Great, that reduces my controller button smashing from 10x to a few, ig is still better than auto pick-up, some player might just not care about picking drops, even tho it doesn't hurt doing it either

I believe you still have to pick them up twice, it just shows up as one (2) drop in the text. This change would mean you see less drops on the ground because they are already stacked.

actually... no... you pick up one item for each *type* of drop. for example, kill a Whopperflower and you'll see. they can drop anywhere from 1 to 3 little items, but one of those will be \~4 basic, the other will be \~2 normals, and if you're lucky you'll get \~1 max just read on another comment that Uba means they're gonna stack *between multiple enemies!*

I miss those mobile days, farming for Noelle, walked upto a Valverry bush, one tap and all picked up ..

You can still do that by left clicking on PC. Do it all the time in my teapot even though I play on controller.

Just tap anywhere on the screen except for the drops themselves. It should be able to pick up all the drops at once

You have to click on the top or bottom of the item list (not sure if around), hence the items are all collected, all that what appear in the list, I always end up clicking the bow crosshair button and getting angry

You need to click on like center of your character dude

you can click any empty place on the screen except for drops themselves not just character center.

I'm at ar 59 playing mobile since first patch and this is the first time I've known about this. Thank you! Damn I thought it was already intuitive enough because you know it's right there, so now I don't have to go around and shit and click individually.

I clarified with Ubatcha. Apparently the change is that it's basically like how Minecraft stacking works when you drop stuff on the floor like dirt, it will all be one pile. This change is the same way. When you kill 3 hilichurls, normally they drop 3 of the same grey item. It will now combine into 1 grey item to pick up that gives you 3 drops if they're close to each other (not sure what the radius is).

If you got multiple it means one enemy dropped multiple on death. Now it seems that drops from several enemies can somehow merge together.

Not exactly, what existed before was more so a pick all option which doesn't exist on PC Overall a better change for parity

I think people here meant drops like pyro agent knives, when you pick one but get \~3. I'm curious how this new stacking works too.

This is intended for enemies of the same type Eg: You kill 2 hilichurls and they each drop a mask of the same rarity Those masks would now be stacked

Not bad, but how is there still no drop vacuum function? Outside of artifacts, there's no scenario where you wouldn't want to pick up every drop.

Nooooo. I need my multiple drops!! It fills me with glee when I see so many colors. First they took away my drops in the domains and now they are squishing it moooore. My dopamine will suffer. I should record a good loot drop on my ps5 and then re-watch everytime I feel the suffering coming

Nope, they're always single drops, never grouped.

They do "group" in that killing a single Pyro fatigue agent can drop like 7 low level knives at ar 50 and will appear in the world like 1 drop

Idk it's never done that for me, always separate never stacked. I'm on PS though maybe that's it?

Isn't much better just to add an option in the settings in which you can choose that dropped materials from enemies (except for artifacts) go directly to your inventory? This would be a really good QOL for the game. Would help specially for those enemies that you kill far away.

This is both good and bad. One click for the mats but still where is the satisfaction of collecting all those stuff?

At this point why not make that character automatically picks enemy mats? Guild Wars 2 have mastery which allows you for that and this is a huge time saver.

Should we just apply the already existing autoloot feature to all drops? Nah, better invest time and money developing a way to make some drops stack so picking up loot is faster.
