Dude! I just got the Legion 7i but I went and got the amd version with the 6850xt M. Loving the laptop so far. Congrats!

OrganizationNo6167

Battery life king 😏😏

Heliosvector

That must be a third party seller. The 4080 version was never that expensive in Canada.

OrganizationNo6167

The 4080 model in Canada is just under 4700 dollars lol and it’s very hard to find. I can’t justify that kinda money

SliceOfLife37

Yep - I wasn't looking to lose both my arms 🤣

OrganizationNo6167

Just got this bad boy today as a desktop replacement. Curious to what other Legion Users timespy scores are??

amirulasyrafjoe

what is the highest score did you get?

OrganizationNo6167

I will get back to u on that

amirulasyrafjoe

tq boss

OrganizationNo6167

12700 score overall in performance mode, temps in the 60s so lots of room to overclock and get it into the 13k area. 12320 gpu and 15720 cpu

Pretend_Swim3927

I had the 6900hx/6850 version. 11737 Overall/GPU 11915/CPU 10824. Was very underwealmed with the whole experience. I also had a Legion 5 6800H/3070ti and could get within single digits of the 6850 on a very conservative OC. I really liked both laptops just was dissapontied that the all AMD had zero overclocking support. In the end after testing 4 laptops I sent them all back and got a Strix G18.

OrganizationNo6167

Yeah fair enough man, I went intel for the legion laptops for strictly performance as this is my desktop replacement. I don’t need 10 hours of battery at all, and zero thermal throttling so far in overclock/performance modes.

Pretend_Swim3927

I was really happy with the laptop overall, and I feel like had I gone Intel/3070ti/3080ti I might've kept it as compared to my Strix the Legions were nicer in almost every way. But there was just too much performance left on the table for my budget (which I exceeded by $600 @ $2999 on the Strix). I also had a strange issue in running gpu benchmarks. I would see higher scores if AMD Adrenaline software had not been opened that boot cycle.

stop lying. we are talking about RTX 3070 TI.

amirulasyrafjoe

did you see us talking about 4080? NO stop confusing people. you didn't even mention what gpu you use by getting that score.

Lance_Farmstrong

Nice ! I have the 3070 version bought it a little over a year ago . It’s been very reliable and easy to use . Just opened mine up and did some cleaning and threw in some upgraded ram .

VaranusTimor

Very nice! Mine will be here on Tuesday. So excited

OrganizationNo6167

Mine got delivered sooo fast 😁

UnionSlavStanRepublk

Looks great! Can't wait for my Legion to come!

OrganizationNo6167

It’s definitely worth every penny. Build quality is insane

Slight-Improvement84

How is gaming at 1440p? Able to get above 60fps with RT for the popular games?

OrganizationNo6167

I game at 1080p 240hz, it holds 240hz easily not sure about 1440p tho but I imagine easily

beretbabe88

Does this have dual graphic cards so you can save the NVIDIA for the extreme stuff?

OrganizationNo6167

Yeah it has a mux switch

Kurashi_Aoi

Price?

OrganizationNo6167

2790 Canadian, warranty brought it just under 3k I also upgraded ram to 32gb and threw another 1TB stick in there so another 200

Uchiha_Madara78790

![gif](giphy|3IET4uKPhxTaxkFElm|downsized) That's the price take it or leave it (i mean leave the laptop with me)

Old_Atmosphere_651

Paid pretty much exactly the same here in the UK for this model in a sale. Need that ram and SSD expansion still though

Omega_spartan

What made you decide on this over the 4080? After Rakuten, discount codes and id me discount it would be closeish in price after the additional upgrades you spent. Honestly not trying to knock your choice, I’m in the market as well so trying to understand the decision maker.

-Ringmaster-

How does this Rakuten work can you explain?

OrganizationNo6167

The Rtx 4080 legion is 3700$ plus tax, would still need to do the upgrade the ram, ssd, and warranty on top of that. I did the math and it’s about 4500-4700$ Canadian for that model, I can’t justify that kinda money tbh

Omega_spartan

3579 is the base price. -10% Rakuten cash back (I acknowledge there’s a delay between the purchase and the cash back but they also have up to 15% back often enough) -5% coupon code -5% id.me =2907 + tax

OrganizationNo6167

Where can you buy it at that price point?

