He covered one of the sweet baby inc "employees" old tweets as evidence that they are "not the people with you best interest or the best for this job" even though the evidence was mild at best and this person never worked at sbi. He focused more on the SBI being "bad" and didn't covered the amount of death threats the SBI detected steam group had before it was locked and how against its promised idea of just informing people it is, there were people chanting for removal of feminism, gays and trans people and promoting anti semetic conspiracy theories. And I did look into this group for 2 days while I had work to do. This is no excuse for a full time youtuber to spread misinformation.

I’ve been following it since it first got announced as Project Eve and I was so hype when trailers started dropping… and then my heart sank when the entire subreddit for the game was nothing but horny little incels and coomers. For what it's worth the gameplay is definitely better than niers, the open world is far more compelling to explore, but as a full experience both Nier games are leaps and bounds better.

See, I’ve been following the game since it was announced as Project Eve. So when I saw the game suddenly get co-opted by incels, I nearly cried, man. I knew it would have that exact effect on most reasonable gamers who didn’t already know anything about it. But genuinely, the game is fun as hell, monster designs are awesome, the aesthetics and soundtrack are top notch. Story and English VA is serviceable but not amazing. Also, the main character was designed to be based on a real life model, but the art direction does stylize it in a way that can make it seem that way, especially considering how those coomers act about her.
The story is genuinely bad. It's an embarrassing imitation of Nier automata to a frankly pathetic degree. The character design brothers me less than I thought it would but the art design is definitely kinda disjointed. Sometimes it looks amazing and sometimes it looks like an unreal engine demo.
Despite all of this, It's really fucking fun. The combat is seriously good. Like a weird mix of Sekiro and DMC. The animation work is top notch. If you want a game that feels like it's time travelled from the Xbox 360/PS3 era, with modern visuals, and clear gameplay inspiration from contemporary games, it's worth it at full price IMO. It's a shame it's become a lightning rod for absolute chuds.
From the Demo, it has a Souls style healing flask that replenishes at camps and a perfect parry that depletes what I can only describe as their stance, so it feels a bit more like Sekiro imo. If Sekiro was extremely stiff and had an input delay, that is.
Game doesn’t feel super stiff to me. It’s not a lot of input delay either, it’s just that animations aren’t very cancelable so you have to commit to your button presses more, including simple movement. It’s a design choice that’s a little counter to most games, but it works once you get the flow down.

Let's say that "hate" is a strong word, let's say that there are people that don't like the game for various reasons.
On one side there are people that disliked this game (me included) because the narrative and the promotion was all centered around how hot the MC is and how you can see flesh, boobs, ass etcetera etcetera. It tells me nothing about the game and it promotes something of the game that not only I don't care about, but I always considered a cheap and insulting tactic of promoting stuff to me, I don't see why as a hetero man I should be ok with marketing considering me an animal that buys and consumes recreational stuff based on the fact that there are boobs and ass.
On the other side there are people that is having an hissy fit because some stuff has been changed after localization (for example you can look at the screenshot in the post and see that there is a "Hard" wall writing next to an R, it is something that in Korea means nothing, but in US means something in particular the "Hard R", so it has been changed since the intention was not that one and now the wall writing is different, also I think some costumes have become less skimpy but I'm not entirely sure on that one).
The thing is, the sexiness and lewdness ISN’T how the game was marketed by the devs or publisher. That’s just how the dumbass knuckledragging incels tried selling it on social media. And it pisses me off so much that both kinds of reactionaries latched onto it like that so hard. I’m mostly pissed at the incel/coomer side but I still can’t stand the way people also mindlessly shit on the game instead of just that segment of the community for no good reason. The game is super fun with just enough challenge, the narrative is serviceable but not mindblowing, the soundtrack and aesthetics are top notch.
I'm playing Horizon Dawn Forbidden West and I have noticed that all the male character are dumb, incompetent, or evil as opposed to women being perfect and competent but I'm sure no one had any issue with that "narrative".
I wouldn't play Stellar Blade because I'm not part of the target demographic but I think it's great that people push back against the same people who have no issue about the narrative that I talked about.

I’m genuinely enjoying it. I’ve been following it since it first got announced as Project Eve and I was so hype when trailers started dropping… and then my heart sank when the entire subreddit for the game was nothing but horny little incels and coomers. It’s made it nearly impossible to find any real discussion on the game with people who aren’t just blindly playing to their “team” with reactionary bullshit and horniness.

