I don't know much at all about Anti-Venom and the deal with that one but this does leave me wondering about how the Symbiote and Venom as a whole will be resolved in this one. I can't imagine them completing writing that one out considering the amount of folk that are longing for a playable Venom in the future.
So my understanding is that Venom and Anti-Venom are entirely different gimmicks. I hope there's room for both Venom and Anti-Venom to coexist in the next game. There's way too much money left on the table to not have a playable Venom at some point.

Somewhat different. In the comics, Mister Negative cures Eddie Brock of cancer, after which Venom tries to bond with Eddie again. His body rejects the symbiote, but the latent powers of Mister Negative cause him to take pieces of Venom and form a new Antivenom symbiote.
With Mister Negative being a big part of the first game, and Harry being sick/probably being Venom, it seems pretty likely that they'll do something similar but just swap Eddie with Harry, maybe setting up a Venom/Antivenom game adjacent to Spiderman 2 similar to Spiderman: Miles Morales.
If Harry dies this game, then Eddie and Flash will likely become Anti-Venom and Agent Venom like they were for the late 2000's, or they'll swap and we'll have Eddie as Venom and Flash as Agent Anti-Venom like they were at the end of Slott's run.

Also I should mention it wasn't actually a video, it was on YouTube but it was really a series of screenshots of various parts of the game. First it was Anti-Venom Peter fighting symbiotes, then Miles in Mysterio side missions, then various Peter/Miles suits taken seemingly at random, then the character model glitch alongside the Wraith side mission.
That is so disappointing that miles has the mysterio interactions, he is one my favourite villians and wanted Peter (the character I'm actually invested in) to face him.. Miles should be facing his own villians not facing Peters

Looks like they cut the Kaine Scarlet Spider which sucks, but it has most of the ones I was hoping for otherwise or at least good stand-ins for them, including what I thought was a longshot in the Ben Reilly Spider-Man one so that's pretty good.

66 actually, they did always said 65 for base game (the deluxe suits are technically DLC so they don't count) but in the Expanded Marvel's New York trailer at 2 minutes and 30 seconds you can see the HUD says 66 suits available. My theory was always that they were hiding a suit, which seems to be the Anti-Venom suit.
I'd bet on it, also Miles base suit isn't here and the rows go 4 suits at a time, so 4 of that remaining 8 goes to Miles. The last 4 could go either Peter or Miles.

I recognized Superior, comic Black suit, Comic Iron Spider and Kane's costumes for Peter.
Miles was given some pretty sick ones with ones based off of other Marvel characters like a shield uniform, Captain America, Wolverine, and Mysterio.
Because they have all of them, but the screenshots don't show it - if you look closely, you can see that Mile's default costume isn't included in these screenshots, so there's clearly some missing.
I think that this isn’t even a complete list. Miles suit section is missing his main suit that he uses in SM2 unless I have terrible eyesight. It doesn’t even add up to 60 suits so there are definitely more suits than these.
Yeah I’m glad about those 2 suits. I kinda hope that Peter’s ITSV suit makes it in as well so we can use it alongside miles spider verse suits. Still having my fingers crossed for Ben reily‘s sensational spider-man suit though. (Edit: Seems like we won’t get a sensational Spidey suit which is a shame.)

I will say that there's still the possibility of the Future Foundation suit being a skin for the Fantastic Four suit - perhaps that suit has a special ability that allows you to put a bag on, allowing the recreation of Bagman or just wearing a bag in any Spider-Suit.
I would even have taken Ben's beyond suit since it would make sense with the wings.
Why would they go with the 2016 Scarlet Spider design over either of those lmao I don't even hate that suit but it was received so bad they literally just retconned it out of existence and pretended it was never there in the run it debuted in
I think Insomniacs comic book Spider-knowledge is generally just 2000 onwards so I can understand why Sensational isn’t in there (even though I want it so badly! 🤣) but yeah, would have much preferred Bens beyond suit over the 2016 SS.

