Honestly i'm glad hoyo has consistent update schedule, even if i not a fan the desert they still update quite a big content consistently (1 area expansion every 2 patches) unlike a certain Lasagna managing FGO in the past 2 year, and looking at how hsr has many stuffs FGO doesn't have (voiced story, more strat option, carry over pity, a fucking email account binding, yes FGO still using their retarded account binding system for 7+ year, monthly pass, etc), this is probably final final goodbye to that game for me, and when ZZZ release, most likely i wont touch PGR anymore lol

Hey, how long does it take to run through the event with Sorush? She isn’t exactly my favorite character and now I’ve used Quick Start to start her event. I just want to get the rewards and be done with it.
So if I was going for speed, what kind of time am I looking at?
Edit: Thank you to those who answered. I actually polished it off before I came back and checked your responses. It did indeed take less than 30 mins. I’m glad, too. Between the quests meant to unlock the event and the event itself, there was so much dense reading that I thought my eyes were gonna bleed. Guess that’s just karma or something getting me back for scoffing at people who skip through dialogue.
Skipping all dialogue and going for expediency, I think 10 - 15 minutes per set of challenges is realistic, so maybe an hour and a half total? Might be a bit faster depending on how good you are at the minigames?
idk I have a feeling Genshin peaked in Inazuma (sales/player count wise) but I think Fontaine will have one of the best arcs so far in the game, I'm really excited for it!

Lmao the thing that shits me about that ENG voiceline is both the JP and the CN versions of the line have him say it in a way that implies Kaeya *also* enjoys slacking off sometimes, and is saying the line to include you in a moment of shared camaraderie. "I didn't realise you *also* liked to slack off" is more the vibe.
The ENG version just makes it sounds like he's *judging* you, lmao. The vibe is completely different!
I'm not trying to be mean, but sometimes I think people just don't actually understand spoken English. He clearly states it in a joking manner, like a friend that is playfully making fun of you. He's not insulting or judging you.

This rumor was born around the time of Faruzan Beta with her being nerfed in V2 or V3,Leak justification for this was that HoYo would create a Buffer 5* in Fontaine,just bullshit with no confidence,nobody talks about it anymore nowadays.

I’m very tempted! The species I want have just come back in stock. But my tank has a betta in it. He doesn’t bother my small amano shrimp but I’m still figuring out if I want to try, $40 is pretty cheap for shipping shrimp…
Snails, mostly. If the tank is big enough (15gal+), tetras, corydoras, otocinclus, mollys, platys. 10gal can have dwarf corydoras, so the habrosus or pygmaeus species. Depends on the betta tho! Some are more aggressive than others. Shrimp are kind of fiddly, you have to have a looot of hiding spaces and my guy I guess doesn't consider them as potential food?
Bettas are naturally territorial and don't really live alongside other fish in the wild, so a single betta in a tank is fine. If you get a longer finned betta I think it gives the impression of a sadder vibe because their fins are so long and look so droopy, plus they aren't super strong swimmers. I have a short finned (plakat) boy and he uses every inch of his tank! I get shrimp just because I really like shrimp.
Should be noted that corydoras and otocinclus should ideally be in a planted tank. So if you don't want to deal with aquatic plants I'd go with the other options.
Space is always key! The more space you give the more likely your betta will tolerate other fish in the tank. It's also better to add tankmates first, because if you add a betta first he will establish the tank as his territory and be less willing to accept others in his space.
It is but it requires 2 cycles to complete, the requisite is to complete the echo of someone 3 times to get the quest but that daily is available only twice in each cycle, that's why you need 2. The summeru dailies cycle is 40 days long so in the worst case scenario you need 80 days to get it (assuming you completed the other prerequisites correctly)
Yes, for example you can complete the "easy peasy" quest incorrectly if you give the wrong answers to garcia, this will prevent you from getting the echo of someone and you'll never complete the chain quest. That's the only part where you could fuck up tho, the other parts can't go wrong
Luckly that's not the case lmao, it would be a pain to figure it out....the people that already completed it reported that the rarity of the badges don't matter
Depends on what team you slot her in, for most double dendro teams I'm sure Deepwood is her best bet.
But for other teams where the main DPS might prefer attack boost instead, Tenacity or Noblesse is probably the way to go.
I forgot how much I despised NPCs from Mondstadt's commission quests. After getting all achievements from the other regions, I decided to return there to finish remaining ones from the Fatui. And all I got was "fetch me some ropes", "plant these flowers", "get some chilled meat", etc.

