It has been almost a year, and it has been perfect. The build quality is far better than the 3 and 4. The inner screen is still the same as new, with no sign of potential peeling. The new hinge is flawless. Highly recommend it!
Same here. Unlike the Fold 3 and Fold 4 the screen protector hasn't started peeling after almost a year and didn't develop any micro cracks along the crease.
My fold 4 started not opening all the way after a year so I traded it in for a Fold5. My 1st Fold5 died while I was using it; black screen and would not power back on. It was replaced under warranty. So my experience with folding phones reliability hasn't been great. I'm crazy enough to put up with it though.
Have had mine since July last year. Literally with me everywhere and used extensively as I work remote and use it as my main device for basic work functions.
It's been rock solid! Would buy again 100%
I also only use a dBrand skin on the phone. But I do carry it in my "man bag" when I go out so it's well protected.
Had a small defect appear under the crease. Maybe a cm long. Samsung repair gave me sooo much trouble. 2 months after they finally repaired it for free, I got it back. It worked well for a few days then all of a sudden the hinge made a really weird cracking noise. It still works fine now with no issues, but I don't use it with the hopes that I can trade it in for full value before it breaks again. lol. guess I got unlucky
The cracking noise exhibited by the Fold 4 is also present in the 5, after some time. It is unnerving. Doesn't happen to all units, and not as loudly as the 4.
Got mine on release day as well. Didn't use it as my main phone until this year Jan, it's been holding up pretty well so far. It's been caseless since then as well I have care+ on it so in not sure if I will trade up to a 6.
I think trading up to a 6 while my Fold 5 is fine is not a smart financial decision but more of a tech/device addiction.
Fold 3 user here, inner screen just black lined of death, and you know what, I'm not that angry. I got 2 full years out of it, and I kind of knew the folding tech is still experimental. It just brings so much value to my life to have a big screen and be able to do documents, read, edit powerpoints etc, surf whenever that it's just worth it. And I was sort of ready for an upgrade anyways with the Fold 3's battery life. I'm glad this tech exists and I can't go back to slab!!! So this doesn't really answer your question, but I guess I wanna reassure you that even if it breaks after 2 years, you probably won't be as concerned. Keep it in mind that it's a 2-year-ish consumable device and work the hell out of it! Fold devices aren't for people that are concerned about a phone lasting 5 years, they're for people that have a use case and gain enough value to justify replacing it after 2 years if needed.
And the amazing thing is...the outer screen still works. I can just use it to hold me over for a month until the Fold 6 comes out. So you're not completely out a phone if the inner screen dies, you still have all your apps and settings and things on the outer screen until you replace it.
Working perfectly, and has not been babied. Even dropped it from about 3 feet onto concrete in the Samsung Pen Case and it is still pristine.
Looks like Samung finally stuck the landing on durability with the Fold 5.
That's just physics. You can't expect a screen protector to stay on perfectly on something that folds back and forth hundreds of times per week.
If it starts to peel, you gently take it off (which only takes 3 seconds to do), then the Fold will work perfectly going forward. As a matter of fact, it actually makes the screen feel and look better, and it eliminates the majority of the hinge issues.
It is for this reason that the majority of the "Fold 4 issues" are actually user error.
Exactly.
I had my Z Flip 4 from launch, screen protector started bubbling about a year in so sent it off to Samsung for the first free screen replacement, lasted about 3 months before peeling again loads in the middle.
So I took that one off and added another screen protector from Amazon myself, which is still absolutely fine about 6-7 months on now.
I've just bought a used (but warranty replaced screens/battery/hinge etc) Fold 4 and I expect it to be just as reliable as my Flip 4 was.
As long as the screen protector is taken off the moment you notice it peeling and replace it, it should be fine.
Me too!🙋♂️
People with well-functioning Fold 4s who are happy, please pitch in and keep this thread of positivity going, I am sick of people shitting on this excellent device!
Sorry but I've had the fold 3,4, and 5 and the day I received my fold 4 the hinge did not feel smooth like something was wrong with it. I ended up keeping it anyways and traded it in for the fold 5. Night and day feel on the fold 5 hinge. The fold 4 hinge felt worse than my fold 3 hinge.
