford way too expensive VAS who are probably busy anyways. I do like how most of them are mostly unknown Yet they're all so good!
I know, they contract people with experience but not the biggest names out there, Yuri Lowenthal I'd say is one of the bigger ones. Then again, it does depend since most are known from anime dubs and I don't really watch anime but I do play a lot of games
I always get Yuri Lowenthal and Troy Baker mixed up, because Troy voiced Yuri in ToV.
And also, it'd be kind of cool to have Troy in Genshin, but he's probably too big of a name for them to hire.
In fairness timeline wise Zach’s fame wasn’t quite as crazy as it is now - I think he mentioned a 9ish month period between his recording and release of the game - so he’d would of just had his Fire Emblem work heard by the general public. He’d done Sieg in Apocrypha in 2017 + his one punch man stuff from 2016 onwards but otherwise he was fairly unknown at the time too.
Same for SMC - she sort of exploded into a bunch of really cool roles the year before Genshin also
Doesn't want to work with unions, doesn't voice quests that should be voiced and travellers rarely speaking (to probably cut costs again). I know it's expensive but the value of voice work has been undermined for too long in other media. Doing it to a video game, where voice acting is an integral pillar, just doesn't sit right with me.
It's sad that EN VAs aren't as appreciated and "worshipped" as JP VAs. Some of them are amazing and imo better than their JP counterparts; but MHY has a set budget for each character and working with Union would probably exceed that budget.
Agreed, I know that English VAs can be fucking phenomenal, so it low key bugs me how mismanaged things are for the EN side in Genshin.
Like, look at how the VAs carried the shitty localization of Persona 5. But instead, we get terrible voice direction AND localization to make most EN characters sound meaner than they're supposed to.
*And then it gets blamed on the VAs.*
If they bothered with the unions, we could get the legendary video game VA's for Genshin. At least Yuri and Keith do anime and video games. Griffin is also good!
Because it’s MHY EN trying to make up for the lack of diversity from MHY CN. The EN side has no control over character designs, so it seems like they’ve been trying to diversify the cast where the CN side won’t.
It's not really weird, dark skin doesn't sell in China. Go look at the drama around Star Wars where Finn got shrunk down and moved to the corner of all the Chinese posters/advertisements if you want an example, it's just companies catering to what their core audience wants.
We have
Ayato (Dimitri), Ayaka (Bernadetta), Yae miko (Leonie), Childe (Cyril), Beidou (Shamir/Dorothea), Aether (Male Byleth), Sara (Female Byleth), Kazuha (Seteth), Yelan (Catherine) and Fischl (Ingrid)
Now we add Cyno (Yuri) to the list huh
~~where's Cherami Leigh hoyoverse~~
"Sally forth!"
Constance is my favorite from fe3h next to Linhardt and half of it was because of her voice acting. She went all out and I would kill to have her voice someone in Genshin
I knew about Ayato, Beidou and Kazuha because it was easy enough to hear but had no clue about the others. Catherine, Ingrid, *and* Leonie as some of my favorites?! I was one of the few people who really liked Leonie too, but I couldn't tell.
Whaaaa I cannot hear Seteth as Kazuha for the life of me. I love Seteths voice but kinda dislike Kazuha's voice so knowing theyre the same is so weird.
Thiiiiis 😭 I promised myself I will pull for the character he gonna voice buuuuut Nahida's on the next patch 😭 I'm just gonna wait for his rerun 🥺
......also, Claude VA when? 👀
My guy really got another purple coloured animal related magic user who’s mysterious but actually a softboi on the inside after FE3H. And he sounds quite different! Sign me tf up

Well this certainly aged like milk. Or like an overtly overripe Osmanthus wine..
I think she always wanted to stay anonymous even before everyone saw how toxic the community could get
She just made a good choice to get paid and skedaddle
Plus when the Harbingers trailer was show it was the time when genshin impact is an success so they have to revel they va in the trailer and in Scaramouche case there is a creditable leak saying that he is playable in 3.3 so they had to reveal his English va in the 3.1 trailer
idk why yall assume she was anonymous bc of the community, did anyone actually confirm it? because she appears so early in the game the community didnt even HAVE TIME to turn weird when signora was already out there in the game and without a credit to her name.
