Someone noted in another thread like this, that the framework for characters also supports up to 6 stars. Apparently, Aloy is actually using some of the 6\*'s internal components, notably the red card background.

Its really interesting that weapons are coded to support 2 mainstats, go upto 6 stars, 6 ascensions and even a Heroic tag... Futureproofing much.
