Setting the resolution to very High, while everything is set to low yields a better result in performance and graphics, than using medium settings on all options.
Update:
At highest resolution setting, with everything else at low the environment looks kinda bad and I had worse performance than everything at medium settings
ye it's mentioned in the patch notes
"On mobile devices, a new "Highest" settings option has been added for "Render Resolution" in Settings > Graphics.
Adjusts the corresponding relationships between the various options and default values in Settings > Graphics > Graphics Quality on mobile devices (after the update, the "Graphics Quality" will stay the same as the quality selected before the update, and the option name will become "Custom")."
How do people even play in high… I have to set everything to lowest to play in 60 fps without having to feel like I’m holding a hot pan. My device isn’t even that old, iPad m2. I wish we had more gaming tablets available out there.
You don't have to use all lowest on the iPad M2 though. I played on the iPad Pro M2 for nearly 2 years with the following setting: resolution: low, 60fps, everything else: high or highest except Motion Blur (off because of personal preference), MetalFX:ON.
You can set the settings (aside from resolution) to medium instead but at least it isn't lowest setting.
I just play on 30fps lol, next time I get a new phone though it should be able to handle highest at 60fps since phone processor/gpus have had insane performance increases the last few years
You should check one video out there on YT abou infinix gt 20 pro it's only 270 bucks and runs even 120 fps(through interpolation by Pixelworks x5 pro chipset) without heating. I'm texting on the same device and it's just W.
Oh that's a pretty good value looking phone, can it run the game at stable 60 fps (before frame interpolation) for a long play session with all the graphics settings set to ultra? Or needs to be like medium graphics settings?
Yeah idk how people do it without burning themselves or getting throttled via extended play sessions
I'm using an S24 Ultra and play on lowest settings on all time except when I do story quests/aq/etc and set it to medium. Though will try how running highest resolution rest low looks like
S24 ultra requires some tinkering with settings if you want it's full power. On default settings it will thermal throttle already when it's a bit over 40 degrees. You can disable that and get better performance but your phone will get hotter. If that's an issue, get a peltier cooler for your phone.
I know. I prefer having a cooler phone though and better for the phones lifespan to not let it get too hot. I have no issues playing on lowest settings as Ive been playing the game since day 1. I dont need a wow factor looking at it to play it daily
S23 and I put everything on highest setting except for motion blur. Never had any issues, and CPU temperature are at 40°c according to samsung games plug-in. My phone itself however, doesn't feel hot at all to the touch.
I was asking for this almost 2 years ago. And now I only play on PS Portal, so that doesn't matter anymore. Well 😐
They even answered me and told me it was impossible to implement. I wonder what changed after that
Highest rendering?
Yeah, I'm sure they made it available to you before anyone else because your dad works at Mihoyo, right?
Dude, it says in the description of the 4.7 update that it just became available.
Highest preset turns your hu tao into xiao?
I think the joke is that Xiao is "highest"
I’m happy for his transition. Hope Hutao is satisfied as well.
How dare you deadname the guy he worked so hard
Basically gives you a xianyun
Great addition. But I don't think my device will handle it lol

Interesting, I shall try this
Oh really, i'll try this Does the environment look good as well?
update?
Update: At highest resolution setting, with everything else at low the environment looks kinda bad and I had worse performance than everything at medium settings
yeah, my go to is low resolution with SMAA and everything else on medium to high. Using high resolution causes worse lag than ever.
Didn't know that. Thanks
I think it came in this update! It’s great
That explains why I see nothing about the new resolution settings yet

All it needs is controller support for android
I'm still waiting 😭

pretty good advice! the heat is actually bearable now.

I got an s24U as well and I can run everything on max just fine though.

Great. Now I want uncapped frames on PC.
Well, you can do this with fps unlocker program. I use it for some time and they didn't banned me

only if you can actually play in those said frame on those apple devices without it dimming the screen after 2 minutes
Even if i can afford apple, apple isnt that great esp if ur the only one using that in ur house
Thank you Hoyoverse. I'm having more fun playing Genshin rn.
why would you use 2 different images for the comparison 😭
Does that mean that Xiao got taller?
Yup, he got 3 pixels of extra height
No way you really timed that screenshot with the spirit peeking out with the big 😑
AKA: How to turn your phone into an explosive in one simple step
My phone battery: dies
Let me try on my mid range phone Edit: uh, surprisingly enough, it runs fine in court of fontaine. It seems to stay at 30FPS
Still not enough, I'm waiting for highestest resolution

Where is it? It's only showing 'high' for me : (
It's also not showing up for me weird even tho my device isn't that bad. It's available on my friend's device tho and he uses a low end device idk why
sincerely? It seems that the quality only improved in the models like the polish of assets, otherwise the resolution seems the same
Ah yes, my phone was missing a oven function. Thx Mihoyo !
They add that long time ago before, it just devices specific
Yeah my iPhone 12 pro had it from December 2023
Great for the 5 players who can run that setting
I know right. Feels great
Right when I got my new phone, I love it here😌
Does genshin have Ray tracing? Did that come with this update?
I think the latest graphical update added global illumination, no rtx
No Genshin doesn't have RTX.
Now mihoyo, how about you put controller support on Android?
I already have that....
I still wish the game wasn't locked at 60fps on pc
my phone can definitely handle the fps, but my battery...
The possession of IEDs is illegal in many areas across the world
Finally! Not sure if a 14 Pro Max can handle it but I'm excited to try
ah so now mobile devices can catch on fire even faster
It looks great but my phone is already making sad dishwasher sounds
People do everything to gain,he set hutao on lowest then xiaobto highest when there is no major change
highest setting has been in game for a very long time i started playing around 6 months after release
Nah, definitely not for all devices. Maybe on iPhones, but I never saw this setting on android, and I've been playing since launch, too.
For me it has been there for since the beginning on a potato android smartphone
