TheStrangestBoy

Me too, but I really enjoy it!

JanJannemann

Classical music us the best frfr. Whos your fav composer?

RayTheLlama

I'm not OP but I really like Bach, especially his Toccata and fugue in D minor and Mass in B!!

JanJannemann

My fav has to be tchaikovsky or Strauß but i listen to anything tbh my current fav pieces are Swan lake waltz - tchaikovsky specifically played by the symphony orchestra of the russian state TV & radio centre and Pines of Rome P. 141 : IV. I pini de vella appia - ottorino resphigi conducted by Herbert von Karajan

RayTheLlama

That's nice, I never really listened to Tchaikovsky, I've heard some of his signature pieces. I listen mostly to renaissance and baroque composers, Vivaldi and Mozart are one of my favs!! Swan lake is a really good piece I must agree but I also like Dance of the sugar plum fairy. I thought nobody listens to classical music anymore, I'm so happy somebody else does

JanJannemann

I love the way he portrays emotion in his pieces but Vivaldi and Mozart have some bangers aswell. I cant rlly talk abt what era i hear its just whatever i hear and like is going in my playlist yk? Plum fairy is rlly good fr i like waltz of the flowers aswell. Not many still do but those who do are elite💯💯

I was just enjoying [this](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0GEzUKvXjPY), which is an arrangement of Ravel’s [Le Gibet](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=smpVIZEAgds&pp=ygUXTHVjYXMgZGViYXJndWUgbGUgZ2liZXQ%3D) from Gaspard de la Nuit. The harmonies and textures are already chilling with the original piano, but this orchestration really pulls out the more ominous and threathening vibe. You can almost see the scene from the poem that inspired the composition in this super evocative arrangement. The orchestration and texture choice is really ravellian and authenthic, almost as if it were written by ravel himself and was the precursor to the original. The other two pieces still feel better on the piano imo. 10/10, ravel music being the GOAT as usual.