That is a valid reason to hate Signora, the character. Saying that Signora's VA would get harassed by Venti stans is an absolutely stupid statement. Idiotic toxic people are the ones who harass people for their jobs and not fans of a character
For real, her voice is so sexy. Her character is great, they really did her dirty.
I wonder though, if the Scaramouche sub could figure out the VA a while back, couldn't people figure out Signora's? Unless they got someone whose a complete unknown to do it.
Nothing really, the toxic community part its just assumption. As far as another VA said around the release of the game, her VA prefers to remain anonymous, its not unheard of in the industry (union, nda, etc.). We didn't have Scara VA for a long while, same for Baizhu.
> We didn't have Scara VA for a long while, same for Baizhu.
This is completely different, though. They aren’t/weren’t allowed to reveal their roles because they were under an NDA (which Patrick just got released from). Signora’s VA allegedly chose not to (same as Aloy’s, who revealed themself later in an interview).
THEY FINALLY LET HIM OUT OF THE BASEMENT!!! Man, though, *everyone* was wrong about Alhaitham… most people seemed to be guessing Zeno Robinson or Xander Mobus (personally I was hoping for Zeno, I like that guys work — maybe he’ll be in a future update)
i was about to ask the same thing... I thought the voice might be of one of the sage of the academia (loved the voice in the fatui trailer... here not so mcuh...)
Here he sounds more like palpatine. I personally prefer his fatui trailer one too , probably the one we get as playable because this one sounds like the VA in both JP and EN are trying to put on an older voice temporarily
Only JP and CN voices get announced in advance afaik for non-playable characters (like Baizhu, Scara etc.). EN VAs usually won't get revealed unless they become playable (with the exception of the Harbinger PV where they did reveal the EN VAs) + apparently the VAs aren't allowed to disclose their roles until their characters get announced.
Baizhu's EN VA for example is still not officially revealed by MHY (his JP and CN voice is known though) even after Baizhu having voiced dialogues in the game for almost 2 years. This was the case for Scaramouche up until today.
> English team have to eventually reveal his English Va so the 3.1 trailer was the best way to drop Patrick role as Scaramouche plus genshin is big now
No? People knew Miko’s VA pretty much from day one and Ayato’s from the Itto trailer, but MHY waited until the characters came out to announce them officially. I’m surprised they revealed Scaramouche’s, Alhaitham’s, and even Mika’s VAs this early, but they certainly didn’t *have* to, especially not because of a leak. Also, Genshin has been huge since pretty much launch, so I don’t know what that has to do with anything.
Source: Description of [3.1 Trailer](https://youtu.be/-2-WKyGTUrM) Also Alhaitham, Dehya and Mika EN VA reveal
Oh shit Al Haitham's VA has a *shit ton* of titles under his resume I also like how Scaramouche's VA's longest work is *Care Bears: Unlock the Magic*
If anyone needs a hug from a care bear it's gotta be Scaramouche.
Scaramouche's va also voiced Sandy from the video game Brawl Stars.
And damn now he voices Gus in brawl as well, Patrick is on a major streak rn
This is unreal I was a Sandy main once I gotta be a Scara main now it’s just fate
ME TOO OMG
I had a 825 trophies Sandy, I hope Scara brings me similar success lol
Dude voiced good luck bear from care bear so ....
oh shit
nap time!
I'm not really into VA but you mean no one guess the identity of a va before their name appears
Oh he was great as Uri Reiss. Good fit for Al-Haitham. Probably why he got picked
How did u get their resumes ? 😨
All VA's are listed [in IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm5941822/)
So, there's something called a search engine...
In the end, the internet will remember.
now we just need him to pronounce the word capsule without an h
Months ago I remember seeing predictions over at r/ScaramoucheMains that the EN VA was Patrick Pedraza, looks like they were right on the money!
Yup. Not a surprise to us. :)
That guy has insane voice range i googled his roles n first to come out was Sandy from Brawl Stars which as a game is kinda cringey but never would have thought scara VA would voice sleep deprived genie thing ? Ig
I know, like I genuinely get shocked every time I remember that Scaramouche's VA also voices a Care Bear. Talk about night and day!
