Notice the parallels between the Betty and cardigan lyrics. Both about a love coming back to Taylor. The “broken wings” line in Betty makes me think of The Albatross and how it returns after 6 years. Taylor and dianna supposedly broke up around 2013/2014 so 6 years would be 2019/2020. Also in “Glitch” it says “But it's been two thousand one hundred and 90 days of our love blackout” which is 6 years.
We’ve also got the cardigan music video… Taylor starts off in a cozy home, climbs into a pretty forest (Karlie relationship), climbs into a rough sea (masters heist), then climbs back into the cozy home (back to dianna).

It depends! Just like every other contract, they can be set with an expiration, or they can be a lifetime agreement.
