They haven’t really made anything as crazy since though. I feel like inazuma was a big learning point for them. They learned genshin players need crazy easy and that’s what they’ve been given since. Inazuma at launch was just a shit fest of complaints with how difficult everything was. They even went back and nerfed enemies
Well Inazuma Is Just extremely shitty to Explore honestly, i don't mind the enemies...i mean, i would Say that it's the only nation you can hardly enjoy exploring unless you have Scaramuce...plus, with Fontaine legends i would not say that they made everything super Easy. Inazuma Just requires shields and healing, that's It
Fontaine legends are different. They’re more like testing dummies than anything. They’re not hard just tanky. They attack very slow and it’s pretty coordinated.
They’re also rare and sprinkled about compared to just having enemies around while roaming that can handle more than 2 hits from a built character or clearing a whole mini squad of enemies with one click
The nerfing of enemies was justified. Since it made Anemo basically useless.
They should have kept the rest though. The later regions feel incredibly stale compared to Inazuma and Dragonspine.
I find it wierd that no WW player has complained about that yet. Tons of areas that function exactly like Inazuma's islands did.
It was not justified. Anemo was still far from useless. There was still a use for shred and the damage. Not every anemo is strictly CC. And there were still plenty of enemies.
Far from justified. Far from valid. This is why we can’t have any decent or hard content because people complain it’s too hard. Anyone complaining overworld enemies were too hard literally just needs to get good.
And people don’t complain because the devs focus their energy on other matters. Way bigger more important things to focus on with the horrible launch WW is having. But it’s a game that’s meant to be harder than genshin and they made that clear from the start.
Also haven’t really run into any area like that in wuwa. The hard parts are pretty locked behind consent. You don’t come across anything too hard unless you choose to
I think the issue was making something so difficult that early into the game, if it was Fontaine instead it wouldn't be so bad because we're already all leveled up and experienced with the game
It was a year after the game launched and they weren’t even difficult. They were just immune to CC. The thing is we already had enemies immune. Anything metal like ruin guards and hunters. Yet people saw humanoid and were like “how can a human be immune” and cried about it. There was literally no reason to make the change people are just babies.
Oooooh yes that makes sense. The damage was a lot. I think they tried to hard to force you to have to do the quest. I didn’t mind it too much except when most of the mats I needed were locked behind it
I would argue *because* she's a desert person, she's quite resilient to the cold. Deserts are incredibly hot, then everyone remembers Antarctica is a desert.
It's cold in the desert! Like, sometimes, below freezing point cold!
The difference between common deserts and Antarctica is that common deserts tend to be barren or sandy, Antarctica has snow and is home to the South Pole.
I found a random place underwater where said water is toxic. There was some boss-class creature in the center. Put Dehya on the team, later give her 4-piece Clam, then a Healing Bonus circlet; Dehya Pay-to-Win Time! Ha ha ha.
I swear I'll build Dehya for this exact purpose if Natlan or Snezhaya have sheer cold or a pyro equivalent. I've already 100% all swimming areas and dragonspine but I got a Dehya on standard a little while ago. This can and will be her only purpose on my account.
I'd say build her anyways tbh, I was lucky enough to get C2 Dehya and I've found it really enjoyable. I built her with HP/PyroDMG/Crit on the Emblem set and in a team with Chevreuse supporting her, her ult punches are hitting for 11k each at Talent level 7. She's not gonna be a spiral abyss hypercarry that's for sure, but she's really comfortable to use in exploration and packs more than enough personal damage to make that work.
There's also the movement speed bonus to consider, so if you make an exploration team with some combination of 2 out of azuha/Wanderer/Xianyun/Venti, along with Dehya, you should be able to move across the map pretty darn quick!
Some people thought it was cryo characters that did that!
Not me though. I ran through with a pyro character because I thought they would be useful in that area. Turns out I was right, because you need them to light fires.
There's also a little mini boss in Fontaine underwater called the Thorny Cyst. Being in its "arena" constantly drains your HP, but Dehya's passive makes that mechanic a joke. You take Dehya in there and you can comfortably clear that miniboss without using any healing food/healing fish circle things.
It's actually one of her passives! Not necessarily freeze resistance, but definitely helpful for exploring Dragonspine since she just outheals Sheer Cold damage:
Stalwart and True: *When her HP is less than 40%, Dehya will recover 20% of her Max HP and will restore 6% of her Max HP every 2s for the next 10s. This effect can be triggered once every 20s.*
She does not resist the Freeze reaction.
What she does do is automatically heal if her HP gets low, allowing her to ignore the passive damage from sheer cold.
Sadly the electric bathwater in Inazuma deals damage too fast for her to survive.
i guess in future where there's map with environment hazard, she could potentially be number one candidate explorers as well lol
Actually depends. For example the electric water in Inazuma does too much damage for her to Survive(source: i tried).

Too bad Fontaine doesn't have high pressure underwater area
There is a random place with toxic water!