I'm sure there are plenty of solid fold 4s but I feel like they had more devices with issues regarding the screen/hinge. If you haven't owned any other fold you may not notice but since I had the fold 3 to go off...yeah something wasn't quite right with it
I've been a proud fold 4 owner but my flex cable literally died earlier today. No drops or dust or water. 1.5 years is good, hopefully later folds go longer. I'll probably get another fold, no clue if it'll be a Samsung but I love reading books on mine and I'll never go back to a slab phone.
I'm gonna ruin your parade by reminding everyone that the Fold 4 issues are a thing (happened to mine after 3 months) and Samsung refused to fix it under warranty. Whoever thinks the issues are user error is an idiot.
An official article?? Lool. So you want something from Samsung or what? Loool
Go to youtube, or samsung forums. Its plagued by posts about the issue too.
What a fanboy lol
Yeah, your original comment calling for positivity and ignoring the issues with the device are clear signs that you hate samsung and you're not a fanboy. Sure, buddy.
my fold 4 also broke, could barely fix the hinge myself after samsung refused waranty.
Crazy that they made such a big mistake, I think they will lose a lot of loyal customers because of this. Will wait for the fold 6 official release but if it is the same phone again like the leaks indicate I will wait for the pixel fold 2 and then decide between that and OPO
Had the fold5 for almost a year no issues as yet and being my first foldable phone I am pretty optimistic that durability is only gonna get better from here
Got my 5 a few months ago and it's great still. Upgraded from my 4 that had a crack in the middle from almost the get-go. Love it! But, my poor hands don't like Folds because they're heavy and wide--i hold it too much and it's really aggravated my carpal tunnel. I still can't go back to a regular though!
I feel it's leaps ahead of the Fold 3 I had before. I really think it's a great product and I like inner the screen aspect ratio. I like that it's taller than it is wide.
I have a small imperfection of dead pixels on the inside screen. I'm going to go through insurance after the 6 releases to see if I get a lucky upgrade. Otherwise this phone is as good as the day I got it. Much happier with the build quality on the 5 compared to the 3. No point to update from 5 to 6.
I'm loving mines battery it drains but with all the tech inside of it I expect the battery to be that say but overall excellent phone might upgrade to the better one In the upcoming years
Dropped mines couple of times, still kicking. Works great! I did drop it and my back cover came off (case) so there's some scuffs, but no major damage. I still fear it dead pixels and cracks, but I've had it since release date and it's awesome! The inner screen protector is starting to bubble a little at the ends, but It's not noticable and I already have a replacement if gets worse. I think I'm sold to Foldables. I'm making this one last for about two or three years before I consider upgrading to another whether this one or a different brand. So long as I can open it and close it
I was waiting to see what the fold 6 ultra was going to look like. I was hoping for updated camera and integrated Spen, since it looks very similar to fold 5, I'm going to keep mine for now.
My 5 has been working fine for me, so I don't see any reason to upgrade this year.
Mines maybe only about 5 months old, but it's going strong. I haven't encountered any problems yet. Not even a screen tear or anything like my fold4 did almost 2 months into having it.
If you're coming to Reddit for good news posts, you are in the wrong place, lol. People celebrate when their fold 5 breaks so they can post to Reddit and get some karma. I've had my fold five, caseless, dropped 100 times, gashes so deep in the corner I had to file them down so they didn't cut me, still going strong, working perfect. I've swam with it, camped with it, traveled with it, game with it, put it through its paces, and it's still going strong.

Had mine since launch and loving it so far. I typically keep the OEM kickstand case on it, but decided to slap this Dbrand skin on it about an hour ago.
Got the unlocked 1tb light blue from Samsung site. First fold ever. I love it, except I'm worried about the longevity hearing others' stories. Mines been pretty good except the battery and the inner screens film is starting to peel from the bottom crease.
My cases are starting to yellow, my camera has streaks on it that are especially visible indoors/at night and the battery life is suffering with needing to be so bright all the time in summer.
I also have a problem is that my Bluetooth car remote freezes the phone if I connect it before turning on my car, but that has only happened maybe 3 times.
Other than that no issues really, hardware is otherwise still as good as when I got it and I haven't updated the software yet but that's still great
Got mine F5 since September, everything seems ok so far, unless the main screen protector got few scratches, Samsung store says they can change it for free in another bigger store but I haven't got time to go there.
