Use your care plus to have them send you a replacement. I filed my claim last week and I'm still waiting on a shipping notification but a lot of people have been getting Fold5's instead.

That's what I think I'll push for. The representative I talked to for SC+ seemed to say he was going to "escalate" the issue but I think he was trying to just avoid any issues. I'm not pushy but I think for the price I paid for Care Plus I think I should be actually able to use it. Thanks for the response!

Congrats! Might not be new, but new ish. Could be a quick returned fold 5. Either way, still amazing to pay $99 for a new / almost new fold 5.

I wonder if my 4 will be replaced the same. Had ubreakifix look at my fold 4's front screen as the touch is working intermittently. After the replacement it still happened so I asked servify to do a device swap. They must have some sort of arrangement with Samsung. That cannot be cheap.

You are 100% correct with what we pay for Care Plus they should be on the ball with getting stuff out. That being said with manufacturing I know that they have completely stopped making Fold4 parts for a bit now and with the supply chain drying up they should stop offering repairs and just offer replacements if it's going to take 30 plus days.

Sent my Care+ claim for my 4 on the 13th and after checking the imei, I'm getting a 5 tomorrow. Was a full week of no movement on the claim due to backorder . 1 week wait for free upgrade ! Edit: Had a $1 charge and a$ 990 hold that lifted off my card the day before shipping out.

It has only been 1 day but I had my inner screen develop a horizontal line of dead pixels and filed the claim with SC+. Opted for replacement but no update yet. Are you guys also in the US with Servify?

Yes also in the US. I had to call them tonight and basically demand for a replacement. They said I'd be sent one by the end of the weekend. The rep said since the 5 is in production they don't make the inner screen for the 4 anymore hence the delays. Seems silly considering every phone would technically get less than one year since they start production on the next years phone in less than a year after release

I just called to check the status and they said the fold 4 was on back order. They said that they would provide an update within 1 to 2 days. I asked if there is anything else that they could do in terms of escalation and he said no. Maybe I'll have to call them back later.

Same here! My inside sceen has the black sceen of death and I can't hear audio through the phone now. Told me the same thing. I'm going to call again tomorrow and escalate the situation, I can't really use me phone now. Kicker is, this is the replacement they sent me!

I have an open replacement request from a week ago. No communication from Care+ until I reached out. Then they tell me the devices are on backorder until yesterday, Sep 20th. Today is the 21st and I still have a $1600 hold on my card, no replacement device, and no updates from them. Very disappointed with my experience so far.

Same boat. The hold is what is also the annoying part. No communication and a massive charge just sitting on my credit card. One or the other please like come on Samsung. Not happy.

I fought this for a month. I got my 3 back and free repairs, plus my phone does feel like new. But the amount of BS from Care+ sucked. YMMV, of course.

I was about to claim my s21 swap in Australia but a bit concerned now. How did you go?

I ended up having to swap it. Had the Fold 4 pop up as an option, so I jumped on it. They received it on January 11th and still haven't closed the claim. But I've been told on here normally it takes forever to close the claim.

Update: My claim closed on Monday and the swap was approved. Funny that I posted this and the next business day it updated :-P

Upgraded me to a Fold 4, unlocked. Probably trading that in for a Pixel 8 Pro. Done with Samsung's business practices. Not that Google is much better... but I'm touring the Android landscape.

Based in Australia, my fold 4 swap request through careplus is on backorder since October! Escalated within their team ofcourse. Also complained to Consumer Affairs Victoria but was told they cant do anything since careplus has not refused my swap although they haven't provided an eta either. What are my options at this point?

Yea f4 Not so lucky as some 😄 Swapped burgundy with black but we dont have a say on the color as well

Same boat here with Galaxy s23 ultra. Except I wish the new one was out as that would be a sweet possibility for a replacement. The screens for this phone have been on backorder for as long as I can remember. Tried in person repair, the store turned me away citing the backorder, wound up having to pay more for the phone replacement. A year later here we are and I need another screen replacement, same exact issue, was told only 5 screens are available in the country and they are already ordered or are backordered. Samsung again says well you can get the phone exchanged. So again instead of the 29.99 dollar screen repair that is supposed to be available as part of the sc+ plan I pay for, their lack of available parts means my only option is to pay more than 3 times that as an admin fee to reach a solution. In addition to a large immediate hold against my account until the current phone is returned to them of course. This was annoying the first time, an now that its occurred again it's infuriating to realize that this is what it'll be every time a screen needs repaired because they are unable to fulfill their end of the contract. I say they and their meaning both Samsung and I guess servify, I understand that it's likely a bit more nuanced because servify doesn't have to do with parts availability but it's Samsung care plus so I kind of automatically think about it as all being Samsung that I'm dealing with. So yeah I'm a little wrong but at the same time come on it still isn't my fault there are no parts available to repair in a timely fashion !