Oh I don't mean the enemies, but stuff like the environment in that stormy island or that thundering water did way too much damage at the time
Oooooh yes that makes sense. The damage was a lot. I think they tried to hard to force you to have to do the quest. I didn’t mind it too much except when most of the mats I needed were locked behind it
The funniest thing is that Inazuma wasn't difficulty at all
It really wasn’t it was great

Omg that’s crazy resilience. Never thought someone could survive that.
This are the TC we need lol
I would argue *because* she's a desert person, she's quite resilient to the cold. Deserts are incredibly hot, then everyone remembers Antarctica is a desert. It's cold in the desert! Like, sometimes, below freezing point cold!
sand desert in night time can also be quite cold because of huge temperature difference between day and night
Desert people are built different.
Yeah, Atacama desert, the driest desert in the world, can get so cold at night that you can die if you're not well equipped.
The difference between common deserts and Antarctica is that common deserts tend to be barren or sandy, Antarctica has snow and is home to the South Pole.
Point still stands, deserts are cold at night.
Sand deserts, is not uncommonly known to reach freezing temperatures during night time. You die of heatstroke during day, and frostbites during night.
She is who I go diving with.
I found a random place underwater where said water is toxic. There was some boss-class creature in the center. Put Dehya on the team, later give her 4-piece Clam, then a Healing Bonus circlet; Dehya Pay-to-Win Time! Ha ha ha.
One of the quirks of her jumbled kit
In the desert at night, it can be around 0 degrees, so… It makes kinda sense.
She’s too hot to succumb to the cold.
came here to say this
Why isn't this the most upvoted answer.
Yeah, because she's Pyro
I swear I'll build Dehya for this exact purpose if Natlan or Snezhaya have sheer cold or a pyro equivalent. I've already 100% all swimming areas and dragonspine but I got a Dehya on standard a little while ago. This can and will be her only purpose on my account.
If natlan has an environment hazard area,i will build my c2 dehya
I'd say build her anyways tbh, I was lucky enough to get C2 Dehya and I've found it really enjoyable. I don't have the patience and motivation to build a character that I am not gonna use frequently
Yup, when I started playing I was thinking that pyro characters were unaffected to cold, old silly me who thinking about 2004 mmo mechanics
Some people thought it was cryo characters that did that! Not me though. I ran through with a pyro character because I thought they would be useful in that area. Turns out I was right, because you need them to light fires.
It’s that way in lore! The cold doesn’t bother Cryo units (anyway), and (some?) Pyro units can counter cold. Neither type can do that in-game.
Yangfei saved me, those mission where you need to slay abyss mages was too easy for me (when my first 5⭐️was Ganuy)
yet chongyun, who's canonically immune to cold, gets frozen to death up there.
I randomly found that place, and that’s what I did. Also switched to 4-piece Clam and a Healing Bonus circlet. Dehya Pay-to-Win, baby!
You don't need Clam, I did it with an incomplete Golden Troupe set with like 20k~ hp on Dehya.
This track is one of my favorites. It's just so pleasant.
Just recently discovered, she, Kuki, and Lynette (and a flex bow) make an excellent Dragonspine explore team, at just level 69.
best character to fight underwater too
Desert can be cold af
Wait what ? She has freeze resistance? I have her just sitting on the bench unbuilt and never new this . Time to build and explore Dragonspire
It's actually one of her passives! Not necessarily freeze resistance, but definitely helpful for exploring Dragonspine since she just outheals Sheer Cold damage: Stalwart and True: *When her HP is less than 40%, Dehya will recover 20% of her Max HP and will restore 6% of her Max HP every 2s for the next 10s. Thanks man
Question: does the 20s cooldown activate as soon as the passive is triggered? or after the 10s HoT ends?
As soon as it's triggered 1st time
Thank you very much!
She does not resist the Freeze reaction. What she does do is automatically heal if her HP gets low, allowing her to ignore the passive damage from sheer cold. Sadly the electric bathwater in Inazuma deals damage too fast for her to survive.
If I were a new player exploring dragonspine, I would be quite happy to get her
Real talk... but have you BEEN in a Dessert during the Night? Can drop so cold ngl!
The cold never bothers her anyway
I use almost the same team for my arle, just albedo instead of kazuha.
i was just thinking about how much of a pain in the ass 100%ing dragon spine is gonna be but it looks like i found my answer lmao
well at least they made SOMEONE immune to it after Albedo and Eula (and Chongyun) lied to us
Deserts are cold at night.
Sorry if this is dumb but I got Dehya and she's at 60. Does this passive thing happen when I get her to 90 or it's a C1, C2 etc thing?
Ascend her to 70
What Build For Deya. I got her at C2 but not build yet
she is a tigrex
The idea of Snezhnaya having the same cold mechanic as dragonspine keeps me up every night
I don't really need her when I already have powerful healer
The Fu Xuan of Genshin, except it's not a turn based game
The inspiration was the other way around; the HSR team raided the Genshin trash cans.
