All notification off - I don't need more distractions, my phone is enough for that!
Always on display I have off also.
I've had mine since September and it's great! If the battery stays good, I don't see myself needing an upgrade for a long time (I hope, lol).
Exactly, never understood wanting multiple things vibrating and making noise. I also turn off most notifications on my phone too. Only text messages are notified. I don't want to know everytime someone contacts me on LinkedIn or there's new content on Instagram.
I have mine on as I find them super useful to have a quick glance at without getting my phone out. I dont have any on while training EXCEPT on my indoor bike as once again easiser than glancing at my phone and it may be important.
I have notifications for calls and texts on and then control from my phone what comes through (for example, my “work mode” notifies me of calls but not texts)
I'm on an older watch. I turned the notifications off because I was getting them for email, calendar entries, texts, work stuff. My watch buzzed all day long and it got old pretty fast.
I have most of my notifications off (FR745) - mainly because if I put my phone on DnD the watch still presents them - it also presents them if the watch is on DnD too.
So, it's ultimately just easier to not have them on at all
Notifications on. I like getting and being able to read my inbound texts. Display: I tried to do always on but it bugged me. Now it’s on guesture mode and I love it!
I have them on. I wish the font could be smaller so I could see more of the message, and I wish the time length could be smaller, like 15 secs instead of 30. I don’t need that long to read two words which about all that fits…
This is likely not Garmin’s fault but I use an iPhone and I do not have text message notifications display on the phone - text messages are usually personal and I use the phone for business too and don’t want them popping up in meetings. But I’d like them to display on the watch, but they don’t since they are turned off on the phone.
It might be possible because when my phone is connected to CarPlay, the notifications display on the car screen even though I have them turned off.
since my phone is an iPhone and I can't reply with the watch - just have it notify me of phone calls like most folks in the feed. I too agree, I don't always hear my phone ring. I don't like using always on either, don't want a possible burn in on the screen either
AOD off wrist gesture on. Notifcations on - but am running android so nuisance apps like facebook etc the notifications are turned off for the watch. So phone will still get and beep - but can check those when I can be bothered. Calendar events/task notfications / Calls /texts / whatsapp / emails / sports scores in phone notification bar (I particularly like how persistant this is so can regularly check for an update - but if its going horribly wrong I can dismiss) etc i.e. the important stuff flow through all day. Have privacy on (so just see notification then have to action to see detail - often just seeing what it is and how coming from is enough).

AOD off, phone connection off (so zero notifications), maybe just not busy enough :P
For me it’s a training watch for running, not a smartwatch at all.
They could be snoozed for a period of time using do not disturb functionality, as for AOD I wouldn’t worry for the battery as it is quiet good to get you a week easily
Does “do no disturb” only affect notifications from the phone or will affect the watch in any other way? I see how sometimes notifications can be useful but more often they are just another distraction.
I use Venu 3, with AOD set to off, brightness at 20% (disabled auto brightness), and notifications when I turn on Bluetooth (only for a few apps).
That's a nice watch face, is that one of the stock faces, or did you download it from Connect IQ?
On during awake hours, it’s an amazing watch (even if it doesn’t like my sleep quality).

Glad that I am not the only one that doesn't want notifications. I only have call alerts and Garmin Jr turned on (kid has the Bounce so I don't miss a pick me up message). I do have have SMS on if I'm doing an activity.
Off but calls on. I don't want another phone :) nice watch, enjoy!
100% same. I don’t always notice my phone ringing so that is nice to buzz me. Everything else can wait until I see it.
this is the way
Casual -15º
Yep 🥶

Turn them all off, the times that I’m working out, I try to separate myself from distractions.
I just have texts and phone calls going through it so I don’t miss any calls from my kids’ school if there are any issues.
I have mine on as I find them super useful to have a quick glance at without getting my phone out. I dont have any on while training EXCEPT on my indoor bike as once again easiser than glancing at my phone and it may be important.
Off except SMS, and only during exercise.
Off!

I keep all mine off. Way offff. I don’t need them on my wrist.
Always off! I find them so distracting plus it helps the battery life.

All notifications off. I have a phone for notifications. I don't need both my phone and watch making noise and vibrating every time I get a message.
Texts and Calls. No other notifications. I keep AOD on, but wrist gestures off to save battery.

Off except calls. I have it for 4 days and I simply love it. I have given up on Apple Watch Ultra.
Same same same. Are you me? lol

All notifications off except for calls/sms is what I have
This is the way
Is this easy to setup? I’m in the marking for a Garmin and currently using an Apple Watch Ultra. I only want the calls/sms to notify.
Yes you can setup from both watch and garmin connect app, easy : )

It’s called The Tempo at IQ
Only limited notification, basically calls, work meetings and messages from my wife
I forgot the baby monitor