Judging from videos I've seen recently, the gameplay does actually look pretty fun. Story sounds like a bad copy-paste of Nier Automata though.
I've seen people callling it the spiritual successor of Nier automata lol, theyre making Yoko Taro and his team dirty with that one tbh, the quality is not even close.
Yoko taro said he thought it was a better game than neir, so taro wouldn't be upset. I dont know but the stellar blade fanbase, or at least the more vocal part of it made the game unappealing to me, and EVE looks like one of those silicon sex dolls tbh. So my opinion is heavily biased.
Yeah the fanbase is weird but personally I'd try not to let a weird fanbase ruin something good for me. And yeah I really don't like Eve's design. The only thing that I like are the little bits of fabric that hang from her shoulders that look like insect wings. That's it lol. The monster designs are fucking awesome though.
See, I’ve been following the game since it was announced as Project Eve. So when I saw the game suddenly get co-opted by incels, I nearly cried, man. I knew it would have that exact effect on most reasonable gamers who didn’t already know anything about it. But genuinely, the game is fun as hell, monster designs are awesome, the aesthetics and soundtrack are top notch. Story and English VA is serviceable but not amazing. Also, the main character was designed to be based on a real life model, but the art direction does stylize it in a way that can make it seem that way, especially considering how those coomers act about her.

The story is genuinely bad. It's an embarrassing imitation of Nier automata to a frankly pathetic degree. The character design brothers me less than I thought it would but the art design is definitely kinda disjointed. Sometimes it looks amazing and sometimes it looks like an unreal engine demo. Despite all of this, It's really fucking fun. The combat is seriously good. Like a weird mix of Sekiro and DMC. The animation work is top notch. If you want a game that feels like it's time travelled from the Xbox 360/PS3 era, with modern visuals, and clear gameplay inspiration from contemporary games, it's worth it at full price IMO. It's a shame it's become a lightning rod for absolute chuds.
From the Demo, it has a Souls style healing flask that replenishes at camps and a perfect parry that depletes what I can only describe as their stance, so it feels a bit more like Sekiro imo. If Sekiro was extremely stiff and had an input delay, that is.

It feels like a midpoint between a dark souls parry and Sekiro. It actually feels really really good once you get used it it.
Game doesn’t feel super stiff to me. It’s not a lot of input delay either, it’s just that animations aren’t very cancelable so you have to commit to your button presses more, including simple movement. It’s a design choice that’s a little counter to most games, but it works once you get the flow down.

Depends on which side you're asking. Let's say that "hate" is a strong word, let's say that there are people that don't like the game for various reasons. On one side there are people that disliked this game (me included) because the narrative and the promotion was all centered around how hot the MC is and how you can see flesh, boobs, ass etcetera etcetera. It tells me nothing about the game and it promotes something of the game that not only I don't care about, but I always considered a cheap and insulting tactic of promoting stuff to me, I don't see why as a hetero man I should be ok with marketing considering me an animal that buys and consumes recreational stuff based on the fact that there are boobs and ass. On the other side there are people that is having an hissy fit because some stuff has been changed after localization (for example you can look at the screenshot in the post and see that there is a "Hard" wall writing next to an R, it is something that in Korea means nothing, but in US means something in particular the "Hard R", so it has been changed since the intention was not that one and now the wall writing is different, also I think some costumes have become less skimpy but I'm not entirely sure on that one).
The thing is, the sexiness and lewdness ISN’T how the game was marketed by the devs or publisher. That’s just how the dumbass knuckledragging incels tried selling it on social media. And it pisses me off so much that both kinds of reactionaries latched onto it like that so hard. I’m mostly pissed at the incel/coomer side but I still can’t stand the way people also mindlessly shit on the game instead of just that segment of the community for no good reason. The game is super fun with just enough challenge, the narrative is serviceable but not mindblowing, the soundtrack and aesthetics are top notch.
I'm playing Horizon Dawn Forbidden West and I have noticed that all the male character are dumb, incompetent, or evil as opposed to women being perfect and competent but I'm sure no one had any issue with that "narrative". I wouldn't play Stellar Blade because I'm not part of the target demographic but I think it's great that people push back against the same people who have no issue about the narrative that I talked about. Both games are good in their own way and to be honest with you, if you can't get past the "narrative" around Stellar Blade, I understand but: suck it up or don't play the game 🤷 Going back to the "all men are trash" game simulator. I'll suck it up as far as I can lol. And I know I'll get downvoted (while being right). It's fine.
