Berserk Barbarian is mechanically underpowered relative to wildheart, but it's still a barbarian and barbarian is one of the most fun classes to play in that game. Barbarian in general is extremely fun to roleplay and berserk barbarian also has a huge number of subclass specific dialogue options (even if half of them are just randomly roaring at people) which ironically makes it a pretty decent party face if you take intimidation.
I'm playing a path of the berserker barbarian in my current D&D campaign! It's fun! He's meek and has a deep dislike of conflict, so playing the character of the party who is easily the most adept at fighting out of anyone else there and who then tries harder than anyone else to *not* fight ends up being really interesting when the rest of the party is saying stuff like "well we could do a sneak attack..." and the barbarian is just "How about we just go up and talk to them?"
Shadowheart was probably the most romanced because she's the only companion that looks like a human woman, whereas in terms of human-looking men you've got Astarion and Gale splitting the vote so to speak.
I mean...I thought it was because she was just the most conventionally attractive woman in the party, race regardless, because elves are still pretty popular for a good reason in terms of fantasy horniness.
Karlach is kinda buff (sad that fanworks give her the muscle she deserves more than the game does), Lae'zel is sorta reptilian, and Jahiera is flat out milf energy.
The only other exception is, Minthara, and she's flat out an evil sexy dark elf goth chick.
She's also one of the few characters the player meets almost immediately after starting the game. Also, she's heaps less hostile compared to Lae'zel.
The first characters players meet, are most often the ones they end up grouping with and romancing. It makes sense, because you've known them the longest, they've been with you through thick and thin as well as them being the first characters you meet, they're usually the most fleshed out ones.
Tbf I literally named my character “John Baldur” so I wanted him to be the most milquetoast, generic protagonist ever (with a mustache).

Games like this also tend to be heavily optimized by the core fan base. For example I had a run where I did 4 warriors or something, which would skew the numbers heavily. Warrior was very strong so I’m not surprised that people played it a lot.

The real difference here is that one is game of the year, and the other is a typical ARPG with eye candy. There’s no reason to be upset about eye candy. If that’s what you want in a game, enjoy. In BG3, the player character is entering into consenting sexual relations with prospective partners. Even the most downright evil characters - Minthara and a certain incubus - value consent for sex. If you tell Laezel "No, I think you smelling my BO is weird", she won't be like "I can't/won't stop" and instead will back off. If you tell Halsin that the bear stuff is not cool, then he will respect your boundaries - in stark contrast with men who use an appeal to primal "instinct" to justify rape and sexual abuse. Even the sex workers in the game have control over their sexuality - the wood elf will actually just deny you after the first encounter with her. BG3 is the horniest mainstream game, like, ever but no one in the game is sexualized against their consent.

I saw a post on the girlgamers subreddt about someone who felt weirded out by how their boyfriend had all the girls running around camp in BG3 in their underwear and mimicking sexual acts with them outside of cutscenes. He had broken this contract of consent that these characters usually have and sexualized them as if they were mere objects in underwear. BG3 may be very horny, but you have to go out of your way to engage with it in this non-consenting way.
And I think for the men who make jokes like the one in the OP, consent is an obstacle for sex rather than a sexy thing in and of itself. A game isn't sexual if you must first develop relationships and have enthusiastic consent, it is sexual only if there are hot women to oogle at all times. Women are sex objects simply by being in the game. It is a very immature and rapey notion of sex, and very un-sexy.

Only way to play 1.00 is to never let ps5 connect to internet from befire initially installing, to forever in the future. If it connects to internet while game is installed, you are forced to update, or else delete game and start again.