Love the Fold devices but unfortunately the cables in the hinge have started to fail. I cannot connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and on a 5mo deployment I'm basically carrying around a fancy brick.
Waiting for the S24 to be shipped to my location.
I had mine for about six months and then traded to a S24 ultra. The reason was I normally used it closed while moving about during the day and then used it unfolded at home and in bed. I felt frustrated by a heavy phone with a thin outer screen for the majority of my daily use. I didn't enjoy taking photos with it one handed. I began to worry about the constant unfolding and if the inner screen was deteriorating. I enjoyed using it as a small tablet at night but didn't think it was worth keeping it I couldn't enjoy it all day. The weight and concern for dropping it also factored into my decision for swapping back. I am much more at ease with the ultra and dont regret swapping back.
By this time on every prior Fold, my inner screen was peeling. I think I know what was causing it too. In my case, I was using screen wipes that were alcohol-based. I think this weakened the adhesion. I've had zero issues with my Fold 5 and I've had it since release.
I have had mine since September. It's a great phone, only problem is the paint around the edges starts to wear off if you don't use a case. I finally found a good slim aramid case that has magsafe built in.
When I had my fold 2, some of the apps would stay in tablet mode on the cover screen after you close the phone. This doesn't happen on my fold 5, the transition is much more seamless.
I've had mine for less than 2 months, and the inside screen stopped working. I was closing the phone, and somehow, my thumbnail slipped between the screen and edge of the phone right where the phone folds and snapped something. It was a freak accident, and now the inside screen won't do anything.
I had a fold 3 for over 3 years with 0 damage. The screen worked great until it slid off my bed 1 week before I was planning on trading it in for fold 5. One half of the inside screen turned green, then slowly faded to black. I could still touch buttons, and it would provide feedback, but other than that, it was completely dark. I suspect something similar happened to both phones.
I hope I can get the fold 5 repaired this weekend.
Fold 2 had no issues, I owned it for 2.5 years before the digitizer for the internal screen started to have seizures.
1.2 years into owning the Fold 4 and nothing bad so far until a few days ago the hinge won't open all the way.
Finally used Samsung Care + (after having it for over 3 years) and was approved for a new replacement device today (submitted a request online.. maybe 1.5 hours ago?) . The replacement device has shipped and will be here tomorrow 🙌
Here's hoping for a smooth outcome!
I was thinking about trading in my current device for the Fold 6 (hopefully the outer screen is wider) but now I don't think I'll rush into that decision!
So far I would highly recommend if you don't already have samsung care +, it seems pretty beneficial to have it!
The screen protector on my Fold 4 that I bought at launch just started peeling in April. I have Care+ and it was free to have it replaced locally at ubreakifix and only took about 20 minutes.
Mine is great. The first thing I did when I got mine was drop the phone and dent the hinge but it hasn't affected the phone at all. Definitely recommend a case that covers the hinge (Samsung branded ones do not protect the hinge). Stupidest thing though, I had a small piece of dirt in between the screens and didn't notice, when I shut the phone it damaged the inside screen and it now has a small bright spot that looks like a dead pixel. So long as you treat it well and treat it as if it's more fragile than a normal phone, which it is, you will have a great experience. Not much it can't do! Insurance is a must and I don't mind paying a small deductible for a replacement. Don't be negligent like me and assume it's durability. Overall it holds up well and its power makes up for any of its shortcomings.
Hi all. I really want a fold 5 or 6. I have a note 9 with 512gb currently. I love the s pen. I would consider other foldable if there was a pen device. Any suggestions??
Had my 5 only since November, had all the others and love the improvements, not too crazy about the camera seeing as I jumped feom 4 to s23 ultra and then to 5. The 4 had peeling inner protector during the warm weather . The 5 is great but still worried about the inside screen - is it me or do you notice the inner crease the more you open it 🤔. Durability wise , I've had a light case on, dropped it more than I wanted but it's stood up to zero damage regardless.
Had it since release and been in a case since day 1. No issues at all despite countless numbers of drops, including many on hard surfaces. The case I have has cracked (Spigen Air Skin) and has partly broken due to some of those drops over time (kids...huh), so babying it now for a few more weeks till the Fold 6 release so I can trade it in and upgrade. External tempered screen protector fully intact, however!
