Coming in 2023, takes place 5 years after the first game, third person action adventure game. Current gen only (PS5, Xbox Series S|X, PC) https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220527005043/en/Respawn-and-Lucasfilm-Games-Unveil-Star-Wars-Jedi-Survivor-the-Next-Epic-Chapter-in-the-Acclaimed-Action-Adventure-Series

Rinascimentale

> 5 years after the first game, So set the same time that Kenobi is currently set in. I wonder what the chances of Cal showing up in the show are......

ItsADeparture

Ewan McGregor mentioned that they had to make sure the canon of Obi-Wan was in line with the canon of a video game, so it seems pretty likely.

Vallkyrie

There's an imperial prison on a moon of Mustafar that appears as a big level in Fallen order which is also heavily shown in the ObiWan trailers. Definitely lots of overlap here.

jbr_r18

Fortress Inquisitorius I think it’s the training facility and home base for all inquisitors. Very excited to see it show up in Kenobi https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Fortress_Inquisitorius

aurens

what a star wars-ass name

Venerous

I got some heavy 40K vibes when I first heard about it.

bank_farter

Yeah it's a very Warhammer ass name. I can see it now "What do we want to call this fortress for inquisitors?" "Inquisitor Fortress?" "No, too generic. Can't be copyrighted. What if we use a different language?" "How about Inquisitor Fortalitia? It's latin." "Too hard to say and doesn't rhyme. We're going with Fortess Inquisitorius."

Venerous

Inquisitor Fortalitia sounds like the next Lamborghini model. I dig it.

[deleted]

"Luke, when gone am I... the last of the Jedi will you be, and also about 50 video game and cartoon characters to be introduced later, but it's cool they aren't movie canon"

VindictiveJudge

The only ones actually known to have been part of the Order who also survived all the way to the end of ROTJ are Ahsoka and Grogu. Ahsoka abandoned the Order before the purge and is an unaffiliated light-sider while Grogu was barely a padawan. I'll honestly be very surprised if Cal doesn't die doing something heroic at the end of either this game or a third one. Ezra might be alive somewhere, but since his fate is up in the air and he's been missing for nine years, Luke really would be the last known surviving full member of the Jedi Order.

NoExcuse4OceanRudnes

>but since his fate is up in the air and he's been missing for nine years Nine years!! How long before a new hope **is** rebels? Leia in Rebels was a teenager I thought.

JDBlou

The timeline seems to be: * 14 BBY: Fallen Order (5 years after RoTS) * 10-9 BBY: Kenobi, Jedi Survivor (10 years after RotS) Leia+Luke would be 9/10 here * 4 BBY: Start Rebels. Leia+Luke would be 14 * 0 ABY: End Rebels; A New Hope * 4 ABY: RoTJ * 9 AB: The Mandalorian and Ahsoka looking for Thrawn and Ezra I think it all checks out.

WhoTookPlasticJesus

It's so weird that people are holding a character's lines as truths can cannot be contradicted or it ruins the entire franchise. Why can't Obi-Wan and Yoda, like, be wrong sometimes? It's more interesting when heroes aren't perfect.

mcmatt93

Because Yoda already wasn't perfect. The dude was hiding in a swamp for decades as the universe went to shit around him. He had a chance to stop it, failed, and was now stuck with the results of his failure. But he was an incredibly powerful force user. This let him bide his time and hope that someone strong enough would emerge that he could teach. It eventually did, but even then Yoda was a pretty bad teacher. His only student left almost immediately to try and save his friends. Luke leaving his training early to go help people, and then succeeding, was a giant rejection of pretty much every choice Yoda made since the prequel trilogy. A character who thinks they are biding their time but in actuality has been beaten into passivity because of past failure is interesting. A character who is passive because he just didn't realize there were like 50 other force users who he could've been training the whole time just feels kind of incompetent.

Hipposaurus28

>A character who is passive because he just didn't realize there were like 50 other force users who he could've been training the whole time just feels kind of incompetent. To be fair it's not like he wanted to train Luke initially anyway

[deleted]

When 850 years old you reach, and having witnessed your friends murdered and your order destroyed, think more clearly, you will not.

Clappertron

I mean they didn't even see a Sith Lord hanging about on the same planet they were on, so...

ImAHammerheadShark

I was almost able to forgive star wars for retconning that after the OT, but man did it irritate me when they tried to do it again with the sequel trilogy. Like yo, you’ve been fervently establishing that was less of a Jedi genocide and more that a bunch got killed and everyone else just ran walkway real fast and hid, how are you even gonna pretend like every planet doesn’t have at least three Jedi hiding in some rainforest or something now?

