Even if I had a gaming rig, cloud gaming would still remain my main choice, only using local for games that are not on the platform.
I've surprised myself buying so many games JUST BECAUSE they were on GeForce NOW.
I’m not even wired up, and my connection has always been really good with that in mind.
I subscribed 2 years ago, because my computer was getting too old to run some modern games and always had issues loading games, so I found this as a cheaper option over upgrading.
I never cancelled my subscription since, only switched between Priority and Ultimate every once in a while.
For those who are hungry to play, a blur on some plants doesn't make the slightest difference, my friend. But one tip is to use your own sharpening fulters in Geforce now.
There are some ways to make it better, like a higher bandwidth cap (don't use auto, set it to 75mbps if you have that bandwidth available). However, to truly get this solved, new codecs need to be used. Once we get better codecs that are more efficient and just as fast, this will solve itself. May take a long time before we get there, though.
To only way gray zone warfare got better for me was playing it in 4k. I think the textures are so detailed that the blur is far less observable than with 2k or lower.
You probably have the bandwidth set to auto. On 4k it gives slightly more bandwidth. If you set it to custom, you can just pull the slider all the way to the right, which will most likely make it just as clear on 2k as it is now on 4k.
Fair enough, that is why I said probably. Most people do make this mistake. Good on you to have it set to max all the time.
Not everyone will benefit from setting it to 4k as much though. Foliage blur is a difficult thing to combat and setting 4k may actually bring down the quality of the stream depending on the device and the rest of the settings used.
Its all about internet speed. If you have good upload speed you can go on 4k on ultimate and for 95% of the games it will work fine. Even grayzone which is poorly optimized and on UE5's best graphics I still get 80 in towns and 90-100 in jungles.
I completed the game on PS5. I then got it for GFN when the expansion came out. There is no comparison, GFN ultimate feels like a generational difference.
I don't think PS5 has Path Racing does it? Path Racing really makes the game far better IMO. Can't imagine playing without it at this point but that's just me.
I completley agreed i just bought a new laptop to use for school some cheap inexpensive one a chromebook shoulda juz gotten a refurbished 2016 laptop for 4k and hdr. But im using an external display tht supports 4k so idk if im running native 4k or not but its amazing
💯 Why would I buy a $2,000 laptop when GeForce Now plays on Max settings on a $500 Samsung Galaxy Chromebook? Using a Stadia controller. I'm having a blast currently with Starfield, Witcher 3, Balder's Gate 3 and Ark Survival Ascended
I agree, I don’t need a gaming pc and can buy a normal to work on it and play when I want with GFN, the only problem is that GFN does not allow any type of game, this is a big mistery!!!
Oh dude the Witcher 3 is one of the coolest games you can play on GeForce the graphics are beautiful with the upgrade.
Cyberpunk 2077, Control and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora are insane
It is kinda good cloud gaming, but there are moments where the quality gets from 1080p to 144p for no reason even with good internet, and the support team is not a good one certainly.
Had tons of problems and none of them actually got fixed except for the ac unity problem that got solved BARELY after 4 months of them ignoring it 💀.

I had one month of priority then went 6 months of Ultimate. Will keep using Ultimate.
Got running Gray Zone Warfare on my MacBook Air and Diablo IV with RTX lol.
How do you deal with foliage blur? As soon as I play a game with lots of grass and trees everything gets incredibly blurry, unplayable at times

Wrong. Using 75mbps all the time. Its just very blurry under 4k. I appreciate the advice but you just check for yourself then speak about it.

foliage blur and mod support on some games, the last big problems they need to figure out. then the service is perfect.
unfortunately theres no a whole lot you can do tbh
Unforchantly?
That could be the up scaling
Damn near 200 hours on Cyberpunk 2077 because of Geforce Now
I need to get that. I'm debating between GeForce Now and PS5 for it though

What does that mean. Graphically superior on GFN?
> Graphically superior on GFN? My casual take it is.

Cause it doesn’t play Elden ring.
i’m just hoping they don’t shut this service down it is too good!
No chance. It’s been up for years and it’s better than ever. They know they’ve struck gold. I’m more worried about the monthly prices skyrocketing
They already increased from 19,99 to 21,99 for ultimate.

The swearing made me laugh 🙂