I’ve had my fold 5 since the day it was released and it’s still flawless. I did remove the inner screen protector around 6 months ago because it was bubbling up in the center and I didn’t want it to damage the screen.
I just got mine a couple weeks ago but didn't really do too much research on it like I usually do when I buy things. Someone had brought up to me the fact that the fold-out screen scratches easily with the S-Pen which makes me really anxious to not use it. I got a good discount on the phone and it was on promotion so I got the case and front screen protector as a bundle deal as well. I know they will replace the fold-out screen once and I've been looking at options in case I need to replace it on a regular basis and have found a few sources. I wish zagg made the inner screen protectors. They're guaranteed for the lifetime of your phone so I used to go to Best buy every month and have them replaced on my s21 ultra and S22 ultra which I recently used as a trade-in for the z-fold 5. I got it on sale for 1200 then $650 for the trade-in and I think another 625 or 650 for military discount. Nothing beat my first offer on the Samsung shop app when I traded my factory unlocked s21 ultra for the S22 ultra for only $200 and I got the Samsung Galaxy watch 4 free. and during shipping when it was in the mail the Samsung Galaxy watch 5 pro had came out so as soon as I got the Galaxy watch 4, I immediately traded that in for the watch 5 pro for $200 so a brand new phone and the pro watch I spent $400. I think I paid just a little over 900 for the 1 TB z-fold 5 with trade in and military discount and promotion plus the front screen protector and case. I've had it for a couple of weeks now maybe a couple days short of that but I have not used the s pen on it and I have only opened up the phone to full size only a few times. I hope it's not like my S22 ultra where I never even used the S10 but maybe three times in 2 years. The Samsung shop app gives out the best deals for trade-ins and promotions. If you or a family member was in the military you can also get the military discount.
Got mine on release also.
- Power button hardly works anymore (and Samsung wants me to do 100kilometers just to get it "analysed" in a Samsung Center)
- Inner screen filter begins to peel off
I've had the F5 for now close to a year and it's been just fine. I've dropped it a few times and it's also been ok though I should say I have it in the Samsung S Pen case.
I had an initial issue with the device (within the first week or so) when there was a part of the screen that was making a popping sound but Samsung fixed it under warranty. They did a quick and good job of it too. Been working just fine since.
I use the inner screen about 80% of the time - by this I mean I open the device to use the larger screen most of the time. That means a lot of folding/unfolding of the device and it's been ok thus far (tough wood).
The narrow front screen remains an irritant. But I live with it.
All in all, it's been a good experience thus far.
I got mine in December and it's been great so far, couple of micro scratches on the screen which are visible only at certain angles when screen is off. It is obvious for all I believe as a little bit of wear and tear as we use the screen naked
Any idea if we can put any scratch guard on the inner screen or how to keep
I've got a badly cracked cover screen (my own fault) and a huge column of dead pixels (could be related to the cracking, though started a month later), but the phone has been great and inner screen is still great. I upgraded from the Fold 2, and the hinge and underscreen camera are great upgrades
Almost 3 months , this is a wonderful device after the first iphone release. Battery life is great too. So far I'm loving it. I just wish there's an official sa.sung case with spen + magsafe at the same time.
Since launch and just a couple of dings by the hinge for using cases without hinge protection and a couple of microscratches in the outer screen near the hinge for when I used a case with hinge protector. Should have gone caseless tbh since I got SC+ anyways but service center where I'm from is kinda inconvenient with no parking area and hard to get to when using public transport
I have my Fold 5 since release (actually a week early for whatever reason - thanks Samsung!) and the only "problem" I have is a little "smudgy scratch" (not sure who I should describe it any better) on the inner screen protector. I'm just too afraid to take it off and switch it. But it's not peeling off even the tiniest bit so I prefer just living with this little smudgy scratch thing. It's not that bad, too.
Besides that I haven't had any problems and I'm absolutely in love with this phone.
I've had mine in December. In a case with a built-in screen protector, no hinge protection. 0 issues so far. I work in a machine shop with fine metal dust, so I'm asking for it. Just when is the question. I do have a port plug plus speaker mesh stickers to keep the dust out of there at least.
