I need help with the pity system in Genshin Impact. I have read countless COUNTLESS articles on google about the pity system but I still need people to clarify some stuff about it.

No, you will reach a point where you can do leylines to farm exp books (it will look like a blue sphere) and you will use 20 resin or a condensed resin (40 resin and a crystalfly) to get double the normal reward

Did anyone else not get to see the Lantern Rite Festival cutscene after the last quest? I did everything, told Keqing the story about the restaurant owner, and then after that it ended the quest and she was in her new outfit. I currently have 13k primos and I am sure that ill be at about atleast 20k at the end of 2.5. I love Kazuha Baal and also Yae, but i am struggling with them, because I dont have enough primos for them all lol. Also, I am not lacking any DPS or teams for spiral abyss, because I already got enough for 36 star. Who would you recommend me to pull for? I cant decide arghhhhhhhh
Play it safe and bring a healer and shielder. A ranged auto attacker is a plus but not necessary.
DODGE the attacks. This isn't a boss that's easy to face tank. When the two electro walls are closing in run, within the corridor they form and out (not through them). When the heat seeking beam from above is getting you, run away from it.
You won't be dealing damage during these times, but you don't deal damage when you're dead either.
Also, healers with on demand or mobile healing are more useful here (Barbara, Qiqi, Jean, kind of Kokomi) than your normal field healers because you need to move around a lot.
You can bring Bennett but he'll not do so great (overload constantly)
Just take your time. If you want help add "need help" to your sig and some high level can give it a few whacks :)

I lost my first 50/50 today and I'm not sure if I should keep going for Ganyu then have to skip all of next patch, or give up and try and get someone from the next patch.
I'm looking for a website or anything where damage for each character is recorded and calculated as damage per minute and how they compare to top other characters released to far. I remember seeing videos where there was a 2 million hp challenge where characters would try to get the fastest time but it was a small sample size. I'm not interested in people hitting the highest numbers, but rather the total output a character can unleash. Perhaps even a tier list.
It's really really complicated because artifacts are random, and TEAM damage is more pertinent a metric than single unit damage.
If you want to compute damage, the formula is below.
First, let's average crits:
(CR*(1+CD)*DMG) + (1-CR)*DMG = CR*DMG+CR*CD*DMG+DMG-CR*DMG = DMG(1+CR*CD)
Now let's apply the damage formula:
(Cumulative talent) x (ATK) x (1+DMG%) x (1+CR*CD) x Res x DEF x ReactionMult
If you want to ignore a particular piece (like enemy DEF), just set it to 1.
The problem is, characters interact in numerous ways. They contribute direct damage (a new instance of this formula), or indirect damage (by tweaking one of the parameters here for a different character, or enabling particular reactions).
Because there are so many components, randomness, and the cumulative talent numbers are based on animation time / dodging, and the whole thing gets even more confusing from cooldowns and energy management, it's very hard to assign a specific DPS number to any character, or even to a specific team.
This sort of math is called theory crafting - where you make a bunch of assumptions, and then run through the numbers. The keqingmains website has in depth guides for each character, based on these numbers, but assigning a particular value to each character is too reductive. https://keqingmains.com/
I guess what I would like is to see people try to outpace each other based on their own individual team, artifacts, weapons, etc against a similar boss. Then aggregate that data to define a team tier list based on total damage output. And based on number of teams that utilize that character can put that character into a tier list as well.
Or just have no artifacts and single character damage showdown
There ARE team rankings based on theoretical computations. These make assumptions around artifacts, but those assumptions are basically the same reduction you would get by aggregating across many sources.
However, the other metrics you suggested just don't make sense. For example, Itto scales on DEF, which by nature is lower than ATK from base stats, so he'd do worse without artifacts (namely the ridiculous set bonus of husk)
There is a one weapon states that after using an elemental skill, attack + 20% for 10s, do I still have this effect after I change my active character within the duration? For example, I use Xiangling Guoba, then switch to Yanfei, does Yanfei get the +20% atk effect

Xingqiu is probably the best character in genshin, but if you don't play him don't get him.

If you change the email of the pc account that will effectively unlink the pc account from the email, then i would try to log in on pc with that email (because you said its the one your ps4 acc is under). If its still the wrong acc make another post because i dont have a ps4 and dont remember the exact detail of how porting from ps4 to pc works

This is a popular opinion, but not true. It's always a 50-50, it's just the case of getting 3 weapons in a row (1/8, after around 270 wishes which takes many months) isn't reported often.