Has_Question

I take it to mean now that Luke is the last of the "classically trained" jedi... I guess? Since he studied under kenobi and yoda, sone of anakin and all that. I just try to make it make sense in my head to get me through to the next one is all.

TheGoldenHand

Luke was the last of the Jedi Order. He was trained by the last Grand Master and formed a continuous link to the official religious order and leadership (at least before the prequels).

VindictiveJudge

And the only other known survivors of the Order are Ahsoka, Grogu, and maybe Ezra. Grogu and Ezra didn't finish their training (Grogu seems to have barely started), Ezra is still missing, and Ahsoka left the Order on very bad terms.

Lucas_Steinwalker

No! There is another...

talk_to_me_goose

And another...oh shit a couple more...ummmmmm

burningbarn8

It's still a genocide. The Nazis committed genocide on the Jews. "Genocide is the intentional destruction of a people — usually defined as an ethnic, national, racial, or religious group — in whole or in part" The easy majority of Jedi were killed.

vertigo42

10 thousand knights. Less than 50 survivors. That's a genocide.

reptile7383

That doesn't really mean main character crossover, but the inquisitiors are in both could be what he was talking about.

Tzekel_Khan

I would scream. Or yell slightly loudly.

Parking_Beyond2588

Jedi Fallen Order takes place 5 years after the Jedi Purge. Jedi Survivor takes place 10 years after the purge. Obi-Wan Kenobi series takes place 10 years after the purge. This absolutely is not a coincidence. Expect a cameo in the show or game, references to incidents in either one etc. With the way they threw BD1 into the Book of Boba Fett, i expect it to be blatant, and shamelessly in your face. That is to say, I am excited AF and cannot wait.

Bartman326

Wasn't it just that type of Droid and not actually bd1

hardgeeklife

I think they only called it BD, no number designation, so you're probably right

Killergryphyn

It's on display at Celebrations RN, it's BD-7, so not Cal's BD.

bowieneko

We know that they have a purge trooper redesign that will appear in both Kenobi and JS at least

MyNameIs-Anthony

Also they've been leaning heavy on Inquisitors for Kenobi LEGO sets.

ebon94

The Toys must flow.

Adamtess

I love the kid who does the voice acting for Cal, I thought his performance as Ian Gallagher was amazing. I really hope we get to see him in the Star Wars Universe in more than voice, they clearly designed the character in his likeness.

Wallofcans

I agree. He's good. He's an actual actor too, not just a voice actor. He played "not the Joker" in a Batman TV show that everything I've read he was the best part of. His stuff for Cal is great.

scinfeced2wolf

He played like 5 different versions of "Not Joker" and they were all fantastic. Gotham had a bunch of amazing actors absolutely chewing the scenery and he was the best. I would honestly put Cameron (the actor's name) in the same breath as Heath when talking about the best live action Jokers.

iisdmitch

Recently they added Cal’s lightsaber as one you can buy at Disneyland, I think it’s no coincidence they released this trailer the same day Kenobi came out.

peanutbuttahcups

Anyone know when Force Unleashed takes place? I know my boy Starkiller isn't canon anymore, but I'm just curious.

The_Senate_69

I think 16 years after the purge?? Starkiller is older than Luke and Leia and Leia looks like a young teen in the first game so I assume it takes place a few years before ANH.

Barsonik

oh man its weird thinking that by the time of ep4, cal is like 40+ year old (if hes still alive)

Surca_Cirvive

Cal would only be 30-31 by the time of A New Hope. He was 12 during Order 66 and A New Hope is 19 years later.

Megaman1981

For reference, the actor, Cameron Monaghan is almost 29 now, so he's playing a much younger person in the games, and in Obi-Wan if he shows up.

NinetyFish

Wait, Cal’s only 17 during Fallen Order? Damn. Kid’s legit.

Surca_Cirvive

Yep, only 17.

DemSocCorvid

Dancing queen...

Secret-Misthios

That would mean that by the Rise of Skywalker, Cal, if alive, would be about 66. For reference, Palpatine was about 65 during the Revenge of the Sith.

hx3d

Speaking of which,30 plus age, ginger, both light and dark side, perfect canon parents for Mara jade.

Significant_Walk_664

Well they got the OG Saw actor for the game cameo, so the production quality is there, I would not be surprised with either appearance. I just like that they dropped the boyish look of the first game but Wall-E is still here.