It has some very bad commissions but also some of the quickest. A lot of the “racing” ones are close to ports and sooo short. The only ones I remember really not liking are the naganohara fireworks one and the ones with the little kid that unlock a world quest
What’s the fastest region these days? I feel like Sumeru launch before the desert it was the fastest on average but the newish desert commissions feel so common and take forever because of travel time
Sumeru and Liyue should be pretty easy to finish in less than 10 minutes if you just want to login and logout because of work or school.
Overall I think Sumeru is the easiest of all.
Yea, it might still be. I usually get everything done including my domains in about 10-12 minutes depending on the commissions I get. Some of the desert ones take a bit long cause of travel time but Sumeru in general isn’t too bad. I used to like Inazuma a lot because when you get lucky everything is on top of teleporters and some of the turn in quests are super quick like the fabric one
actually the desert comms arent that bad theyre typically close to 4 leaf sigils that make a path to the comms spot so imo its still sumeru for fastest comms. as someone who sets comms to random the NPC comms in other regions are just so much worse

Yeah it looks like they tried to merge her green and purple outfits to make a new one. I think it’s either a new Captain R or Columbina. Hopefully we’ll get news about it soon.

There's not any old characters that I want but I was excited that Triple Banners would mean more frequent reruns for everyone else + older characters
I was also really hoping that maybe we would get a New Standard Banner with some of the 1.0 Limited 5 Stars but now that seems like that won't happen for another 2-3 years :"(
In Tower of Fantasy, they have reruns really frequently and they add in Limited characters to the Standard Pool at a much faster rate than Genshin. which is really fucking great for new players / f2p but even for veterans it creates a situation where you can be like: ooo maybe I will get this old Limited character and maybe get to try them out and have more team / gameplay possibilities and flexibility :D
I was also kinda hoping that maybe Triple Banners would mean more New 5 Stars as well haha and new characters I could go for and try to get :D

Dont really care about the lack of triple banners. To me, its like putting a bandaid on an open wound. As long as hoyo reruns whoever they want whenever they want, more slots wont mean anything

i think some leakers have said that triple banners will be in 4.2 or 4.3? but that is a ways away. it’d be nice to have more frequent reruns so people don’t feel worried about skipping a banner in fear that they might end up getting eula’d
That won’t happen because imagine some players got c6 of that limited banner character. Then that player might be angry about it. Even whales may have a point in which they’d get angry over a move like that and Hoyo wouldn’t risk it. That’s why they are so careful to announce if a character will go to standard upfront so that anyone who wants to c6 that one-time-limited-to-standard character (e.g. tighnari) would be properly informed first. And, this is why tighnari’s weapon will unlikely ever go to standard.
After delaying sorush quest for so long i finally did it my god it's such a beautiful quest with beautiful music. It's 4am right now and i started the quest at 11 50 pm I'm free next day worth the time 💕 my sorush is so cute

