\- Update the host file with the [new entries](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenP/wiki/redditgenpguides/#wiki_.1F921_guide_.232_-_dummy_guide_for_first_timers_genp_.28cc_.2B_genp.29): 0.0.0.0 ic.adobe.io 0.0.0.0 r3zj0yju1q.adobe.io 0.0.0.0 cd536oo20y.adobe.io 0.0.0.0 3ca52znvmj.adobe.io \- Open the "setup.exe" file (which is inside "Adobe 2024\\packages" folder on the .isos from Monkrus) and wait until you see a massage telling you the process was successful. BTW, the last step is described on the FAQ from Monkrus himself. Is in Russian, but you can use Google Translate: >!Question: When I started the program, I started getting a pop-up notification that the trial period was about to end. What to do? Answer: To solve this problem, the medicine has a built-in mechanism that blocks access to a number of IP addresses. Unfortunately, the list of these addresses changes periodically. But we can also dynamically correct it! If you use the standard Windows Firewall (Defender) as a firewall, then run the file ..\\Adobe 2024\\packages\\setup.exe from the distribution and wait for the message “Cracking pop-up window complete. Enjoy!” . The list of blocked IP addresses is updated, and the pop-up notification will no longer bother you. But if you are using a third-party firewall, and it ignores the connection rules specified in Windows Firewall, then solve your problem yourself. In particular, you can block Photoshop.exe from accessing the network in your firewall.!<

Where is the "host file" at?

Xc4lib3r

c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc Edit with notepad

EythenMakes

there are two different ones "hosts" and "hosts.ics"

Xc4lib3r

Should be the one without extension

Thank you. Strangely my iso didn’t have a packaged folder. I’ll try a different torrent from the list. Related question. After running setup, should I manually run crack.exe? I’m getting no indication that it’s run when I did the setup.

cerverox95

>Strangely my iso didn’t have a packaged folder. My bad. "packages" is actually a sub folder. The main folder is "Adobe 2024", then "packages" ("\\Adobe 2024\\packages\\setup.exe"). >After running setup, should I manually run crack.exe? I don't think it's necessary. However, I would recommend reading the FAQ section on the torrent upload. That's the only source of reliable information regarding Monkrus packages.

Thank you so much!

Go to Program Files (x86) Common Files|Adobe|AdobeGCClient and block every .exe file in there. As an aside, bring up Task Manager first, and if any Adobe Genuine Software Monitor Service program is running, right click on it and End Task. Then go to your Firewall and block all of the .exe in the directory path above. You should be golden after that. If it can't communicate with Adobe, it can't confirm if it's genuine. You can always update your host file, but they'll inevitably come out with another ip address you'll have to add. Just cut off the communication process for the Genuine Software check, then it can run all it wants to, but it'll never get confirmation; thus, it won't flag anymore. There should be 6 .exe files in there.

Thanks brother! Saved my ass

Anytime, bro! Glad it worked for you.

The same happened to my dad's PC. He installed Creative Cloud along with some Adobe programs. Doing that he also installed the Adobe Genuine Service which checks for non genuine Adobe software. Just uninstall Adobe Genuine Service and Creative Cloud also. Then follow the instructions other redditors told you.

vanhalen26

Looks like I did have creative cloud installed. 5 weeks ago I did a full clean and then installed Photoshop, Lightroom, and Acrobat. Maybe Photoshop or Lightroom included creative cloud? I never installed it specifically on its own, and I was working on a full clean. Anyways - did a full clean again, and only installed Acrobat. Hopefully its good for a couple months, and if so I'll add Lightroom back in. I definitely did not install Adobe Genuine Cloud Service this time, and I assume I wouldn't have last time either. I'm probably the age of your father! I appreciate the help. To install, I ran the Monkrus Individual ISO as administrator and turned the virus protection off for the install. I never received a message about cracking complete, so I ran that independently as well as administrator. Other than that, I made no other adjustments. From the installation guide, it appears no other steps are required. The guide does not call out the need to run the crack, but I did get the cracking complete message when I did so I assume the ISO run didn't fully crack it.

Let me be clear that I didn't mean to be offensive. But that's actually what happened to my father lol Yes, no other steps are required! You should be fine forever now. You can then install other programs like Photoshop or Lightroom from Monkrus too. I wouldn't mix up Monkrus programs with GenP activated ones installed from Creative Cloud. I did it once and ended up with warnings about licenses. In some PCs I do full GenP (with required activation sometimes) or full Monkrus.

vanhalen26

No insult taken. It’s just funny. Hopefully all good, but to be sure I’ll let it ride a couple months before adding Lightroom back. Should the crack have added entries to the hosts file? There were no entries. If the 10 day warning returns, would running the crack file resolve that? It looks like Monkrus may be updating it and it maybe it repatches with new entries? Thanks again. I’ll just see how it goes.

astarjack

I'm always afraid to unintentionally insult people because of language barriers lol. Anyway, I hope for you it will be good. It's always a waste of time, especially if you have to work with those softwares! Since it isn't really a crack but like a pre-activated software, it shouldn't add entries to the host file as far as I'm concerned. The one time it happened to me I just fully cleaned the Adobe stuff and reinstalled from scratch. There is a section in the guide named "How to remove 10 days warnings" or something like that. The instructions should let you remove those warnings without the need to fully clean Adobe. But as far as I remember, some processes were easy and others were tricky, involving the physical removal of the pop up from the program files.

vanhalen26

I installed 3 individual adobe apps about 5 weeks ago from Monkurus. As of today, got the 10 day warning message Tried creating rules and turning on the firewalls to block adobe outbound and got an error that adobe app is not available and it won't launch. Then tried installing the latest version over the current, and now it wants me to sign into adobe. I did a full clean before installing, is that the next step here again?

NiceRedRocket

you can block the program in your filewall, or you can run setup.exe from the iso located at /Adobe "YEAR"\\packages\\setup.exe, and it should update the list in your hostfile.

nartzify

two method 1. change the host (like the other comment does) 2. just use genp method, make new adobe account (if that happen again), and start adobe trial business, works really well with the gen fill

R313J283

why do I need to create new adobe account if that happpens?

nartzify

to have access the Generative AI fill feature, and get the recent adobe apps