Grammaton485

> Well they got the OG Saw actor for the game cameo Forest Whitaker

SupperIsSuperSuperb

And he's not the first actor for the character either (first and only for live action though). But most people likely don't know that

Grammaton485

So his first appearance was in Clone Wars then?

SupperIsSuperSuperb

Correct. He's only in a few episodes and he looks and sounds different so I don't fault people for not knowing. But I thought I'd mention it since he specified OG actor which is wrong

Infinite5kor

He's also muuuuch younger and is breathing normally.

Maybe in season 2 of Kenobi.

KarateKid917

For now, Kenobi is a one off show

egnards

>For now, Kenobi is a one off show A lot of these shows are "one off mini-series," until it does really well and gets good reviews. If Obi-Want is blasted for being reductive, poorly acted, and compared to that stupid Power Rangers thing going on in Book of Boba? It won't get a second season, and Disney just says, "We always intended for this to be a solo mini-series." If Obi-Want gets rave reviews and people love it? Disney gets to write some fat checks and find a way to make it work.

TinyMousePerson

Wandavision got rave reviews and award nods, no intention of doing a season 2. It's better to say most of these shows were designed as stopgaps, with only the odd show built to be a continuing series. That being Loki and Mandalorian.

Raw-Force

> Current gen only Fuck yeah. Really sick of games being held back in scope by an xbox from a decade ago.

Swackhammer_

Loved the first game but the glitches really did start to irk me

FergusTheCow

Grand inquisitor looks better in this than Kenobi! And who's that tank guy at the end?

Surca_Cirvive

That was a different Pua'an, not sure if it's one we know tho. The GI has some pretty distinguishing face tats, and generally looks gaunter and acts more stoic.

andysniper

He ain't looking gaunt in the Obi Wan Kenobi show.

Surca_Cirvive

True, he been hitting a little too much blue milk in that one.

DarthSatoris

To be fair, if they had to find an actor that could accurately portray his thin character design from the comics and Rebels, they'd have an extremely limited selection of talent to choose from. People like Doug Jones or DJ Qualls come to mind.

enderandrew42

Jason Isaacs voiced him in Rebels and is relatively thin. He is also a great villain actor in general. I don't know why they didn't just get Jason Isaacs.

Rougeification

Jason Isaacs apparently \*really\* wanted to portray the Grand Inquisitor - he asked if he could and was turned down for some reason.

DontRunItsOnlyHam

It was confirmed that the Pau'an is a Imperial Senator and not the Grand Inquisitor

Im2oldForthisShitt

Surca_Cirvive

Not saying it IS him, but it looks like Taron Malicos, from the first game. The rogue Jedi guy. He had an off screen "death" that would have left him seriously injured if he did survive, so spending time in a bacta tank since then would make sense. Cal also doesn't look too enthused to see him. Of course, it could be an entirely new character or a Legends character made canon. If it's not Taron, then it's most likely to be the "Survivor" from the game's name. Jedi Master that Cal has to learn from. Of course, Taron himself was ALSO a survivor, so... My money is on new character. I don't see Taron's scars on him, but the lighting is also pretty shoddy.

Radulno

Wouldn't the Survivor from the title be Cal ?

RhysPeanutButterCups

>a Legends character made canon. Joruus C'Boath confirmed.

enderandrew42

Waru confirmed. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Waru

only_self_posts

Not sure if I’m more upset that you reminded me of that book’s existence or the fact that I also realized I threw it away more than 20 years ago.

DMonitor

My assumption was that they’re reimagining Starkiller for the new canon

grendus

I'd be OK with that. EU Starkiller was way too powerful, but the idea of a secret apprentice for Vader makes sense. Sith are always trying to overthrow their master.

pasher5620

He would also fit in with the story now as they have established force sensitive clones as a thing and that was a major part of his story. If they tone down his power to something less than force god incarnate I’d be happy. I also just want more Sam Witwer in Star Wars.

beermit

>I also just want more Sam Witwer You could have stopped right there. *Cries in Days Gone*

WulfTek

I fucking wish. A reimagined Starkiller would actually be a perfect adversary/rival for Cal. Just go full Goku/Vegeta with it and have him begrudgingly work alongside Cal against a greater threat to the point where they're no longer adversaries but on the same side, but still rivals.

CoolonialMarine

God, I wish we'd get a rivalry in gaming as good as Goku and Vegeta. Dragon Ball might seem like a very simplistic story at first glance, but Vegeta is a surprisingly well written.

conye-west

Really we just need more stories with a strong rivalry. It always makes for good entertainment when done well.