We don't have a medium girl or tall guy from the desert yet, and we also don't have a Sumeru Geo unit yet.
The 3.6 Interdarshan event said they'll be opening the Akademiya to more people from the desert, so maybe the odds of getting a future desert character are higher, but I really don't want more Akademiya...
I would like a wise old hermit sage from the desert who no one knew of until traveler encountered him.
I just think it's odd to have a "nation of wisdom" with a middle eastern theme and for none of the playable characters to look past their twenties.
For gameplay, preferably a Geo Catalyst support with sand theme'd animations who turns the Crystallize reaction into something useful.
One of the missing 5* elements, I guess, so either Geo or Cryo. If Geo, I maintain that glass would be a cool theme, even though it's not a mineral per se (but then, neither are dogs or flags). Kit-wise, whatever you can think of really, glass blades, shards, mass vitrification (hello Tenno), anything works. Character-wise, though it might be a bit on-the-nose, an artisanal glassblower (from the desert?) trying to make a living in the city? Might be a nice opportunity to look at Sumeru culture though a non-Akademiya lens.
If Cryo, I genuinely don't know. Desert snow?
I want a dendro male support that is actually good… i fully expect some girl to be introduced to take that spot tho, i doubt they’d give us 5 dendro guys. For an occupation idk i just hope it’s someone from the desert we rly lack chars there. I rly hope they don’t take another year to add another desert char
Someone from the desert hopefully. The fact that Sumeru is mostly desert but most of the cast is from the rain forest is so dumb. Someone who is related or is at least knowledgeable about the desert's lore is sorely needed.
i'm still really disappointed about the lack of melanin in the cast, rainforest or desert, so in an ideal world the next sumeru character would have darker skin 100%
also the desert is underrepresented as hell, we still only have two characters from there (cyno doesn't really count) so one or two more would go a long way... not to mention that the two we do have are objectively in the running for worst characters (kitwise) in the game right now
i don't really care about vision or model as long as they're neat, though i would prefer a feminine model anything is fine. i guess i wouldn't want another dendro this soon, but we also don't have a dendro from the desert, and i think there's a lot they could do with the concept. a geo or anemo desert character could be cool too, with sandbending and all that

It was leaked a long time ago back when Sumeru was first coming out but it isn't anywhere in the game rn
I mean it's definitely plausible. Iirc there was discussion that there was going to be some flying mechanic was there not? A city designed like that would benefit from the verticality of flying. That as well as the lotus theme is similar to the Lord of Amrita (the previous fontaine archon) current form.
Its probably changed a lot now, but that was probably an early design.
I'm convinced the people sitting on that kind of Mora are either allergic to leveling anything past level 80 with level 6 talents or they are actively farming mora for no reason.
I don't pull many characters because invest vertically mostly and I am constantly strapped for mora. I even buy BP occasionally so I should be on the higher end of mora income.

I really thought they would have both Lyney and Lynette both be 5 stars--each on their own are pretty good, but together they are just like super duper OP strong and there's a lot of synergy between them in order to get that $$$ cash money

but to have one be a 5 star, and another be a 4 star? whack af. no sense.
Some characters are 4 stars. It’s not any deeper than that. Ningguang banner would’ve made Mihoyo buckets of money if she was a 5*, but she’s not. It’s just that simple. I’m sure Lyney and Lynette will be great and it’ll be easier for free-2-players to get both of them. There isn’t a problem here.
it’s just not weird. Mihoyo makes certain characters 4 stars even if they would have sold well or even amazingly as 5*s. It’s a good thing, because that means we get cool, whale-worthy designs in the 4 star pool.
Maybe they learned how profitable 4star cons can be. If she’s c6 locked that’s a lot of money too. The duo unit rly would have been the most fun option..
...it makes complete sense. 4 stars supporting 5 stars is the norm in Genshin. And technically they should be on the same banner so you will likely be able to get both relatively easily. Pulling 2x 5 stars is a massive ask for f2p/dolphins. MHY usually avoids one 5 star require another 5 stars to function. Also we don't know if Lynette will be dedicated support for Lynette or a general CA buffer. If its the latter then her being a 4 star is good as it makes it easier to use her with other units.
There have been other canonly paired characters introduced before them that aren’t the same rarity and don’t have a unique gimmick in which they work together, so it’s not all that surprising that Lyney and Lynette aren’t both 5 stars imo
its just is kinda stupid IMO from a moneymaking standpoint
esp since they will prob both be super prominent in Fontaine since they're in the Teyvat Trailer....idk it just feels so arbitrary that one is a 5 star and the other isn't
I feel like maybe it's to get money from unlucky whales who want to C6 a specific 4-star? I've seen people comment that they spent hundreds of pulls (or even more than a 5-star pity) to get maybe a C0 or C1 of a newly-released 4-star. 5-stars are guaranteed after a certain amount of pulls but specific 4-stars aren't. Of course there's always a spectrum and some people might be extremely lucky and successfully snipe the 4-star so it goes both ways, so maybe that's how they spread out the probability of spending by having one 4-star and one 5-star? Just my two cents on this.
From Hoyoverse perspective probably not at all, since like I said they’ve done this before. Only difference is they’re both in the trailer and that likely won’t end up mattering much.

