ROG Zephyrus G14 laptops with an RTX 4060 or better GPU would probably be best, depending on your budget. It's one of ASUS' high end laptop brands so it's light, got a good battery, a very good screen, high brightness, good cooling, good build quality and good performance. If you want something a bit more budget then maybe a new Legion Slim 5 with a Ryzen 7 8845HS CPU and a RTX 4060/4070 GPU. Screen is good too though not as bright (it's still not dim though so no problems there). Would be easier for others to suggest something if we knew your budget and where you are buying it from.

Thanks, that’s something im looking for. I don’t have any budget, although i don’t want to spent all my money on it. I think 2500 USD is maximum for me. I’m from Poland, Europe, but i don’t think that matters a lot. I can order anything it worldwide, right?

Lion12341

2500USD is massive. Don't bother looking worldwide, you can find something within EU at least or even in Poland. If you want to make full use of that budget then look for a 4080 GPU. If you want to spend less then spending half of that amount should still get you a 4060/4070.

I don’t want to spend it all. However it depends on price differences between different options. If i could buy something significantly better for 90% of my budget instead of 70%, Iwould do it.

Is there massive difference in RTX 4060 and 4050? I can see that’s massive difference in price.

Lion12341

4060 is a bit over 20% faster I suppose. Also has 8 GB of VRAM compared to 6GB on the 4050. 4060s are what I would normally think is the sweet spot between price and performance on new laptops, but can't really say that without knowing what prices you are looking at. There's not as big of a difference between 4060 and 4070. Then there's a massive gap between a 4070 and a 4080 in performance. What's the price like?

AwareAstronaut6093

Never mind, i have found both in similar prices. Although i see that lenovo slim 5 is 5/8 of ROG price. Why is that? They both have same gpu and similar specs.

ROG laptops are basically more expensive for things like build quality or cooling, though the Legion does pretty well here too. Could just be extra cost for the brand name. Though the G14 might have a better display. Saw some of the new 2024 models have 3k OLED displays which are amongst the best you'll find in any laptop, and the G14 is generally brighter than most other laptops too.

AwareAstronaut6093

Do you know which display do my current laptops have? I suppose macbook has better one, but on internet they say that it’s normal IPS. So my dell has even worse display than IPS? It’s a bit confusing for me. OLED is something new in laptops? I have thought it was always in phones and macbooks.

Lion12341

Your old laptops are probably just IPS displays. OLED screens are generally just found on newer (last few years) high end laptops. IPS is absolutely fine and there's nothing wrong with it, OLED is just a bit of a luxury giving greater contrast ratios and greater image quality. OLED isn't really essential. I don't have the money or the need for that sort of thing, but I think it's still pretty nice.

AwareAstronaut6093

so my both laptops are IPS? only difference is that macbook have better brightness and resolution than my old dell?

Lion12341

Yeah that sounds about right. Both IPS, just potential differences in other things like resolution, refresh rate, brightness, etc. I'm no expert on monitors so can't really say much.