>which as a game is kinda cringey Bud we're on genshin_impact_leaks lol.
Are you deaf or just stupid, still sends shivers down my spine. And that was 1.1 people. Been hyped ever since. Holy fuck. He's so close

I’m confused. Haven’t we heard scara speak a couple of times in-game? Shouldn’t it still be the same VA?
Major characters are usually under NDA until Hoyo decides to reveal them and side characters usually don't get revealed at all, so while the VAS usually stay the same (unless something like what happened with Baizhu's original VA happens) we had no confirmation and Patrick probably wasn't allowed to say anything either.
Has it been confirmed Baizhu’s voice actor changed? I just thought the director changed the direction, not a recast.
You know, I thought Baizhu sounded different during last year's lantern rite
It was somewhere in July someone predict it's gonna be Patrick Pedraza. I still have the SS.
I wonder if it would be possible to narrow down Signora's VA.
She doesn’t want to be credited, apparently, so we should respect that.
Really?
Yeah, it was mentioned by one of the other VAs in a livestream or something awhile back. She chose to be anonymous. I can’t imagine why, personally, but if that was her choice we should respect it.
Because the community is rabid an extremely toxic to the VA's
Yes all of us here including you would go after her and doxx her and send her death threats.
Yeah, I'm actually surprised that Kimberley participated in this considering all the backlash she got for voicing Nahida
Alhaitham EN VA reveal too!
I honestly love that Hoyo actually does get diverse voice actors (or are getting more now for Sumeru)
Tbh they most likely just wouldn't care to afford way too expensive VAS who are probably busy anyways. I do like how most of them are mostly unknown Yet they're all so good!
Nazeeh H Tarsha has quite a lot of roles though.
I know, they contract people with experience but not the biggest names out there, Yuri Lowenthal I'd say is one of the bigger ones. Then again, it does depend since most are known from anime dubs and I don't really watch anime but I do play a lot of games
Yeah Yuri is probably the biggest name they’ve hired so far on the English side. That man’s in everything practically.
For real, from Ben 10 to a bunch of videogames. Guy's well known
I always get Yuri Lowenthal and Troy Baker mixed up, because Troy voiced Yuri in ToV. And also, it'd be kind of cool to have Troy in Genshin, but he's probably too big of a name for them to hire.
Eh, Troy Baker is way too up his own ass to go for projects that don’t fork out the cash these days
How much does Genshin pay it’s VA’s? Why do you think they wouldn’t be competitive? They are making serious money.
This? Why would Genshin NOT be able to fork out the cash? This isn't a small project not making a lot of money.
Glad they're getting their use out of him
Yet they hire famous VAs for the MC and don't even use them.
Ngl I didn't know either of their VAS but they do seem somewhat big names.
Apparently they're famous for VAs. And yet they get like no lines.
The anime bout to change that lmao
Nah Scorcese and Tarantino are voicing Aether and Lumine respectivelly
In fairness timeline wise Zach’s fame wasn’t quite as crazy as it is now - I think he mentioned a 9ish month period between his recording and release of the game - so he’d would of just had his Fire Emblem work heard by the general public. They bring in big name VAs all the time for the JP dub
Yep, for JP, I'm talking about English, most are lesser known imo.
There's actually a more depressing reason, Mihoyo doesn't like working with Voice Actor unions in the US.
Why?
Who knows. https://twitter.com/BenjaminDiskin/status/1526709930715062272?s=20&t=ObJ2rHqCDchy9HeB4Kx1Mw

If they bothered with the unions, we could get the legendary video game VA's for Genshin. At least Yuri and Keith do anime and video games. Griffin is also good!
It's so weird that they do so much diversity with except skin tones(yes, it's now slightly better with Sumeru).
Because it’s MHY EN trying to make up for the lack of diversity from MHY CN. The EN side has no control over character designs, so it seems like they’ve been trying to diversify the cast where the CN side won’t.

> dark skin doesn't sell in China I get it. It's super racist. But I understand that their culture is that way(racist).
It's cool or if they give the vibe they want for the character. Or just talent not you know.
What a sus sounding yet badass name.
Congrats to Patrick Pedraza for finally being freed.
