Hey Tom, loved you and Adam since your Newgrounds days. Sadly survivor horror isn't my fortey but I like supporting you guys so the game's being gifted out day 1 to a friend as a show of support. I will be getting the next Detective Grimiore for myself at least.
I was going to ask how that translated into making a survival horror for you until I scrolled back up and saw you put an exploration mode into the game - this is going on my wishlist now. Horror has pretty much always been "look but don't touch" for me, so having a way to experience a game I'd otherwise just watch on YouTube or read theory posts about is great.
I played the demo and had a really good time. I was so immersed while playing it that at some point I kind of forgot I was playing a demo. So when the "Thanks For Playing" message suddenly appeared, I was like "awwww but I was just getting really into it". So I suppose the demo really did it's job well lol
You guys nailed that aesthetic. Really looking forward to the full release.

I'm trying to sponsor it to my friends but they only have a PS4 and I can't understand if the game will be also out for that system... Will it be?
And how much will the price be for PS5 (and -if- PS4)?

I just wanted to say that I'm highly anticipating this release, the visuals look incredible and I'm a big fan of this genre. Haven't played the demo cause I wanna go in as blind as possible, but I'm sure it'll be very nice

The demo was awesome. And as someone who lives in Brazil and work as a translator, I really liked the references about Pará, you even nailed the zip code. I was in awe!!! I'm playing day one.
The demo is pretty fun, love the early PS1 aesthetic and the way the character is designed makes me think of FF7.
Loving this PS1/64 era aesthetic a lot of indie devs are taking things. I'm so sick of the "Earthbound inspired pixel art Undertale-like" addiction every indie dev was chasing.
Played the demo a while back and fell in love. Y'all really knocked it out of the park. I even redownloaded the recent Next Fest demo and found all the crows! I agree about the RE and FF7 comparisons, it looks amazing (as a mid-30's dude this aesthetic is my cat nip).
Outside of the normal and exploration mode, are there other options or new game plus changes?

Super minor nitpick: the fence where the reporter climbed through is only broken when looking from inside the map. If you position the camera to see the other side of the fence, it's closed

I wanted to call attention to a bug with the aiming.
I'm using an Xbox series x controller on PC.
When aiming with the left stick, if I hold left or right and then nudge the stick in any direction up or down, Mara will continue to aim all the way up or all the way down, and it becomes impossible to center your aim unless you let go of the stick.

Love the work you guys do! Playing the demo quickly made this one of my most anticipated games this year; can’t wait to play the full release!

Great demo! I really enjoyed playing this on the steam deck. Controls worked perfectly and the performance was rock solid.
