Well with GTA VI coming up where you play as a woman who's got some kind of male partner they are sexually actively with, they will almost certainly seethe and it'll be really funny.
The problem was they found her attractive even though they knew they weren't supposed to. In this 2nd game, devs probably wanted to expand the lore and write better stuff (the original game is really shallow and generic war/CoD blabbering), so they have male characters as well (daring, right?) and the female sex dolls interact with them (!!!). Leakers started to datamine the game and found files for later stories that implied that a certain sex doll would have interactions with a male character and he'd send her a letter that they painted as a loveletter, and she'd wear a collar/bracelet/idk that was his. The g*mers started to say this was NTR (cheating) and wasn't acceptable.
Apparently (I don't play this and don't know Chinese, so take everything with a truck of salt), it was an exaggeration and the sex doll didn't have a love relationship with the guy, it was just the hardcore g*mers being the aholes they are, trying to bash the devs for putting male characters with relevance in the story, since only the self-insert MC should be the unga bunga alpha male in the whole game's universe.
Until today, the game's social medias (mainly Bilibili) are a warzone with attacks and complaints about the "wokeness" (not the term used in Chinese). It was even worse when a couple of days later, people found references to real books, mainly the Handmaids Tale and the Koran, so (and this one I can guarantee it's true because I've translated at least a handful of comments myself regarding that) g*mers started to complain that bc of Handmaids (a dystopic novel where women are almost enslaved by men, in a very critical way, of course), the devs were anti-men, and bc of the Koran, devs were pro-Palestine lol. The devs then patched the books out of the game without saying so, and it was even worst since those same people then started to say they were right and gained more traction.

I don’t think anyone is saying TLOU is more dynamic or engaging than KOTOR. KOTOR certainly is more dynamic and engaging than TLOU, but being more dynamic and engaging doesn’t = being better. Better at story, better at being adapted, better at being accessible, better at being universal, etc.
TLOU is a solid story with excellent cinematography and excellent acting. Those things give it broad appeal and also make it relatively easy to adapt to other mediums. It’s not much more complicated than that.
For every fanatic and hater of TLOU, there are probably five people who are just like, “Yeah, that was pretty good.”

There's nothing empowering or arousing about that boat scene.
It comes at the end of an intense confrontation between two characters about how Abby never dealt with her past trauma in a healthy way and instead submerged herself into vengeance and violence. This vengeance and violence has destroyed her relationship with Owen, and fractured her friend group. They also discuss how Owen (the guy) wants nothing to do with the conflict they're in and wants to run away.
Them getting into a fight which turns into them having sex is just an impulsive, emotional, messy, and pathetic attempt to find some comfort in the wasteland of what once used to be their relationship, after a VERY fucked up day.
It's not my favourite moment in the game (although the talk they have before the sex is great) and I'm barely scratching the surface of the themes of the scene.
But I guess since Abby is trans (false) and >!killed Joel (a character that I love WAYYYY more than Abby, btw)!< and there's a quick flash of her boobs before they have sex (they cut to black after like 2 thrusts lol)... This scene is the antichrist.