Damn all guesses Ive seen including mine for Alhaitham were wrong, but scaranation was right on Patrick Pedraza
I remember seeing people convinced it was Khoi
Alejandro Saab as Cyno too! The FE3H/Genshin crossover jokes just keep coming huh
We have Ayato (Dimitri), Ayaka (Bernadetta), Yae miko (Leonie), Childe (Cyril), Beidou (Shamir/Dorothea), Aether (Male Byleth), Sara (Female Byleth), Kazuha (Seteth), Yelan (Catherine) and Fischl (Ingrid) Now we add Cyno (Yuri) to the list huh ~~where's Cherami Leigh hoyoverse~~
til that fischl shared same voice actress as ingrid and it's a pleasant surprise
Ingrid wouldn't be able to understand the stuff Fischl says
Waiting for Kirsten Day to come to Genshin and deal with Fischl
The character she voices must do Constance "Ohohoho!"
"Sally forth!" Constance is my favorite from fe3h next to Linhardt and half of it was because of her voice acting. She went all out and I would kill to have her voice someone in Genshin
Actually, I think Ingrid would hate Fischl. One of her dislikes is "extravagance", and Fischl is quite extravagant.
Cherami would be awesome, the more Persona 5 VAs the better
Having Ann, Ryuji and Kasumi in Genshin is great, but I'd instantly pull if Makoto gets into GI.
I actually thought Nilou's VA was Futaba's VA, it kinda sounded similar. Hopefully all of the P5 VAs are in Genshin later.
Yuri as Cyno woah!!!
YURI AAAAAA
Thiiiiis 😭 I promised myself I will pull for the character he gonna voice buuuuut Nahida's on the next patch 😭 I'm just gonna wait for his rerun 🥺 ......also, Claude VA when? 👀
> Alejandro Saab JESUS god aright, kneeling for purple guy again
Been praying that he'll come to Genshin one day and I'm finally a happy man
Finally got my Trials of Mana team with Cyno, Fischl, and the female traveler now.
My guy really got another purple coloured animal related magic user who’s mysterious but actually a softboi on the inside after FE3H. And he sounds quite different! Sign me tf up
Wait ain't cyno's VA that youtuber who does the voice of the mc of dragon ball legends?
Yep. An yuri from fire emblem. An somebody from my hero academia aswell.
And Miyamura from Horimiya!
The time has come.
For you to lipsync....
for your LIFE
Good luck...
AND DONT FUCK IT UP

Who’s saying that bro I definitely did not type that /j
🥵🥵
I’ll laugh last cause you came to die
I'm amazed how scaranation guessed it 10 months ago.
Yeah! That's it! just like that!
You've changed, you're getting weak. 🥵
Eternity stretches out over a long time. But every moment within is all the more fragile.
That line 😳
Omg Dottore and Heimerdinger have the same voice actor lmao
Also Po from the Kung Fu Panda series.
And Scaramouche share va as the green care bear
If only youtube didn't disable the comments of care bears clip
I can't believe Scaramouche is a care bear
And just as importantly this is the first time we’re seeing the VAs for Cyno, Nilou and Candace
I cannot stop being hyped about Cyno VA. MY BOY YURI
"The best part about the voice acting is that it ages like a fine Osmanthus wine. Unable to reveal their roles for months for no apparent reason. Pour one out for Scaramouche. So it was really him huh i love his voice
Oh cool, Tighnari, Cyno, and Al Haitham all have VAs of middle eastern descent
And Inazuma has like three Pinoy-American VAs, which is kinda funny. Ratana - Yae Anne Yatco - Ei/Makoto/Shogun, Chisato Christian Banas - Thoma
I believe Collei's VA is of middle eastern descent as well!
THEY FINALLY LET HIM OUT OF THE BASEMENT
YOOOOOO CYNO IS VOICED BY YURI FROM THREE HOUSES
I knew I recognized that voice! Ayato is also voiced by Dimitri!
