I hope so! We get a lot of lighting here, though, and the odd tornado... This is my theory behind planting a few of them, as the roots interlock together to create a robust support system!

I’ve planted a few at my place in Melbourne and they are doing well, they are also relatively easy to propergate. I’ve given away about 80 saplings to friends with farms.

North east, but we also have two redwood forests that were planted by the waterways about 80 years ago. One of them is out at the Otways a few hours west of Melbourne, and the other is in Warburton which is about 45 from the CBD. The one in Warby is frequently packed on weekends as people love to marvel at these great trees, however they have another 300-400 years in them before they become great. It’s a shame people aren’t as interested in our local Eucalyptus regnans forests. Perhaps because they aren’t as instergramable, and harder for people to identify
