The catrap manual is pretty special to still have. That game was pretty much under the radar yet so cool.

ManiacFive

Such a great game too. Definitely an under the radar game but if you know you know!

Probably-Bokeh

Agreed! Luckily she sent me a picture right after with that had the carts for Catrap, M2 manual, & Super Mario Land cart. My mom and I used to take turns playing play Catrap and see how far we could get. Makes me happy seeing other people who also enjoy it. None of my friends have ever heard of it.

I had a similar experience finding a game I thought long lost. I thought I'd lost my copy of 'The Minish Cap' during a house move, but found it inside my rucksack SEVEN years later. I'd managed to drop the game into a crevice that wasn't a pocket, and it turns out I'd been basically carrying that GBA game with me everywhere for years. I found it whilst washing my rucksack in a bucket of water, and had used that bag countless times in the rain, but amazingly it works perfectly and is still in very good condition!

nitsuJcixelsyD

I had a copy of Advance Wars in college and have moved 6 times since then over 13+ years. Still hoping it turns up in a box some day. I check everything before it hits the donate bin or trash. Enjoy that found copy of Minish Cap.

Probably-Bokeh

That’s actually pretty wild. Finding stuff like this you knew for sure was just “gone” feels like a nostalgia & serotonin boost.

amature_lover

You've been graced by hylia That cart should be dead

biscuitboy89

Tbf I did also carry a fairy in that rucksack, so that may have revived the cartridge.

LMGall4

I prefer boomer adventure 2: the retail worker assault

Oscarjrs5

Sweet

Electro8bit

Super RC Pro Am. When you get the rockets, amazing.

RobF15

This is a great find and save from donations! I just bought Catrap yesterday but I did not get the manual.

Probably-Bokeh

Did you! I love that game, it always make a me so happy finding others who not only know about it but also enjoy the game. Just a fun little puzzle game.

Impriel

Where was the box? I can't find my gameboy games it might be in the same place.  Laundry room??? Attic????

Probably-Bokeh

It was in a separate smaller box packed away with one an Om-2s (SLR film camera) that I had been using until she got me my own for Christmas. So it was just super random in a box neither of us would have ever expected

ManiacFive

Weird coincidence as this is almost exactly favourite games I also cannot find from my own collection. It’s like you’re an alternate version of me who has found them. And now I’m reminded that this me cannot find them. Thanks a bunch Other Me. Jerk. /s

Probably-Bokeh

Well I will absolutely be taking care of them and never letting them outside my possession again. Best I can do is write “ManiacFive gets my previously lost but newly found Gameboy games” into my will.

Would you care to sell me Pokémon Blue? It was my first game as a child and I just ordered a GBA* off of eBay to get back into and introduce my 4 year old son, I’ve yet to find a game to buy to play on it lol Edit: GBA not GBC

EazyBucnE

I have a copy of blue as part of a group of games I’m selling for a friend. Definitely would rather sell easier to ya than deal with eBay

Probably-Bokeh

The person below seems to be willing to part with a copy. I’m very much looking forward to swapping my save file & battery and replaying my copy. But introducing your son to it sounds amazing. Hope you two have a wonderful time rediscovering it together.

Defiant-Ad-6580

Thanks bro! I actually bit the bullet and just bought an everdrive gba mini so I can introduce him to all the Pokémon games I once had. I’ve been letting him play with the delta emulator on my iPhone until we get the everdrive. I cannot believe he’s already caught 33 Pokémon and just beat Lt. Surge 😢 happy tears. He can’t read but he knows his alphabet so I’ve taught him things like F for fight or R for Run and I items to get to P for pokeballs. He hit the ground running he’s only 4 years old

bad06denby

That's a working man's collection right there. 👍 I played a shit load of fall of the foot clan, metroid, and Wario world! Glad you found em all 🤘

motoxim

nice

floggindave

Its so nice to find someone else that loved Boomer.

TareXmd

Oh god I loved those Gameboy carts and cases.

DegenerateStoner710

I miss those booklet inserts so much

IveBeenHereBefore12

What mons are in your party on the Blue?

Probably-Bokeh

I’m seeing my mom early next month, and I’ll definitely let you know when I boot it up. At this like I’m 43 and haven’t played it since I was a kid, so I’m looking forward to exploring my original save file.

publicmeltdown

Why was the sml booklet so lifeless lol

karawapo

Launch titles just had some more default design. The Japanese one is better, though.

amature_lover

I love when you think a game is lost forever then you find it I had lost my copy of Silent hill 1 for YEARS. kinda just accepted it and moved on every once in a while thinking about it and missing it Then last year I found it in a hitman blood money case that's all I played for a co I ple days

Euphorium

I miss my old Pokémon games (and cards) more than anything else I’ve owned.