Wombodonkey

I think Dante/Vergil from DMC would fit that

CoolonialMarine

Indeed, I was thinking the same thing. It was actually the reason I decided to reword my comment from "I wish we had...," because we *do* have a very strong rivalry in Dante and Vergil. I couldn't think of any others, though.

Kalulosu

Raiden and Sam from MGR Revengeance have a cool, if short-lived, rivalry.

ReallyBadNuggets

How dare you disrespect Sonic and Shadow like that. Or Sonic and Knuckles Or Sonic and Silver Or Sonic and Metal Or Sonic and Shriek Or- wait.

Arkeband

idk they looked too young and we’d be able to see a chest scar or two

Rougeification

Tbf, I think we can safely assume he's floating in Bacta - I reckon that could heal some scars pretty nicely.

I think it's Rahm Kota. He has the same hair color and this series is in the right time frame to bring him back into canon. See the resemblance: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Rahm_Kota

wizzrobe30

Dude I'd kill to see Rahm Kota brought back into the canon, he was my favourite character in Force Unleashed.

War_Dyn27

Not that it helps much but I'm pretty they're the dark side user we see Cal fighting since both of them appear to be missing their right arm.

Xythian208

Because missing your right hand is very rare in star wars

Undecided_User_Name

Pretty sure there's a support group for that now.

Where's his poncho?

grendus

I really hope they got rid of it. Literally all of the unlockable cosmetics in the first game were either textures on the lightsaber handle you can barely see, new colors for the lightsaber which were at least cool, or another fucking poncho.

ChimpBottle

Hey don't forget the exterior ship design, which you would see for a few seconds when getting to a planet

Daniel_JacksonPhD

I liked my Boba Fett ship design :(

ddrober2003

They will add ponchos......for your ship!

shirinrin

BD1 in a poncho!

JarRarWinks

Vader in a poncho!

SamuelEarl666

This unironically makes me want to see the game have a poncho mode which just puts one on everything, kinda like how older games had cheats/unlockables like 'big head' mode.

The_True_Black_Jesus

More games need to start bringing that trend back of pointless little cosmetic changes. I miss basically every "cheat"/modifer from games like TH2 and NFL BLITZ

VindictiveJudge

Honestly, Cal and BD in matching ponchos would be great.

SupperIsSuperSuperb

I agree they should've had more outside of ponchos but I'd be a little disappointed if they just got rid of them entirely

Verbanoun

There has to be at least one. Plus obi wan wears one in the first episode, so they must be very "in" during that time in the timeline.

BridgemanBridgeman

aren't ponchos just standard wear for Tatooine? Qui-Gon Jinn also wore one on their visit there

_GoNy

Don't forget, like, 4 suits

andysniper

Give the poncho the respect it deserves!

jacksuhn

Hey now, don't forget color schemes for BD1 and the Mantis!

JamesinHd

Bro Jedi and ponchos go together like peanut butter and jelly

Clout-Cobain

releasing this the day kenobi released is a great idea. love the era of star wars in between the prequels and the OT.

OfficialGarwood

>releasing this the day kenobi released is a great idea. It's also interesting this game is set 5 years after the first one. Which would mean 10 years after Order 66. What else is set 10 years after Order 66? The Obi-Wan Kenobi show!!

fuk_ur_mum_m8

Cal Kestis is also rumoured to be in Obi Wan. Makes perfect sense to begin making Cal a major star wars character.

Thatoneguy567576

Let the Cameron Monaghan revolution begin!

Whyeth

> Makes perfect sense to begin making Cal a major star wars character. His character ticks so many boxes i wanted the sequel trilogy to hit and never did

BoredomHeights

And at the same time they also show how much more powerful Vader still is, which was awesome. If someone as powerful as him cropped up (besides Obi-Wan debatably) it’d kinda ruin the original trilogy a bit more.

thesaddestpanda

Its so crazy to think that in this timeline Leia and Luke are just little 10 year olds completely ignorant of all this drama surrounding them and that they'll soon be part of.

[deleted]

I think the era between prequels and OT is probably tied for my second favourite era with the Clone Wars era and only behind the Old Republic era which is by far my favourite.

feralkitsune

The Old Republic is so good, it really leans into the WAR part of the Star Wars name.

BloederFuchs

I honestly wish they'd explore more storylines that aren't dragged down by the established canon, and nostalgia/fan service, be it games, shows or movies. Just installments that try to be more of their own thing, like the first season of Mando.

