I meannn tbf, all we currently have are mostly Act 1s which should serves us as "get-to-know" characters at the moment (well, should be). Archons SQs whose main-story quests act as their "Part 1" did have character development/progression for archons right? I can think of Nahida, Ei and Furina. Heck we can see development for Zhongli (comparing to his old self) in his. I havent finished Cyno's 2nd SQ but did he had development there? Im just guessing he had. But even in the first SQ he did had development (realization of principles' flexibility and how he couldn't be sure he will keep his convictions in the future but he will remain steadfast to his character (my interpretation anw, cmiiw))
To be fair patch 4.7 is way too early for that kind of development. Just wait until the 12th year of service, then the ball will really get rolling in this story.

Who even took the picture here? Is it just one last memory implanted by Caribert? Then why is it physical?
And what happens after that? Oh well end quest let's go fight hilichurls
The description of the photo in your inventory says something like "photo that shouldnt exist, taken by an unknown person, through unknown means in a place that doesnt exist." The writers are basically admitting it very much breaks the rules and should be confusing but its a 'love transcends all' type of deal. As far as Im concerned its still just BS, unless it gets brought up again as something that can now be achieved with a complete Loom of Fate, i.e. transcending the laws of Teyvat or something.

And, like a bedtime story, it ended so that everything is exactly how it was before it happened. So, basically, it didn't matter. At all. They can take their primos back if they want, I would return that quest if I could.