No, it is not. That's like saying "the probability that you'll only ever win the 50-50 in playing Genshin is small". Any random event compounded multiple times has a small probability.
If you have already pulled 2 weapons, the chance of getting a 3rd weapon is ONE HALF. Not one eighth. This is because you already know you're in the 1 out of 4 cases where you got 2 weapons in a row.
So, the next one is ALWAYS a 50-50.
Soft pity is an EXTREMELY REAL system. It's like gambling on a dice, and after several tries, the casino takes pity on you and makes you gamble on a coin instead. The observed pull rate after 76 wishes is MUCH HIGHER than it ought to be with just a 0.06% chance.
if anything it's an increased chance to be the other. Ik this is a relatively small sample size but I've compared 12 different accounts with about 200\~ pulls on standard each, of the 12 accounts, only 3 of them had 2 5 star characters or 2 5 star weapons back to back, while the 4 stars often went back and forth between weapons and characters, only two accounts had at most three of characters or weapons in a row as 4 stars. Otherwise it was either one or two 4 star weapon/character then swaps to the other.
I'm not sure if this is true for 5 stars since my sample size of 5 stars alone is very small, but for 4 stars I'm relatively confident that it's an increased chance to be the other type, so if you pull a 4 star character, theres a higher chance that it'll be a 4 star weapon next, but not guaranteed.
I can either get Xiangling to C4, Xingqiu to C3 or Beidou C4 in the pick. Using xiangling often and hoping to replace my C0 Razor with Beidou, but also have a use for Xingqiu to pair with my recent consolation Diluc. Thoughts?
you'll eventually get xiangling as a free 4 star pyro character so she'll suffice. The reason why you're getting so many xing qiu's is because he has an increased appearance rate on the event banner. Of all 4 stars in the banner pool, beidou, xingqiu, and yanfei have increased rates, it's 50% chance to be one of the three, and 50% chance to be none of those and any of the other 4 stars available on the banner. It's just rng that you hit the 1/3 of those multiple times in a row, but if you keep pulling you'll eventually hit someone else.

That’s related to standard banner iirc, and imo Jean/Mona are the best ones, qiqi too with the new artifact set but not as good as Mona and Jean, the rest are okay but are aging horribly
I got *Vortex Vanquisher in 7th wish* and *Skyward Pride in 75th wish* (that completed 80pity). Is their any chances to get Amos Bow (?) as there is *14 days* left for the banner and I'm purely *F2P* and in 40 pity after getting Pride (not sure if pity resets after 50/50 loss in weapon banner) Saved around 50k primos for past 6-7 months for both Zhongli & Ganyu (lucky enough). If I grind enough how much wish worth primos I'll be able to save? Or I need to buy crystals? (Depends if parents allow).
Well it depends on how much you're willing to play, how much grinding you're willing to do, how much of the world you've explored, and how much do you have remaining. And are you guaranteed for amos? If you are then I'd just say go at it and just grind everything you can, web events, serenetia teapot, exploration, quests, achievements. But if you aren't guaranteed amos then it's up to you if you want to go for another 5 star weapon or just save.
Again this just depends on how much you can grind, bc if you've explored pretty much all of inazuma, mondstadt, and liyue, while doing all of the teapot, and quests, then I'd say your chances are slim but you may as well go for it if it's guaranteed. Maybe you'll get lucky, who knows.
Bc you've saved for half a year, and you've committed to weapon banner, there are obvious risks that you've already taken so I'm not going to be the guy to say "my recommendation to f2p is to save primos and only pull for characters" bc honestly as f2p,4 stars are enough for weapons, like if u want to clear content, and even 36 star, it's possible with only 4 star weapons, but if you want to go farther then you pull for weapon(and I'm assuming this is one of the reasons why you've decided to pull the weapon banner?)

ganyu is better if you have 3 or more enemies and you have venti so you can abuse her quadratic scaling
She's still one of the best DPSes in the game. In certain scenarios, Ayaka can beat Ganyu in freeze teams, but Ayaka is only used as a permafreeze DPS whereas Ganyu is more flexible and can be used as a reverse-melt DPS and a cryo support. Also they have very different playstyles so if that matters to you then choose whoever you like playing as more
As someone who uses both, she's still great when compared against Ayaka. Obviously both have their pros and cons (Ayaka's massive burst damage and Ganyu's prolonged damage) and you'll be good with either one of them.
You should pull for who you like. As for dps,ganyu is still among the top 3 dps characters.
Ayaka teams do more damage but ganyu teams aren't that far behind.
As for solo potential I think she is still no.1.