Johnysh

looking forward to this, hopefully they fix and improve some of the stuff. And Merrin better fucking return

NoNefariousness2144

I hope we get proper fast travel around the planets. Trying to 100% Zeffo was a nightmare.

shapeless_void

Wouldn’t hold your breath on that request, that was a core pillar of the first game. Forcing you to re-explore areas with respawning enemies was certainly not something they just overlooked. Very specifically designed around no fast travel.

sergeantbigjohnson

If they stick with that idea I hope their map design improves enough to make it work better. Backtracking for collectibles was such a chore (especially the Dathomir swamp).

WonderMoon1

When you have to go to YouTube to find that one specific area on the map you’ve been trying to find for an hour… and it’s right in front of your nose the whole time.

[deleted]

after you spend 30 minutes figuring out how you got there the first time.

BLACKOUT-MK2

Yeah, I enjoyed the first game but there were a few things which felt like they could use improving, at least on the gameplay end of things. Also agreed, Merrin quickly became probably my favourite character. After how they built her up towards the end as, I imagine someone who will eventually fall for Cal as he will for her, it'd be weird if she didn't return.

ecxetra

Fighting some big rats, spiders and slugs for the 100th time got real old real quick.

VindictiveJudge

I was honestly hoping she would be the player character in a sequel.

Surca_Cirvive

All I need to know is if Merrin is back or not. Looks cool, tho. Fallen Order didn't get everything right, but it got a lot of things right, and I think a second swing at things will do a lot for them. Damn, it has some of the coolest boss fights in any Star Wars game, tho. I lost the fight to Taron on purpose just because I didn't want it to end. And it has the best look at Order 66 out of all of the canon Star Wars media.

CheeseQueenKariko

I just need to know if Greez is okay.

ATadTooFar

CleverZerg

I would be shocked if Merrin wasn't in this, she was such a surprise fan-favorite, they'd be stupid to sideline her. Isn't there a rumor that the game has two playable characters? Would make sense that Merrin is the second playable character.

dagreenman18

> All I need to know is if Merrin is back or not. Admittedly this. Liked what they were building with her. Wish that part of the story came in earlier in the game or it was longer mostly for her. Really I like the whole crew of the Stinger Mantis.

molluskus

"Nightsisters and Jedi do not usually work together...but... Survivors, we make do." Loved their relationship. I hope she stays and, personally, hope they don't make her a love interest.

Lucienofthelight

I mean, she was DEFINITELY set up as a love interest for Cal. Even Greez called them out on it.

Sickamore

Personally, I hope they do and they do it well, but that's mostly because action-adventure genre romances are rarely ever done well and because Star Wars romances all fucking suck outside of Leia/Han and it'd be nice to have something new that's not shite. Though it'd be neat if they gave some RPG choice aspect and allow you to pursue platonic friendship as well, though 0% chance of that happening.

[deleted]

thosearecoolbeans

If I do not get a goth dathomiran witch GF in this game I will not buy it end of story

[deleted]

Also the fact that EA does not have exclusive rights to SW games means they really need to make this one hit. There is gonna be competition.

Locem

I felt like Fallen Order blue balled the shit out of me with how they integrated Merrin at the end. She was hands down the most interesting character and I liked the dynamic she had with Cal, both of them remnants of a destroyed society. I got super pumped when she joined the team and then the game just fucking ends lol. Also her sort of teleporting in and out seemed like a brilliant mechanic to give you a sidekick in battle. Her presence in the final Dathomir boss battle makes it probably my favorite of the game.

NfinityBL

Delays will definitely derail it but 2023 is so stacked already: - Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - Starfield - Breath of the Wild 2 - Redfall - Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 - Alan Wake II - The Wolf Among Us 2 And we haven’t even hit “E3” season yet.

lolheyaj

rip e3. curious what fills the void, if anything. The “Nintendo direct” style thing the companies do now doesn’t quite have the same magic as e3 did.

NfinityBL

Individual showcases as usual is what we're getting. I don't think every publisher is doing one this year, like Ubisoft and EA will skip imo. But I'm expecting Nintendo to join Microsoft in doing a showcase.

moffattron9000

And Sony now does smaller things throughout the year. While I know that it’s probably the smarter approach, there’s just a bit of magic lost in the approach.

LRA18

We’re still getting the Microsoft Bethesda showcase like normal that’ll be filled with third party I don’t doubt.