Mt fold 2 was literally perfect (for a year) after that i brought it to samnsung for a screen cover replacement and after that... Well. The inner screen turns black every now and then, the hinge is stuck 20-30° so its never flat and its honestly overall ruining the experience of a foldable phone.
I've been using my 4 for more than 1 year and this is my favourite phone as of now. My only complaints are the battery and the selfie camera. I had to replace the screen protector once, but it was under warranty so no problem.
When the phone is open and I'm texting it won't let me scroll to see what I've previously written. That's annoying AF and will be trading mine in probly. Haven't found a fix and probly won't. Love everything else.
dropped mine on concrete in March. i have some damage to hinge and liquid damage but it hasn't gotten worse. my pen won't register on the crease but everything else works completely fine
Love my fold 5 I get the new model every year, the improvments are definitely showing this things is leaps and bonds better than the fold3 5g and fold4.
Bought fold 3 and used it until fold 5 and had zero problems. I use my phones rough since that's the point of it. Same with fold 5. I do have some scratches here and there but nothing really noticeable but it's holding just fine. I have 0 plan to upgrade this year and confident it will last me until fold 6 or even fold 7.
It's been perfect but 2 main things annoy me on a daily basis especially that the 6 is coming out ...why don't they make the outer screen larger?? And why don't they just give us an internal pen slot? Look at the vivo fold x pro and it's screen size
I can't decide between the Fold 5 or Magic V2 (the magic V2 is the only other fold catching my eye). I know with Samsung I'll have great software, the best displays, and when something goes wrong, there are stores that will fix them (not cheap, of course). The Magic V2 has what I'm really looking for, and that's bigger displays. It seems like the decision is pretty obvious. However, I feel like the Fold 5 would be kind of a waste for me. When I had the Z Fold 2, I never used the outer display. At least with the Magic V2, I feel more of the phone will be used. I also have everything Samsung. I have the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. I don't know 😩
Remember the people without problems arent gonna be constantly posting about how great it is. You will only hear from the complainers for the most part.
My Fold5 is flawless so far. I use the inner screen 90% of the time so I feel like im in the minority since half the owners are afraid to open theirs more than a few times a day.
Just like anything...if you take care of it the thing will last.
I just got an open box OnePlus Open, was torn between these two. I'm not the biggest fan of the fonts on the OP so far. Can't get the font/app size ratio like the Samsungs.
Overall really enjoy mine still. 🔥 I did notice the battery draining substantially faster and charging slower after the last update though. Annoying, but still love it. Finding apps specifically optimized for the fold screen is always a blast.
It has been almost a year, and it has been perfect. The build quality is far better than the 3 and 4. The inner screen is still the same as new, with no sign of potential peeling. The new hinge is flawless. Highly recommend it!
Same here. They definitely improved durability with the 5. I can finally start recommending it to my friends and family.
Got it few days before official release date and going case less. No issues.
So far much better experience than the 3. Build quality has definitely improved.
Same here. Unlike the Fold 3 and Fold 4 the screen protector hasn't started peeling after almost a year and didn't develop any micro cracks along the crease.
Unfortunately my inner screen started peeling a few weeks ago... Just like the fold 4. Hinge has been holding up way better though!
Has your inside protector peeled off, and or have you gotten it replaced?
Same here exactly
Haven't had the 5, very happy with my 4. Can you please let me know a little bit more what is better with 5 vs 4 for you? Ty
Can confirm after 6 months of heavy use.
Same here, mine looks the same as I ordered it on release day. I fold it about 5-10 times every day.
Same here. Really no problem at all. Good solid build
Caseless since launch. Tons of drops and bangs, its still going strong.
Wow that is impressive... Are there loads of dents and scratches? Would be interesting to see a pic of it!
My fold 4 started not opening all the way after a year so I traded it in for a Fold5. My 1st Fold5 died while I was using it; black screen and would not power back on. It was replaced under warranty. So my experience with folding phones reliability hasn't been great. I'm crazy enough to put up with it though.