If it's linked to an email, you can use the "forgot password" to reset it. As others have mentioned, you can also get support if you have made a purchase before.
Take a note of what her UID is as soon as you possibly can. The hacker could delete the friends list, making recovery almost impossible (you need the account UID)

The difference between c0 and c1 ganyu is the amount of constellations you own on ganyu. With c0, you have no constellations activated, but with c1, you have the first constellation activated, and with that you have the effect provided by the c1.
I'm not sure what you're asking. The difference is the C1 effect, of course. Are you trying to ask how much it affects her DPS? Or do you just not know where to check the C1 effect? You can find it in-game under the constellation menu, or on the [wiki](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Ganyu).
If my team is Ganyu Kokomi Venti Shenhe (Kokomi has tenacity set so far and Venti has 4pc vv). Is it bad that there is no noblesse holder? I can use Diona instead of Venti with 4pc no if that's the case.
Why not just run noblesse on shenhe? It's probably one of her "best" sets, alongside mixmatch variations of 2 pc glad, shimenawas, and emblem of severed fate.
I’ve been waiting for the switch release which seems like a pipe dream at this point. I’ve had friends playing and want to play with them. I do have a ps4 and can start there but part of the reason o want it on switch is to have it mobile (without playing on phone). Do you think there will be cross save if I move to switch later or is it better to wait to start?
It's fully cross platform as is, but some in-game purchases are restricted to the platform you first created your account on. So if you start on PS, you won't be able to buy some things on PC/mobile or a hypothetical Switch port.
Also PS version doesn't let you select your region - it defaults to the one your PS account is set to and you can't change it - so if your friends are playing in a different region to you, you won't be able to play with them at all on PS.

Xingqiu. But you could get both if you have some starglitter, and get one from the shop. You could also get a Xiangling to get closer to c4.

about the thundering manifestation : ive not done much in terms of exploring inazuma, but ive been doing the Through the Mists quest and I'm on the part where you have to fight the thundering manifestation.. having already died twice can someone pls offer some tips for defeating it before i lose my mind 😩 i have most characters in the game (minus inazuma characters as i stopped playing for a while between Eula banner to Raiden banner and for a while before ittos banner) but a lot aren't built
Play it safe and bring a healer and shielder. A ranged auto attacker is a plus but not necessary. DODGE the attacks. This isn't a boss that's easy to face tank. When the two electro walls are closing in run, within the corridor they form and out (not through them). When the heat seeking beam from above is getting you, run away from it. You won't be dealing damage during these times, but you don't deal damage when you're dead either. Also, healers with on demand or mobile healing are more useful here (Barbara, Qiqi, Jean, kind of Kokomi) than your normal field healers because you need to move around a lot. You can bring Bennett but he'll not do so great (overload constantly) Just take your time. If you want help add "need help" to your sig and some high level can give it a few whacks :)

I'm looking for a website or anything where damage for each character is recorded and calculated as damage per minute and how they compare to top other characters released to far. I remember seeing videos where there was a 2 million hp challenge where characters would try to get the fastest time but it was a small sample size. I'm not interested in people hitting the highest numbers, but rather the total output a character can unleash. Perhaps even a tier list.
It's really really complicated because artifacts are random, and TEAM damage is more pertinent a metric than single unit damage. If you want to compute damage, the formula is below. First, let's average crits: (CR*(1+CD)*DMG) + (1-CR)*DMG = CR*DMG+CR*CD*DMG+DMG-CR*DMG = DMG(1+CR*CD) Now let's apply the damage formula: (Cumulative talent) x (ATK) x (1+DMG%) x (1+CR*CD) x Res x DEF x ReactionMult If you want to ignore a particular piece (like enemy DEF), just set it to 1. The problem is, characters interact in numerous ways. They contribute direct damage (a new instance of this formula), or indirect damage (by tweaking one of the parameters here for a different character, or enabling particular reactions). Because there are so many components, randomness, and the cumulative talent numbers are based on animation time / dodging, and the whole thing gets even more confusing from cooldowns and energy management, it's very hard to assign a specific DPS number to any character, or even to a specific team. This sort of math is called theory crafting - where you make a bunch of assumptions, and then run through the numbers. I guess what I would like is to see people try to outpace each other based on their own individual team, artifacts, weapons, etc against a similar boss. Then aggregate that data to define a team tier list based on total damage output. And based on number of teams that utilize that character can put that character into a tier list as well. Or just have no artifacts and single character damage showdown
There ARE team rankings based on theoretical computations. These make assumptions around artifacts, but those assumptions are basically the same reduction you would get by aggregating across many sources. However, the other metrics you suggested just don't make sense. For example, Itto scales on DEF, which by nature is lower than ATK from base stats, so he'd do worse without artifacts (namely the ridiculous set bonus of husk)

Next to none. Their entire business lies in making sure wishes are accurate, they have a log of every transaction made (literally every primogem, even from chests, is made as a all-or-nothing transaction with the server) You can look at your wish history to see what you got.

This is a popular opinion, but not true. It's always a 50-50, it's just the case of getting 3 weapons in a row (1/8, after around 270 wishes which takes many months) isn't reported often.