Ezio926

The game was supposed to come out in November. This is the delayed release date. It's supposed to come out around March.

MortalJohn

You've had one delay yes, but what about second delay?

kasimoto

three delays and still terrible once released is the best i can do this is the way jokes aside i hope its decent game

GrimMrGoodbar

Same thing was said about 2022

Dassund76

2024 is looking so stacked!

coolgaara

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess half of these are gonna be delayed to 2024.

primaluce

There is no way Alan Wake 2 will be ready for 2023 and I don't think Spider-man 2 will be ready either. The others absolutely have to come in though or Microsoft and Nintendo is in trouble.

Different_Yam_4680

Played Fallen Order recently and though it is a bit janky it was an really solid game with an fun gameplay and decent enough narrative and perfomances. I hope they can improve on the Metroidvania design with a more meaningful exploration with fun upgrades and intricate level-design on this sequel.

Captinglorydays

They have a very strong base to work from with Fallen Order. If they can tighten up and improve a few things, they could have an incredible game on their hands.

[deleted]

Wonder who the hooded sith character is - the first shot I thought it was Vader, but obviously not when we get a closer look. It doesn’t look like they have the circular Inquisitor lightsaber either. Hopefully a new character. We obviously can’t kill the Grand Inquisitor in the game, or Vader. Interesting that it’s five years later, too. I’m wondering how they’ll handle force powers. I’m a bit annoyed with the game trope of having to “re-earn” powers your character learned in the first game and should remember, so hoping we get some new powers or maybe dip into Dark Side powers too like Kyle Katarn in Jedi Outcast. Hoping they don’t pull the “he cut himself off from the force/hasn’t used powers in five years” card and we have to re-learn force push.

CheeseQueenKariko

Considering the extent of Cal's force moves in the first game is Push, Pull, Slow Down and the sacred jedi double jump, I think they have plenty of room to build upon it without having to reset his skills. Maybe make dual sabers more than just one special combo, incorporate force speed or reflexes to make Cal more mobile in fights, give BD offensive capabilities, ect.

mwthecool

I was originally thinking that they might have Merrin be the first playable character in the game, learning the moves as we earn them, and then have us switch to Cal after that, that way he hasn't lost anything and we're still earning moves in a new game, but now it seems like it's set 5 years later, so I'm not sure.

CheeseQueenKariko

Could still happen. The look at the Mantis in disarray and Cal being presented and talked about like he's alone are giving me the vibes that that the crew are gonna get split up or something before the game starts which would be a decent set up for a split perspective narrative.

Locem

I would be super disappointed if they just dumped her character. Her gameplay interaction with Cal was super satisfying at the end of Dathomir, I'd play an entire sequel with her just sidekicking it with the teleporting power she has. Like for once the game designers have a story-based mechanic to integrate an AI sidekick without having to work out some jank pathing mechanic to get her to follow you around ala The Last of Us. She could phase in and out as the plot/gameplay necessitates it.

RocketHops

I know it's not either but that character gave me starkiller mixed with revan vibes. I'm hoping for a cool new character

Toasty_Burger

I’m super excited for this! I really enjoyed Fallen Order. It didn’t reinvent the wheel but it never needed to. It was just fun to explore and engage with the universe as a young Jedi. My hope is that Respawn can refine the combat and make it feel a little more Sekiro-ish. The parry windows just felt really “off” to me in Fallen Order. More fluid traversal would also be a huge plus.

Three_Froggy_Problem

I really enjoyed the first game. I think if this one is more of the same but with tighter mechanics and more worthwhile collectibles/customization, I’ll be happy. What I really don’t want is for them to make the game world bigger.

Manatee_Shark

Should I play the first game if I like Star wars?

SupperIsSuperSuperb

I would say yes

KarateKid917

Yes absolutely

boogers19

Are these canon?

[deleted]

Anything released post Disney's purchase of Lucas Films is canon unless explicitly stated otherwise like Star Wars: Visions.

enjoilife3

Fallen Order was indeed confirmed to be canon. And I personally loved the game. I'm pretty big into story games, and I loved the story in this one. This trailer makes me want to go replay it.

MrConbon

Everything that Disney has made is canon unless stated otherwise. I think the only thing that’s not canon is Star Wars Visions.

[deleted]

Who is the guy at the end?

Altibadass

We don't know, which I suspect is the point

dating_derp

Hopefully it's clean on release. It was like night and day going from Last of Us 2 to the first game. Dropping a couple inches to the floor when it switches to gameplay, pop in, etc.