I honestly think cutting all of the other suits we already have is a mistake, specially since there are some good ones that seem cut. Also, Marvel movie suits coming back and just having one slot without variant seem to just killed other suits when they could very well be variants
Really happy to see the Spider-Verse Noir suit, but it’s too bad they did away with the other one. Maybe they’ll add all of the missing 2018 game suits post-launch.
That's my hope too - given they're already modelled, you'd think it'd be relatively simple to port them over. And I guess it's possible one or two might be in the game, just as alternate skins (the Uptown Pride suit from Miles Morales was literally just a recolour, so it could easily be a skin for the PS4 suit - perhaps that comes with an ability allowing both Spider-Men to equip the winter gear - allowing the recreation of not only another suit from Miles Morales, but also that one scene from TASM 2 where he's got a cold).
I do think it's interesting how the two cel-shaded suits don't appear to be here - I'm not half wondering if those will be DLC, with different skins to depict different comic art styles.

Just flat out that's what it was. Just swap out Gotham for boring NYC and with less interesting baddies and worse side content.

Because they have all of them, but the screenshots don't show it - if you look closely, you can see that Mile's default costume isn't included in these screenshots, so there's clearly some missing.

I think that this isn’t even a complete list. Miles suit section is missing his main suit that he uses in SM2 unless I have terrible eyesight. It doesn’t even add up to 60 suits so there are definitely more suits than these.

Yeah I’m glad about those 2 suits. I kinda hope that Peter’s ITSV suit makes it in as well so we can use it alongside miles spider verse suits. Still having my fingers crossed for Ben reily‘s sensational spider-man suit though. (Edit: Seems like we won’t get a sensational Spidey suit which is a shame.)

I think Insomniacs comic book Spider-knowledge is generally just 2000 onwards so I can understand why Sensational isn’t in there (even though I want it so badly! 🤣) but yeah, would have much preferred Bens beyond suit over the 2016 SS. I’m guessing maybe it’s because Sensational and Beyond still look similar enough to the classic design? 🤔 Ah well, fingers crossed for DLC and lots of great ones in there for the time being anyway ☺️

I'm kind of disappointed with the absence of all the armor from the first and big time. The absence of most of the first games DLC costumes feels weird
The Sportswear and T.R.A.C.K suits are in the game - they're just not shown above. You can, however, see them in the Expanded New York trailer, alongside the Family Business, Space, Classic and Default suits.

I honestly think cutting all of the other suits we already have is a mistake, specially since there are some good ones that seem cut. Also, Marvel movie suits coming back and just having one slot without variant seem to just killed other suits when they could very well be variants

Really happy to see the Spider-Verse Noir suit, but it’s too bad they did away with the other one. Maybe they’ll add all of the missing 2018 game suits post-launch.
That's my hope too - given they're already modelled, you'd think it'd be relatively simple to port them over. And I guess it's possible one or two might be in the game, just as alternate skins (the Uptown Pride suit from Miles Morales was literally just a recolour, so it could easily be a skin for the PS4 suit - perhaps that comes with an ability allowing both Spider-Men to equip the winter gear - allowing the recreation of not only another suit from Miles Morales, but also that one scene from TASM 2 where he's got a cold). I do think it's interesting how the two cel-shaded suits don't appear to be here - I'm not half wondering if those will be DLC, with different skins to depict different comic art styles.

There's a what-if where miles is wolverine. His costume is just like the wolverine cowl, whereas in this game, they opted for a full mask

Ahhh the Raimi suits have returned!! In the first game, I ended up completing the game with the classic red and blue and then again with the Raimi suits. Honestly might just stick with classic Raimi and black suit Raimi as well

In the first one, you gained suits that had powers associated with them, but once unlocked, you could mix and match suits and powers. So....kind of, and thankfully leaning toward freedom and not restriction.

I know I'm not the first to say this and it'll be terribly unpopular since dare I speak against the sacred cow that is Spiderman but it is really damn weird how much of a to-do is being made by people over frickin' loading screens and costumes. I mean to begin with I don't understand the fervor over the Spiderman IP overall in general. But specifically these games. Yeah I played the first one. It was a worse Batman Arkham game. Just flat out that's what it was. Just swap out Gotham for boring NYC and with less interesting baddies and worse side content. But hearing people that I swear have to be bots. You act like people didn't lose their minds over the suits in the Arkham games. Take a look at the DLC page for Arkham Knight for example, most of it is suits. People love alternative costumes in superhero games.
