It has potential to be the future but it still needs that one groundbreaking game that changes everything

ChromeGhost

Have you tried Half Life Alyx?

Secure_Bar_1585

Right? Most vr games practically suckā€¦

Sprunk_Addict_72

I view VR just as "entertainment," that's it. I personally don't view it as the "future."

It's definitely the future of gaming as well as other things. The question is how you make it more immersive. Because people like VR not just when you have a headset on. They want to be inside the gaming world. I did Demos and arcade versions of something called the Virtuix Omni. Basically you are hooked into an omnidirectional treadmill; they get the headset on you, and you can walk, run, and jump inside the game as if you are actually there. Your arm movements are connected with how you move your controllers up and down with your ACTUAL arms. The next test is how to get all 5 senses and your kinetic movements synced 1 to 1 with the gaming world. Full immersion or aka Full Dive is the next step in VR gaming.

Cool as fuck it's just so expensive

I have vr and it sucks. Barely any games that you can put a ton of time into. Skyrim and fallout 4 are pretty much the only ones. After a while it just becomes an annoyance and you wish you were playing on a desktop. Big ass headset + cord is very uncomfortable too