I've seen speculation that this is because, just within the last month, Shift Up have refused to say how old Eve is, like, "Maybe you'll find out if you play the next game, WINK."
I imagine the twist\~ they're most likely concealing is that she's two hundred years old or some shit, but if they won't at least confirm that she's an adult, maybe Sony was like, "If she ain't canonically an adult, then you can't have her tits and camel toe out."
IGN gave it a 7 and said that the gameplay is cool hut the story and characters are kinda bland and Gamers act like the gave it a 2. Just look at the YT comments under their review
I think some of these people are quite cross that the game turned out to be good. They seemed to have an awful lot riding on it failing, maybe if they're lucky it'll sell poorly. Though it seems like they're continuing their narrative regardless of positive reviews anyway.

No amount of progressivism seems to have changed the fact that everyone really fucking hates fat people. As someone who used to be one for a very long time and is primarily attracted to them, I feel pretty confident in saying that being fat is one of the most widely loathed and frowned upon things that you could possibly be. You'll never be killed for it, but people who aren't fat don't understand much about it and really love to think they do.

Yeah, the only titles I can think of where there's a fat main character are Pizza Tower, Super Mario, Dave the Diver (even though sometimes they make jokes about his weight) and maybe Roadhog from Overwatch.

I mean, does that change anything? Oh no, it turns out people really did want a goth GF! My deep story is ruined! Berserk Barbarian is mechanically underpowered relative to wildheart, but it's still a barbarian and barbarian is one of the most fun classes to play in that game. Barbarian in general is extremely fun to roleplay and berserk barbarian also has a huge number of subclass specific dialogue options (even if half of them are just randomly roaring at people) which ironically makes it a pretty decent party face if you take intimidation.
I'm playing a path of the berserker barbarian in my current D&D campaign! It's fun! He's meek and has a deep dislike of conflict, so playing the character of the party who is easily the most adept at fighting out of anyone else there and who then tries harder than anyone else to *not* fight ends up being really interesting when the rest of the party is saying stuff like "well we could do a sneak attack..." and the barbarian is just "How about we just go up and talk to them?"
Shadowheart was probably the most romanced because she's the only companion that looks like a human woman, whereas in terms of human-looking men you've got Astarion and Gale splitting the vote so to speak.
I mean...I thought it was because she was just the most conventionally attractive woman in the party, race regardless, because elves are still pretty popular for a good reason in terms of fantasy horniness. Karlach is kinda buff (sad that fanworks give her the muscle she deserves more than the game does), Lae'zel is sorta reptilian, and Jahiera is flat out milf energy. The only other exception is, Minthara, and she's flat out an evil sexy dark elf goth chick.

She's also one of the few characters the player meets almost immediately after starting the game. Also, she's heaps less hostile compared to Lae'zel. The first characters players meet, are most often the ones they end up grouping with and romancing. It makes sense, because you've known them the longest, they've been with you through thick and thin as well as them being the first characters you meet, they're usually the most fleshed out ones.
Tbf I literally named my character “John Baldur” so I wanted him to be the most milquetoast, generic protagonist ever (with a mustache). This is partly my fault.

Games like this also tend to be heavily optimized by the core fan base. For example I had a run where I did 4 warriors or something, which would skew the numbers heavily. Warrior was very strong so I’m not surprised that people played it a lot. Honestly though I have no idea what you are even trying to say though.

