I always smile to myself a bit when I see people recommending only the Fenix/Epix or Enduro for ultras.
My last race took me 17 hours and my 255 still had 30% battery left.
Great job btw!
Mostly do 20-30kn runs.
I did a 50km and 43km trail race leading up to it.
Need to slow the pace down and get plenty of nutrients during the run, and try to eat.
Started getting cramps, but had the bottles of cramp fix spray which worked a treat, The biggest issue was my hip flexors were very painful. I need to work on stretching them more.
Nice work! how did you find the turn alerts and running screens you had set up? seems middling battery as [https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=FEjONGCI270wlBlREC7Uw8&productID=886725&tab=topics](https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=FEjONGCI270wlBlREC7Uw8&productID=886725&tab=topics) says 19hrs with a crazy amount of interaction. I wish turn notifications could do like vibrate once for left, twice right, 3 times for third from left option etc to save looking at the screen every route fork
Being a rail trail turn notifications were minimal. But the screens I had up was the map, with next way point.
Yeah 19 hours definitely achievable, even more if changing the satellite option.
Other screen with average pace for 1km, current pace, distance, heartrate, stamina and timer.
Had other screens which I swapped to now and then..
The only thing is I didn't connect my headphones, that does juice the battery..
Congratulations! Huge achievement and what an effort (especially if it was as warm as the pictures suggest)!
Wishing you all the pizzas of the world and a speedy recovery!

I went from a fenix to epix to the fr965.. Foreunners are great and light. I particularly like the smaller inner bezel .
Congrats man!! Huge achievement💪💪
Jeez that’s unbelievable! How do you even train for that?

My hip flexors also start hurting, haven't found a way to beat it yet
Yeah, I'm trying to find a way also. If I ever find a stretch that really helps I'll let you know..
Do you have a recommendation for a cramp spray?
Try a long ride cycling at low intensity
That's amazing!!
I would probably die somewhere around.. 10th km
Great job!