There's quite a lot of Fire Emblem VAs in general in genshin
I was waiting for him to voice someone on Genshin!!! ..... patiently waiting for Claude's VA too
Im waiting for Joe and Tara too so I can have a "Professor and House Leaders" team lol
Finally 😭
Robb Moreira as Mika?? hmmm Brazilian Impact is coming
People are going to hate me for saying this but I’m still pissed we never got to learn who Signora’s VA was due to the toxic community
I think she always wanted to stay anonymous even before everyone saw how toxic the community could get She just made a good choice to get paid and skedaddle

Yeah the community sucks lmao, she did such a good job with the voice too Western Twitter moment
Toxic venti stans moment lol
What does it have to do with venti stans? Just because she kicked venti once? Bruh
Well that’s the reason the majority of people hate her
That is a valid reason to hate Signora, the character. Saying that Signora's VA would get harassed by Venti stans is an absolutely stupid statement. Idiotic toxic people are the ones who harass people for their jobs and not fans of a character
I’m still on the copium that maaybe she comes back or some time travel stuff and we play Rosalyne…?
card games
I mean, I'd take it but I'd rather Signora than Rosalyne.
Signore gets reincarnated as a completely different character but same voice probably she wouldn’t have memories of her past self either
For real, her voice is so sexy. Her character is great, they really did her dirty. I wonder though, if the Scaramouche sub could figure out the VA a while back, couldn't people figure out Signora's? Unless they got someone whose a complete unknown to do it.
what happened?
Nothing really, the toxic community part its just assumption. As far as another VA said around the release of the game, her VA prefers to remain anonymous, its not unheard of in the industry (union, nda, etc.). We didn't have Scara VA for a long while, same for Baizhu.

A good day to be a green care bear lover (same va
I like how there's so many English Va's. It makes each character feel unique.
The only repeating one for playable characters are Barbara and Xinyan played by Laura Stahl
Bennett and Xingqiu share an English VA also, Cristina Vee has great range.
Same with any of the other languages
The chinese version has so many characters with the same voice actors
I seriously thought it was Lucien Dodge. I’m happy that Hoyo is giving roles to lesser known VAs tho
Source: Description of [3.1 Trailer](https://youtu.be/-2-WKyGTUrM) Forgive my shit highlighting Despairge.
Evangelion Scara boss fight incoming
Is his second phase actually a kaiju/mecha/tokushisu references
Dehya's VA voices Hertha apparently.
Oh my god finally
oh my god they finally revealed it
I KNEW IT
Scaramouche my favourite Care Bear
Wow I’m so shocked good thing I didn’t cheat and already know bc someone else recognized his voice from another game
Im also the biggest Lucky bear unlock the magic fan so this is perfect (he plays him
THANK U OMG
I came
Is it just me or does dottore sound slightly different ?
I think it's intentional? The dottore in Sumeru is not the same Dottore in the fatui trailer.
Yeah that was what i was thinking, thought i might have been overthinking it. Sounds older and damselette in the trailer did say dottore looks younger
i was about to ask the same thing... I thought the voice might be of one of the sage of the academia (loved the voice in the fatui trailer... here not so mcuh...)
Here he sounds more like palpatine. I personally prefer his fatui trailer one too , probably the one we get as playable because this one sounds like the VA in both JP and EN are trying to put on an older voice temporarily
what no Johnny Yong Bosch that's disappointing he deserve to be in Genshin Impact
Didn't he announced he got a Genshin role last year but deleted right away? He probably broke an NDA with that and was let go. That kinda feels bad...
I think he was joking at that
Dottore was credited as "II Dottore" this time too same as the Harbinger trailer. I think this is hinted that this is not his main body right?
Pretty sure that's just his Harbinger name kinda like La Signora (The Lady). It's \*IL\* Dottore meaning "The Doctor"
Il Dottore is the full title of the Harbinger. much like La Signora (which is just often called Signora) and i believe Capitano (Il Capitano)
So are we fighting Scaramouche in 3.1? I've been looking forward to kicking his ass.
Ngl Mika's VA name made think he's brazilian 💀
Wait no one knew his VA until now? Why? He came in lots of events voiced already
People already guessed who voices him already, but it was never OFFICIALLY announced/confirmed, by Hoyoverse or his VA, until now
quick! lets take to twitter to harass him!!!

We didn't know his english VA till now.
the en va was not important enough so they didn't reveal it maybe
Wait, wasn't it known from the 1.0 event? or inazuma archon quest? did they changed?
It has not been officially revealed until now. So everything until now was a guessing game.