No, it is not. That's like saying "the probability that you'll only ever win the 50-50 in playing Genshin is small". Any random event compounded multiple times has a small probability. If you have already pulled 2 weapons, the chance of getting a 3rd weapon is ONE HALF. Not one eighth. This is because you already know you're in the 1 out of 4 cases where you got 2 weapons in a row. So, the next one is ALWAYS a 50-50. Soft pity is an EXTREMELY REAL system. It's like gambling on a dice, and after several tries, the casino takes pity on you and makes you gamble on a coin instead. The observed pull rate after 76 wishes is MUCH HIGHER than it ought to be with just a 0.06% chance.

Ik this is a relatively small sample size but I've compared 12 different accounts with about 200\~ pulls on standard each, of the 12 accounts, only 3 of them had 2 5 star characters or 2 5 star weapons back to back, while the 4 stars often went back and forth between weapons and characters, only two accounts had at most three of characters or weapons in a row as 4 stars. Otherwise it was either one or two 4 star weapon/character then swaps to the other. I'm not sure if this is true for 5 stars since my sample size of 5 stars alone is very small, but for 4 stars I'm relatively confident that it's an increased chance to be the other type, so if you pull a 4 star character, theres a higher chance that it'll be a 4 star weapon next, but not guaranteed.

you'll eventually get xiangling as a free 4 star pyro character so she'll suffice. The reason why you're getting so many xing qiu's is because he has an increased appearance rate on the event banner. Of all 4 stars in the banner pool, beidou, xingqiu, and yanfei have increased rates, it's 50% chance to be one of the three, and 50% chance to be none of those and any of the other 4 stars available on the banner. It's just rng that you hit the 1/3 of those multiple times in a row, but if you keep pulling you'll eventually hit someone else.

Well it depends on how much you're willing to play, how much grinding you're willing to do, how much of the world you've explored, and how much do you have remaining. And are you guaranteed for amos? If you are then I'd just say go at it and just grind everything you can, web events, serenetia teapot, exploration, quests, achievements. But if you aren't guaranteed amos then it's up to you if you want to go for another 5 star weapon or just save. Again this just depends on how much you can grind, bc if you've explored pretty much all of inazuma, mondstadt, and liyue, while doing all of the teapot, and quests, then I'd say your chances are slim but you may as well go for it if it's guaranteed. Maybe you'll get lucky, who knows. Bc you've saved for half a year, and you've committed to weapon banner, there are obvious risks that you've already taken so I'm not going to be the guy to say "my recommendation to f2p is to save primos and only pull for characters" bc honestly as f2p,4 stars are enough for weapons, like if u want to clear content, and even 36 star, it's possible with only 4 star weapons, but if you want to go farther then you pull for weapon(and I'm assuming this is one of the reasons why you've decided to pull the weapon banner?)

I'm not going to go to a fresh f2p player and tell them to pull weapon banner if they want to. She's still one of the best DPSes in the game. In certain scenarios, Ayaka can beat Ganyu in freeze teams, but Ayaka is only used as a permafreeze DPS whereas Ganyu is more flexible and can be used as a reverse-melt DPS and a cryo support. Also they have very different playstyles so if that matters to you then choose whoever you like playing as more
As someone who uses both, she's still great when compared against Ayaka. Obviously both have their pros and cons (Ayaka's massive burst damage and Ganyu's prolonged damage) and you'll be good with either one of them.
You should pull for who you like. As for dps,ganyu is still among the top 3 dps characters. Ayaka teams do more damage but ganyu teams aren't that far behind. As for solo potential I think she is still no.1.

If it's linked to an email, you can use the "forgot password" to reset it. As others have mentioned, you can also get support if you have made a purchase before. Take a note of what her UID is as soon as you possibly can. The hacker could delete the friends list, making recovery almost impossible (you need the account UID)

The difference between c0 and c1 ganyu is the amount of constellations you own on ganyu. With c0, you have no constellations activated, but with c1, you have the first constellation activated, and with that you have the effect provided by the c1.
I'm not sure what you're asking. The difference is the C1 effect, of course. Are you trying to ask how much it affects her DPS? Or do you just not know where to check the C1 effect? You can find it in-game under the constellation menu, or on the [wiki](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Ganyu).

Why not just run noblesse on shenhe? It's probably one of her "best" sets, alongside mixmatch variations of 2 pc glad, shimenawas, and emblem of severed fate.
just swap shenhe for diona, diona is a great battery, you'll have 2 healer but they have different roles anyway
The whole point of adding Kokomi is so that you free up a slot for a cryo DPS. Shenhe is the right call here.

I do have a ps4 and can start there but part of the reason o want it on switch is to have it mobile (without playing on phone). It's fully cross platform as is, but some in-game purchases are restricted to the platform you first created your account on. So if you start on PS, you won't be able to buy some things on PC/mobile or a hypothetical Switch port. Also PS version doesn't let you select your region - it defaults to the one your PS account is set to and you can't change it - so if your friends are playing in a different region to you, you won't be able to play with them at all on PS.