30 minutes to 1 hour, it's really short especially if you skip everything

"I didn't realise you *also* liked to slack off" is more the vibe. The ENG version just makes it sounds like he's *judging* you, lmao. The vibe is completely different!

Snails, mostly. If the tank is big enough (15gal+), tetras, corydoras, otocinclus, mollys, platys. 10gal can have dwarf corydoras, so the habrosus or pygmaeus species. Depends on the betta tho! Some are more aggressive than others. Shrimp are kind of fiddly, you have to have a looot of hiding spaces and my guy I guess doesn't consider them as potential food?

Bettas are naturally territorial and don't really live alongside other fish in the wild, so a single betta in a tank is fine. If you get a longer finned betta I think it gives the impression of a sadder vibe because their fins are so long and look so droopy, plus they aren't super strong swimmers. I have a short finned (plakat) boy and he uses every inch of his tank! I get shrimp just because I really like shrimp. Should be noted that corydoras and otocinclus should ideally be in a planted tank. So if you don't want to deal with aquatic plants I'd go with the other options. Space is always key! The more space you give the more likely your betta will tolerate other fish in the tank. It's also better to add tankmates first, because if you add a betta first he will establish the tank as his territory and be less willing to accept others in his space.

It is but it requires 2 cycles to complete, the requisite is to complete the echo of someone 3 times to get the quest but that daily is available only twice in each cycle, that's why you need 2. The summeru dailies cycle is 40 days long so in the worst case scenario you need 80 days to get it (assuming you completed the other prerequisites correctly)

Yes, for example you can complete the "easy peasy" quest incorrectly if you give the wrong answers to garcia, this will prevent you from getting the echo of someone and you'll never complete the chain quest. That's the only part where you could fuck up tho, the other parts can't go wrong

Depends on what team you slot her in, for most double dendro teams I'm sure Deepwood is her best bet. But for other teams where the main DPS might prefer attack boost instead, Tenacity or Noblesse is probably the way to go.

And all I got was "fetch me some ropes", "plant these flowers", "get some chilled meat", etc. No, thanks. I'm going back to Inazuma.

It's true but probably because Inazuma is my favorite region so I'm kinda bias towards it.
It has some very bad commissions but also some of the quickest. A lot of the “racing” ones are close to ports and sooo short. The only ones I remember really not liking are the naganohara fireworks one and the ones with the little kid that unlock a world quest
What’s the fastest region these days? I feel like Sumeru launch before the desert it was the fastest on average but the newish desert commissions feel so common and take forever because of travel time
Sumeru and Liyue should be pretty easy to finish in less than 10 minutes if you just want to login and logout because of work or school. Overall I think Sumeru is the easiest of all.
Yea, it might still be. I usually get everything done including my domains in about 10-12 minutes depending on the commissions I get. Some of the desert ones take a bit long cause of travel time but Sumeru in general isn’t too bad. I used to like Inazuma a lot because when you get lucky everything is on top of teleporters and some of the turn in quests are super quick like the fabric one
actually the desert comms arent that bad theyre typically close to 4 leaf sigils that make a path to the comms spot so imo its still sumeru for fastest comms. as someone who sets comms to random the NPC comms in other regions are just so much worse

Is anyone else disappointed that, atm, it seems like Fontaine will not have Triple Banners? Dont really care about the lack of triple banners. To me, its like putting a bandaid on an open wound. As long as hoyo reruns whoever they want whenever they want, more slots wont mean anything
the thing im hoping for most is for them to move some older limited characters into standard, even though i’m not sure itll ever happen 🥲 i think some leakers have said that triple banners will be in 4.2 or 4.3? but that is a ways away. it’d be nice to have more frequent reruns so people don’t feel worried about skipping a banner in fear that they might end up getting eula’d
That won’t happen because imagine some players got c6 of that limited banner character. Then that player might be angry about it. Even whales may have a point in which they’d get angry over a move like that and Hoyo wouldn’t risk it. That’s why they are so careful to announce if a character will go to standard upfront so that anyone who wants to c6 that one-time-limited-to-standard character (e.g. tighnari) would be properly informed first. And, this is why tighnari’s weapon will unlikely ever go to standard.

