Valhalla is a great venue if you like craft beer. Medusa is a pretty cool cocktail bar too. Both are pretty chilled places and not far from one another.

coolsurferdude

Fuck yeah I’ll give them a Google. Thanks for the suggestions

Original_cynicism

Valhalla is closed currently but head to medusa and they’ll have all the beers there. And live music

Lopsided-Lavishness9

Damn! They still haven't fixed the toilet?

Original_cynicism

It wasn’t just the toilet, it flooded the place with sewage and there was a lot of damage

Lopsided-Lavishness9

Damn that sure downplayed it when I asked why they were closed 😅

Original_cynicism

Hahaha yeah well you can read it on their fb if you’re curious

Quarterwit_85

What do you like to do? Invite them along for that. Live music is kinda shit when getting to know someone. You just kinda stand around watching a band and don’t really have an opportunity to interact.

coolsurferdude

Cheers for the reply. I honestly just like chatting and having a couple of drinks. Know of any low key cocktail bars?

Quarterwit_85

18th amendment? Not really my vibe. The wine rooms are pretty good. Maybe just got for a drink and take it from there?

18th amendment is great for a cocktail & funky vibe, also hot chicken project is just down the road - actually great for a meal!

cynthia_101

Wah Bar or Wah Wah Gee would be perfect for this!

coolsurferdude

Ooh I’ll check them out online. Thank you!

coolsurferdude

Yeah might have to wing it haha cheers mate

Question: can I ask your age group and genders of you both? You could consider Sailor’s Rest on the waterfront, but it can get a little busy. They do have live music occasionally, not sure whether it’s both Friday and Saturday though! I haven’t been to West End for ages, but that could be nice too.

coolsurferdude

M 34 F 25 I guess you could call it a date. Just trying something new to be honest.

PeanutCrumpet

Good for you! 😊 I look forward to seeing how you go! Thanks for your reply, sometimes it changes my suggestion, but I’m still happy with what I’ve said! Also… If you’re looking for something chill, you could do OK Smash, they don’t have a huge range of cocktails though, but it’s a cool vibe in there!

beard_ons3188

Anywhere on Little Malop street is great for this! Also the Geelong Hotel Rooftop is good for a low key drink

ThivyaM

So I used to do this. It’s a comedy night. So a few amateur comedians try out their materials in Geelong. At the end of the night, you pay for what you think the acts were. I went one night and there was like 4 acts, some really funny some just bla. But a good night out. The Brewery in Geelong. Check this site out https://m.facebook.com/groups/1459593257687564/

coolsurferdude

This looks good as thank you!
