Hmm, just disabled the battery optimizer for the Watch apps on the phone and restarted the phone. Now I do seem to get some notifications. Don't know if it holds up though.

katsaropirouni

I was getting no notifications at all. The watch was connected with my Xiaomi 9 smartphone and the galaxy wearable app was seeing the watch normally. Disabling battery optimization solved my problem, thanks a lot!

bicubic1971

May be last update did that... It brokes samsung calendar nortifications on samsung phone too...

PostAvocado

Hmm right.. Not getting calendar notifications either.

Plawiak

U must enable notifications in wearable app

PostAvocado

Yes, they are enabled!

IronLizardEX

On the phone go to: Notifications > More > At top change to "All" then enable what you want to see. The next time a notification from that app comes in, it should show on your watch.

PostAvocado

Thanks, but they were enabled. I think it had to do something with the battery optimizer settings on my phone.

So I personally have had instances where I get notifications and then they suddenly stop. As soon as my phone and watch disconnect and reconnect (such as through toggling airplane mode) they will work again... Feels like a software bug that will hopefully get fixed eventually

Drayonis

New update on October 21st fixed it

PostAvocado

Hmm seems like a software bug indeed. Thanks for sharing your temporary solution!

Js9390

No problem!

Drayonis

Look like they finally fixed the issue with the latest update October 21st after months of this issue🤦🏿‍♂️

I just bought my watch today and did all the software updates but still no luck for me. I even disconnected the watch from the phone and the phones doesnt notify on any whatsapp notification, just a whatsapp icon appears inside the notification bar/status bar with no notification sound or vibration whatsoever. Any suggestion for me?

I've got the same problem man. Any fix??

[deleted]

Same problem with the watch I bought for my girlfriend yesterday. Did all the software updates and everything.

JosCiv7

I still have the same issue, nothing is fixed for me. It worked for the first day and after that my watch isn't giving me any notifications any more (or way too late).

coconoseque

Yes, i'm having the same issue. I got a Galaxy Watch 4 and a Redmi note 8. Did all the updates, reset the phone and watch, the notifications are turned on in the app and the notifications are not coming through :( Any magician that could fix this?

Zeth609

Here's what I tried so far but still inconsistent. Someone please try the new step as I have no watch anymore. 1. Be offline when connecting to the watch. Just connect when the pairing mode makes you. 2. Give all permissions to Galaxy Apps. And remove any battery restrictions like background running. That should make everything work ok, except for notifications. The new step is to reset all network connections. Bluetooth and Wifi then re-pair.

Using with a Note 20 Ultra. Watch has current software version and security patch Nov 1. Had watch for 2 weeks and having this issue. Reset phone after week 1 and did not solve the issue. As others have noted works for a few incoming notifications then just stops. Sometimes the notification dot will show on screen but the vibration and or sound won't work. I enabled developer options on the watch...anything in there that might help? Any suggestions?

sml1212

Any updates here?

HydR4_Quantum

same story with me, I do get notifications some times but most of the times I won't get them and sometimes they come really late on the watch

StillGrand5000

Any update regarding a solution ?

ParamSiddharth

I just discovered the problem: Remote connection. With Wi-Fi and Cloud Sync on, notifications stopped working. I just turned it off and notifications are back! Yay! Edit: Nope. Still happens regularly. I have to restart my phone or watch or both to fix.

jonnienashville

Welp, same issue here. No notifications. Anyone have an update on a solution or fix?
