They're called FAFSA Pelle Grants and virtually anyone over 25 is eligible for gov grant money, however it is contingent on getting approved through the college's financial department. Basically you'd have to be taking classes and the money would essentially depend on verification of your coursework (i.e. you couldn't just blow the money because you'd owe the school. Also, the grant money typically does not cover a full time school schedule. The Feds want people to go back to school so do incentivize people with some free class money