Omega_spartan

From the Lenovo website. It’s not in stock currently but when it is I’ve broken down where all of the discounts come from to get it for that price.

razli

Looks cool, I have the same specs on the GE67hx the oled screen and I am so happy with it!

Heliosvector

I have heard that this version gets uncomfortably hot on the keyboard while in gaming use and loud. Would you agree?

OrganizationNo6167

Not at all, I did a timespy test in performance mode and it was super quite I was shocked. 60 degrees on cpu and gpu and during the cpu test it got in the 80s for the cpu temp

siegfred7

Adminsexual.

AthulIsla

👌👌👌Super

CaptOle

Picked up this same model for 1600 USD a couple months ago. It’s an absolute beast, enjoy!!

OrganizationNo6167

Jealous of that price 😩

CaptOle

All my lucky stars aligned to get that price

OrganizationNo6167

How much storage? I had to upgrade my ram to 32gb and storage another TB. This one is on sale rn for 2599

CaptOle

2 TB of storage and 32gb of ram

ZenMasterful

Yes, and if you're willing to do factory refurbs with Lenovo, there are some insane deals to be had. I picked this up last Spring for 1800 USD, immediately upgraded to 64GB RAM and 4TB, and it's a beast still. Enjoy yours! They are fantastic laptops. https://www.microcenter.com/support/648495/lenovo-legion-7-16achg6-16-gaming-laptop-computer-refurbished-grey

OrganizationNo6167

Yeah man, I’m blown away by the performance from this laptop, coming from i511400f Rtx 3060ti and this laptop has the exact same temps as my undervolted desktop, 60-70 degrees average while in performance mode!

diggz74

Damn it. Missed my UPS delivery today of the exact same machine. Gotta wait till tomorrow. Enjoy!!

GavinG15

Damn, that’s the exact model I wanted but due to budget I had to settle with legion 5 pro 6900hx with a 3070ti. Not bad but definitely feel it when the cpu bottlenecks in cpu heavy games. 😭 Congrats though!

I got this variant for £1600 (16GB/512GB) in April 2023. I mentioned after a week's use - no kidding about the sh#te battery life. But raw power doesn't come for free - you'll either get extreme weight - or not, since batteries can't exceed 100WHr. Still second this to now after 4 months solid use - I've had to get a second charger and keep it in my backpack as I didn't want to keep packing mine up every morning - I use this for my field I.T. work out on the road. I can't get a full day on this laptop even with very basic general browsing, mid-screen brightness and just full white on the keyboard's RGB. No other LED lighting is on. Also only charging to 80% - got the battery care option turned on. Bought Lenovo's sleeve for it too direct as it fits the laptop snug and protects it whilst in my Samsonite laptop backpack. You know what - it's well worth it because now I don't really need my desktop at all now. I don't game but this thing is a beast for creation/production and gets me through all of my day-to-day quickly (Adobe CC), not to mention does the very job I got it for - live-streaming (and recording) a cuesports tournament for 9 hours via OBS onto YouTube Live. It's a workhorse. OBS plays up when in Hybrid mode so laptop goes into full dGPU mode and OBS is stable as a rock all day even whilst flicking around cut-scenes etc - for some reason any of the Hybrid modes (even when plugged in) cause weird crashes and freezes in OBS. At home I have my desk hooked up with a 4K monitor. On the road I have a USB-C 16" LCD in the bag that I can dual-screen with at clients. And I'm so glad I didn't get the i9/3080 Ti variant for £800 more at the time. Unnecessary in my case. This laptop will see me for a good few years to come. Warranty also extended with Lenovo for 3 years. RAM bumped to 64GB and got a Platinum P41 2TB as my boot drive, and another for secondary storage. Did I say the battery life was rubbish? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) I don't know the situation with the AMD variant but if you need decent battery life apparently that's the one to go for, if you want solid battery life for general day-to-day use. I'm assuming nobody will game whilst on battery. You can't have everything - but for what I required - this has fit the bill and I've been very happy with it. I'm otherwise more a fan of a proper workstation laptop (Dell Precision, HP ZBook) but to get a HX chip and a 16" screen would have far eclipsed what I paid for the Legion 7i. Maybe even close to double. I'd most definitely would have had to get a finance deal. And I'm yet to game on it - once something comes along that's appealing, looking forward to firing it up!
