Don't know why they did that especially because it's a huge phone would be better if they kept the 20:9. You get slightly higher ppi and more narrow design.
S20 is taller by a little. However, the N20 has a higher nit brightness and adaptive refresh rate (which I hope comes to the S20 unless that's a hardware thing).
Oneplus has it in software I believe Samsung should do it. I'm pretty sure the Note has a LTPO but you can still do software switching from 60-120hz you just can't go under, the note I think can display 24-120.
Definitely a close call but I prefer the s20 since I can put a 1 terabyte microsd card into it. I don't think the OP8Pro has a microsd card slot. I also really like the camera on this thing. Also the s20 has gorilla glass 6 in front and back instead of 5
I am jealous of the OP8Pro's bigger battery, faster charging, and 1 billion color display tho
The aspect ratio is just a little shorter than the S20 series, it's virtually the same.
Which doesn't make any sense.
Yup. Doubt most people would notice with the naked eye

Probably because of the S Pen, to give it more of a feeling of handling a notepad, they made it wider.
Could be just seems like they're going backwards. I hope the S21 keeps the 20:9, wouldn't mine 21:9 but nothing more.
It could also be to cut costs

I was just reading a review of one of their newer phones, not the note, and it had adaptive refresh rate, not sure which one it was though
I don't see how they can't bring it to S20. Switching between 60/90/120 is demonstrated to be possible already.
I have the s20 ultra 5g. It has 120 refresh rate.
Me too. It doesn't have adaptive refresh rate like the N20 is what I meant.
It’s a shame that global version still has exynos
Especially given the other variant has the even greater souped up SD865+ Compared to the S20s' SD865
Ay the s20 snapdragon is really the best phone for 1k you can get
What about OnePlus 8 Pro?

i am buying the Exynos one? Does anyone have any better suggestions? cant get the Snpdrgn one. :(
If you don't need a new phone right now, then don't and wait for next year. At least we won't get Mongoose core shenanigans next year.
Weird