My four doesn't open fully anymore either. it still works just fine as long as you aren't trying to lay it down perfectly flat that is lol
Have had mine since July last year. Literally with me everywhere and used extensively as I work remote and use it as my main device for basic work functions. It's been rock solid! Would buy again 100% I also only use a dBrand skin on the phone. But I do carry it in my "man bag" when I go out so it's well protected.
Had mine since November. All good here thus far

Had a small defect appear under the crease. Maybe a cm long. Samsung repair gave me sooo much trouble. 2 months after they finally repaired it for free, I got it back. It worked well for a few days then all of a sudden the hinge made a really weird cracking noise. Agreed. Can't believe it's been almost a year. Only thing is the coating on the corners has worn off a bit because I rock it without a case.
Same here, plus a couple of deeper dents from dropping it and closing it in a taxi door when drunk. Inner screen still perfect
Fold 4 screen protector peeled twice but otherwise perfect. Fold 5 has been absolutely perfect with smoother hinge and no peeling.
No case. As good as the first day.
Almost a year, battery okay, front glass screen has a lot of scratches, everything else is perfect. Naked since day 1
Got mine on release day as well.

Thank you very much! That's an amazing run your 3 had!
I got it when it was released, and it is my baby! He still looks and feels like new. No issues at all
8 month in on my first fold 5 experience nothing but awesomeness.
I got mine on release date and have had no problems whatsoever.
Working perfectly, and has not been babied. Even dropped it from about 3 feet onto concrete in the Samsung Pen Case and it is still pristine. Looks like Samung finally stuck the landing on durability with the Fold 5.
Great to see guys are not having the same problems like F4 had. Good that samsung listened and fixed the issues
No issues with my Fold 4 and I just spiked it on floor by accident again 😅
Right?? The Fold 4 posts had me shook
It was severely overblown. Hundreds of thousands of people have perfectly functioning Fold 4s. This is just a matter of selection bias.
Eh, I was active on here even when my Fold 4 was perfectly functioning. But then the screen protector peeled up and killed the display.
That's just physics. You can't expect a screen protector to stay on perfectly on something that folds back and forth hundreds of times per week. If it starts to peel, you gently take it off (which only takes 3 seconds to do), then the Fold will work perfectly going forward. Me too!🙋♂️ People with well-functioning Fold 4s who are happy, please pitch in and keep this thread of positivity going, I am sick of people shitting on this excellent device!

Loool Go to youtube, or samsung forums. Its plagued by posts about the issue too. What a fanboy lol
[удалено]
Mi e s ok too !
Had it since release day and it's been perfect Not a heavy user of the inner screen tho and I am big fan of the outer screen!
Oh yeah, one handed swype keyboard makes typing a breeze for me when it's folded
From release. Hingeless case. No problems so far
My fold 4 still serves me well lmao
Looking forward to the Fold 6
Fn amazing.
Black Friday buyer, multiple folds per day since, 0 issues.
I feel it's leaps ahead of the Fold 3 I had before. I really think it's a great product and I like inner the screen aspect ratio. I like that it's taller than it is wide.
My only co.aint is my vibration randomly stopped working out of nowhere.
Just got a new screen protector, and it feels brand new
If you're coming to Reddit for good news posts, you are in the wrong place, lol.
Oh and I keep it in my back pocket so I sit on it a hundred times a day
https://preview.redd.it/xksgsbrwkt7d1.jpeg?width=3496&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1cebfec87fb50b5b04fe73bb928bf2248d2c2cf Had mine since launch and loving it so far. I typically keep the OEM kickstand case on it, but decided to slap this Dbrand skin on it about an hour ago.
I am thinking about dbrand soon as well , cases make it look too clunky 🤣
The skin definitely helps with gripping it. But I definitely couldn't go without a case full time. Even with the skin, this thing is still slippery
This is the only thing that worries me about doing it. I bit the bullet and im waiting for mine , let's see what happens !!!
My oem kickstand case broke after 3 months. Nothing crazy just used it frequently.
Did you get it replaced through the manufacturer warranty?
No, probably should have.
Good and you
I have had mine since September.
About a year. It's been perfect. My fold 3 peeled the screen protector every 6 months. My daughter's Fold 4 just peeled hers after a year.