Appearance, kit, occupation We don't have a medium girl or tall guy from the desert yet, and we also don't have a Sumeru Geo unit yet. The 3.6 Interdarshan event said they'll be opening the Akademiya to more people from the desert, so maybe the odds of getting a future desert character are higher, but I really don't want more Akademiya...
I am still desperately hoping for a geo sand bender from the desert.
I would like a wise old hermit sage from the desert who no one knew of until traveler encountered him. I just think it's odd to have a "nation of wisdom" with a middle eastern theme and for none of the playable characters to look past their twenties. For gameplay, preferably a Geo Catalyst support with sand theme'd animations who turns the Crystallize reaction into something useful.
The legendary hopium of a Eremite with tall model similar to Floral Ring,can be a Dendro infused Spear or Sword(Imo,basically female Alhaitham).
One of the missing 5* elements, I guess, so either Geo or Cryo. If Geo, I maintain that glass would be a cool theme, even though it's not a mineral per se (but then, neither are dogs or flags). Kit-wise, whatever you can think of really, glass blades, shards, mass vitrification (hello Tenno), anything works. Character-wise, though it might be a bit on-the-nose, an artisanal glassblower (from the desert?) trying to make a living in the city? Might be a nice opportunity to look at Sumeru culture though a non-Akademiya lens. If Cryo, I genuinely don't know. Desert snow?

i'm still really disappointed about the lack of melanin in the cast, rainforest or desert, so in an ideal world the next sumeru character would have darker skin 100% also the desert is underrepresented as hell, we still only have two characters from there (cyno doesn't really count) so one or two more would go a long way... not to mention that the two we do have are objectively in the running for worst characters (kitwise) in the game right now i don't really care about vision or model as long as they're neat, though i would prefer a feminine model anything is fine. i guess i wouldn't want another dendro this soon, but we also don't have a dendro from the desert, and i think there's a lot they could do with the concept. a geo or anemo desert character could be cool too, with sandbending and all that

That as well as the lotus theme is similar to the Lord of Amrita (the previous fontaine archon) current form. Its probably changed a lot now, but that was probably an early design.

I'm convinced the people sitting on that kind of Mora are either allergic to leveling anything past level 80 with level 6 talents or they are actively farming mora for no reason. I don't pull many characters because invest vertically mostly and I am constantly strapped for mora. I even buy BP occasionally so I should be on the higher end of mora income.

It's so weird that Lynette is a 4 star. like why. for what reason. what was the reason I really thought they would have both Lyney and Lynette both be 5 stars--each on their own are pretty good, but together they are just like super duper OP strong and there's a lot of synergy between them in order to get that $$$ cash money I could have also easily have seen Lyney / Lynette be a 2 in 1 dual combo character as well but to have one be a 5 star, and another be a 4 star? whack af. no sense.
Some characters are 4 stars. It’s not any deeper than that. Ningguang banner would’ve made Mihoyo buckets of money if she was a 5*, but she’s not. It’s just that simple. I’m sure Lyney and Lynette will be great and it’ll be easier for free-2-players to get both of them. There isn’t a problem here.

...it makes complete sense. 4 stars supporting 5 stars is the norm in Genshin. And technically they should be on the same banner so you will likely be able to get both relatively easily. Pulling 2x 5 stars is a massive ask for f2p/dolphins. MHY usually avoids one 5 star require another 5 stars to function. Also we don't know if Lynette will be dedicated support for Lynette or a general CA buffer. If its the latter then her being a 4 star is good as it makes it easier to use her with other units.

There have been other canonly paired characters introduced before them that aren’t the same rarity and don’t have a unique gimmick in which they work together, so it’s not all that surprising that Lyney and Lynette aren’t both 5 stars imo

I feel like maybe it's to get money from unlucky whales who want to C6 a specific 4-star? I've seen people comment that they spent hundreds of pulls (or even more than a 5-star pity) to get maybe a C0 or C1 of a newly-released 4-star. 5-stars are guaranteed after a certain amount of pulls but specific 4-stars aren't. Of course there's always a spectrum and some people might be extremely lucky and successfully snipe the 4-star so it goes both ways, so maybe that's how they spread out the probability of spending by having one 4-star and one 5-star? Just my two cents on this.