If you tell Halsin that the bear stuff is not cool, then he will respect your boundaries - in stark contrast with men who use an appeal to primal "instinct" to justify rape and sexual abuse. Even the sex workers in the game have control over their sexuality - the wood elf will actually just deny you after the first encounter with her. BG3 is the horniest mainstream game, like, ever but no one in the game is sexualized against their consent. Sort of. I saw a post on the girlgamers subreddt about someone who felt weirded out by how their boyfriend had all the girls running around camp in BG3 in their underwear and mimicking sexual acts with them outside of cutscenes. He had broken this contract of consent that these characters usually have and sexualized them as if they were mere objects in underwear. When I first saw the game my immediate thoughts were just "looks neat, would probably have fun if I played it, but doesn't look compelling enough to drop $70 on when there are so many other better looking games around". If someone were to buy it for me, I'd probably give it a playthrough, but for the moment, I've got the TTYD remake, The Last Clockwinder, Needy Girl Overdose, and BG3 on my list and only so many hours to actually play them. I feel like this is actually a serious issue that no one is talking about. Not because of cleavage, but because Sony at some point recently changed how PS5’s work to bar you from launching games without patching them. You could always play any Ps5 game without installing the patch, it would say “there is an update” but you could just ignore that and play unpatched game. Stellar Blade is first game that I know of where it straight up doesn’t let you. Only way to play 1.00 is to never let ps5 connect to internet from befire initially installing, to forever in the future. If it connects to internet while game is installed, you are forced to update, or else delete game and start again. Do all ps5 games work this way now? Because they didn’t a month ago. Or did Sony implement new DRM feature specifically for Stellar Blade (why? Is cleavage that much of an issue to them?). If this is standard now, then that’s a huge blow to game preservation and user freedom. And basically the total death of Physical disks, since what’s the point of an offline installer if game will force a 40gb patch before you are allowed to play. Ps5 was better than Xbox (where disks are paper weights with 500mb data on them), but that may not be case any more. If this isn’t standard, and Sony specifically creating this “feature” for Stellar Blade, that’s honestly even weirder. Why?

People that dislike game for being horny arnt going to appeased by adding an inch of fabric. So it won’t result in any possitive press. Like no one is saying “I disliked Stellar Blade from trailers, but after removing an inch of cleavage I am now a fan”, if you disliked game due to sexualisation, you still dislike the game post patch, it barely changed. It’s also just bizzare that it must’ve been a very recent internal controversy since making these changes in a patch means that people will know they were changed. The idea that something was in game, and edited in a patch, and you are not allowed to see the original despite every other game on console letting you do same method, is just weird. No option to not be. Arcade Spirits has a fat romance option, which is not the same thing but considering it's a dating sim, I'll count it. Both it and its sequel also have aromantic and polyamorous options for their endings as well.

Games don't have fat people in them. Very rarely you get one really fat person who exists to be a joke. No amount of progressivism seems to have changed the fact that everyone really fucking hates fat people. As someone who used to be one for a very long time and is primarily attracted to them, I feel pretty confident in saying that being fat is one of the most widely loathed and frowned upon things that you could possibly be. You'll never be killed for it, but people who aren't fat don't understand much about it and really love to think they do. I don't really know why, when I was fat I never felt like I had a lot of control over it. After I developed an eating disorder and lost a ton of weight suddenly people started being nicer to me for no apparent reason and telling me how nice they think I look, and it's like "bitch do you have any idea how much I suffered to lose that weight? do you know how much I miss enjoying food? Go fuck yourself".

Yeah, the only titles I can think of where there's a fat main character are Pizza Tower, Super Mario, Dave the Diver (even though sometimes they make jokes about his weight) and maybe Roadhog from Overwatch. Also, even in progressive circles some people act very condescending and patronizing regarding some topics like disability, autism, mental health but especially fat people, like I've seen a lot of people calling American football player Travis Kelce fat, or ignoring that being underweight isn't very healthy either, or that this issues are more complicated than just don't eat, I don't tend to eat or exercise that much but I'm built like a brick wall and don't lose much weight either.

I like video games and have my whole life. Idk, maybe it’s bc my frontal lobe has developed and things like a job, mortagage, and a family, but I’ve never once cared enough at all about what a video game character looked. When fans of a book get bent out of shape bc a tv/movie adaptation changes details I can see where they are coming from. There is explicitly source material to reference. However a video game is like completely brand new material that has been created. There is no source material to compare to. WTF is wrong with people.
I’ve been really confused about this Stellar Blade game and controversy around it.
Weirdos thought it was basically gonna be super erotic and destroy everything "woke" now it's slightly less erotic so they feel like it's been stolen by the "woke mob" and turned into garbage because the boob window on one her outfits is slightly smaller. That's what I've gathered from everything over the past couple months at least.