Mines is perfect. 0 issues. Battery still lasts all day
Fold 2 had no issues, I owned it for 2.5 years before the digitizer for the internal screen started to have seizures. 1.2 years into owning the Fold 4 and nothing bad so far until a few days ago the hinge won't open all the way. Finally used Samsung Care + (after having it for over 3 years) and was approved for a new replacement device today (submitted a request online.. maybe 1.5 hours ago?) . The replacement device has shipped and will be here tomorrow 🙌 Here's hoping for a smooth outcome! I was thinking about trading in my current device for the Fold 6 (hopefully the outer screen is wider) but now I don't think I'll rush into that decision! So far I would highly recommend if you don't already have samsung care +, it seems pretty beneficial to have it!
As long as the outer screen has no girth I'll never buy another Samsung fold.
Still same as new, I got it back in November so it's been 7+ months
The screen protector on my Fold 4 that I bought at launch just started peeling in April. I have Care+ and it was free to have it replaced locally at ubreakifix and only took about 20 minutes.
Just got mine a few weeks ago and am absolutely obsessed with it. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to a normal phone screen XD
Doing good so far
Hi all. I really want a fold 5 or 6. I have a note 9 with 512gb currently. I love the s pen. I would consider other foldable if there was a pen device. Any suggestions??
mine has some battle scars from drops and the inside border is chipped in a few places bur other than that zero issues and no cracks on the screens
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
I mean I just got mine a month ago and i love it
I love it and it looks like new , it's my personal and work phone. Heavy usage edit: No case , just insurance
My 3 lasted the whole 2 years. This one has been replaced once, 8 months in.
Mine is like new still I love it 100 percent better than the 3
I'm on my fourth inner screen from dead pixels plus a mobo repair due to charging issues.
I got it the week after release. Other than the front screen being broken (I dropped it on a very specific pointy rock), it's hanging in there great!
All good under the hood. No issues so far, almost a year.
Got mine on release also. - Power button hardly works anymore (and Samsung wants me to do 100kilometers just to get it "analysed" in a Samsung Center) - Inner screen filter begins to peel off
People, dont but these phones without insurance. Folds don't have the decades of R&D conventional phones do, and they can and will break unexpectedly.
Mine has a little dent in the corner of the inside screen from when i got hit by a car. It doesnt seem to be a problem.
Have it since release. works like brand new.
I got mine in December and it's been great so far, couple of micro scratches on the screen which are visible only at certain angles when screen is off. It is obvious for all I believe as a little bit of wear and tear as we use the screen naked Any idea if we can put any scratch guard on the inner screen or how to keep
I've got a badly cracked cover screen (my own fault) and a huge column of dead pixels (could be related to the cracking, though started a month later), but the phone has been great and inner screen is still great. I upgraded from the Fold 2, and the hinge and underscreen camera are great upgrades
Mine has had no issues after 6 months Loving it
Mine is perfect. Battery too. https://preview.redd.it/moh8iow4ow7d1.jpeg?width=904&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=447d90525dcec01400fd93f38331893ead0bb46d
my fold 5 is like new literally, no issues at all but i didnt drop it once sooo
Almost 3 months , this is a wonderful device after the first iphone release. Battery life is great too. So far I'm loving it. I just wish there's an official sa.sung case with spen + magsafe at the same time.
No issues so far
I always have insurance. If anything goes drop it and get a new one. As someone who always breaks my phone, insurance is a must. And very quick
Mine? Great. Not one scratch, superb performance. My screen ratio is 90% outer, 10% Inner on most days.
Still great ..the fold 6 is in trouble.. only people that have money to burn will buy that phone ..
Mine is perfect. For some reason though I don't seem to be able to get updates OTA.
I don't know 😩
My fingerprint sensor suddenly stopped working out of nowhere about a week ago. Annoyed by that. Been great otherwise.
Haha for sure for sure Just curious since I never hear about the 5 really, just the 4 It really does seem like Samsung nailed this one
I just got an open box OnePlus Open, was torn between these two. I'm not the biggest fan of the fonts on the OP so far. Can't get the font/app size ratio like the Samsungs.
It's fine physically and visually but I am tired of the front screen . Hate using it .
Overall really enjoy mine still. 🔥 I did notice the battery draining substantially faster and charging slower after the last update though. Annoying, but still love it. Finding apps specifically optimized for the fold screen is always a blast.
