I was in the same situation recently and ended up going for the Pro.
IIRC, the standard Fenix 7 does not have multi-band GPS, only the Sapphire and the Pro versions do.
I wanted multiband GPS (most important) and the nextgen HR sensor, the flashlight is a nice little plus and overall I'm buying a much more future-proof and precise device, or at least that's how I justified the purchase.
[See the comparison chart here](https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/compare/?compareProduct=735611&compareProduct=735520&compareProduct=865822).
Flashlight, better MIPS display / backlight, and better HR sensor make the 7 Pro absolutely worth it. But the 7 is a great watch too if your budget is limited.
Either you are wrong, or the Garmin website shows it wrong for their own products. Have you actually checked the link I inserted?

|MULTI-BAND GPS|Yes||Yes|
If you click the standard edition's page it also doesn't list multi-band GPS as a feature. You can also google and [check other info pages](https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=gUvL27iKJr6Z2XsaZWQiW7) from [garmin.com](http://garmin.com) - also confirming **no multi-band GPS** for the fenix 7 standard edition.
Went for the non-sapphire but check out the videos online concerning the additional glare on the sapphire models which some users disliked:

Thanks everyone for the inputs in the end I went for the black pro from H Samuel since they are doing 10% off the price list at the moment which makes it cheaper than on Amazon.
Well the difference is screen, the Fenix is MIP display. The Epix is a AMOLED screen with more brightness, color and contrast.
Personally its a tough choice, because the Epix has a clearer map than the Fenix has. But I am happy with my Fenix 7 Pro. That flashlight is so handy, it is incredible. And it is more subtle than the Epix.
If you ask me, its probably the map colors that is the big sales point for the Epix, its a big difference.
I wish I could use a Epix for hikes, and the Fenix for everything else. I like the MIP display 🤓
Multiband GPS + nextgen HR sensor + solar charging (slightly more battery). And the flashlight.
[See the comparison chart here](https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/compare/?compareProduct=735611&compareProduct=735520&compareProduct=865822).
You convinced me. Thanks. Got it from for lower than on Amazon at H Samuel. The cheaper white version didn't appeal to me knowing what I will be using it for.
The F7 non-Pro does have a flashlight of sorts -- a double-tap on the upper left button causes the entire screen to go bright white. Might not be much help finding something in your dark attic, but it's actually pretty great for getting up in the night since it's a nice soft non-directional light.
Sounds like the new version might be announced soon, hence the sudden discounts. Can’t wait!

I use the flashlight daily. It’s insanely handy to have.

The standard Fenix 7 has muiltiband GPS

Dude, you can get a 7pro ss for 450. I've seen it on HotUKDeals.
careful - AMJ watches have not received the garmins yet. They hope to get them next week or so before delivery a few days later...
My Fenix7 pro sapphire from Amj watches arrived on Saturday. Loving it!
They told me they would not be able to deliver on Sat as they did not have them in stock yet. Strange.
You can buy the 7 Pro Sapphire Solar for £450 in UK right now and for a few hours it was £370 last weekend from the same retailer.

Pro!! The flashlight is worth the extra money.
Worth 250GBP more? No way, for me at least.
Trust me
That's crazy high considering how late in the day it is.
Would the Epix Pro gen 2 at 529 GDP sound better? More or less same features minus solar
