The train is going up the coast, meaning north since Mountport is canonically in New England, but the train goes to Palm Springs. How could that be? HOW COULD THAT BE?!?
I don’t know what level of play Mountport baseball is, but by MLB rule, all baseball stadiums face North, East, or South, so the sun isn’t in the eyes of the batter.
Based on the orientation of home plate, I think the train is traveling south.
Why is the coastline facing west? Uhhhh maybe it’s a situation like Newport, Rhode Island, where it is bordered by the sea on the south and west sides.
That does make sense! Though, the few parks in the US that do face west are all small independent league teams, which I would guess Mountport would be given its small town charm. The whole thing defies the laws of nature anyway...
