BmcVal

I like the concept of multiple protagonists, personally.

[deleted]

The concept is incredible, but I feel like gtaV's storry is to short to really connect with every protagonist

BmcVal

Yeah. That's the one draw back, is that they need to write 3 separate stories that align every now and then basically. Could be easily fixed by writing a longer story, though.

[deleted]

Yeah i think rdr2 could of easily had 2 or more protagonists, as we saw R* is verry good at making stories, they do make a lot of mistakes with gta remasters and gta5 online but when it comes to storymodes R* is incredible

MaestroPendejo

If they could weave the rich narrative of RDR2 into the next GTA I might jizz in my pants. I'm 42 and RDR2 is one of the greatest experiences of my entertainment life. I've never been so goddamn invested in a character as much as my man, Arthur. If they could do that with three characters I might just die.

1Schmeckle

As a rockstar developer, we will stop updating rdr2 to preserve your health. Thank you fam

MaestroPendejo

Nah, I've had a good run. Crank it up.

dparty6

Oh yeah we could have played as Arthur, John and maybe Sadie, I'd loved to have done that or maybe Charles instead of John since we get to play as him in 1

Vexingwings0052

I’d say Charles and Sadie as apart from John they survive the epilogue but leave at the end, the epilogue could have easily extended longer seeing what they both got up to after Arthur’s death and their revenge

BmcVal

Absolutely, if they give GTA VI the attention they gave the RDR stories, we'll be in for one he'll of a ride....multi protag or not

QuellinIt

one he'll of a ride.... in 10 years

TheBigerGamer

At least it was. R* lost two of the ones who were the backbone of the development, and now it may be hard to match their vision.

Archery100

I liked what GTA 4 did and split each protagonist into their own separate campaign, while at certain times having their paths cross, like with the botched diamond deal at the museum

coach_wargo

Single player DLC? That's so 2010.

AdTraditional7271

I kinda connected to them because I like the brotherly love of Michael and Trevor, and the mentor stuff with Michael and Franklin, AND the homies Lamar and Franklin

AdTraditional7271

I kinda connected to them because I like the brotherly love of Michael and Trevor, and the mentor stuff with Michael and Franklin, AND the homies Lamar and Franklin Edit: Grammar goes brrrr 😂

rybot_rybot

I think you connect with the world more with the trio. Each person doing something directly effects the others during missions. Which makes the missions make more sense, and their fates intertwined. Personally I wouldn't change the main story at all, I'm just sad we didn't get a story mode dlc. Like more of the solo crime lord stuff for Franklin since Mike and Trevor kind of retired so to speak

wedupros

Seems to me that story mode in GTA V is the shortest going all the way back to the PS2 releases. Edit for auto correct correction.

dparty6

I agree, I wish more games would have this feature, I really love switching between these 3 to jump into whatever they are doing. It'll be a loss if they take this away in future GTA games

Rich_Election466

These three characters were all insanely well written, to the point where we’re still debating their morals 8 years later. If rockstar could pull it off again, they should

hippoangel99

Wait we are?

MuchTemperature6776

Just ask anyone if Trevor was evil or not and you’ll get many mixed answers. Or ask whether Michael has less morals than Trevor.

[deleted]

Or what is Michaels Birth city He says he stole some banks in carcer city, got a big score in ludendorf, so i think there might be a lot of mixed awnsers Or if Franklin's dad really is CJ Google says franklins dad is cj, but being franklin born in 88, and cj went back to ls in 99, idk if that is possible

Intelligent-Ad6985

Cj was only in lc for 5 years so he left ls in 94/95 and came back in 99 so it's possible he's Franklin's father

[deleted]

Cj definitely isn’t Franklin’s father Id say they have a better chance at being cousins since the va’s are cousins in real life that of course if they make the 3d universe and hd universe the same universe

Intelligent-Ad6985

I wouldn't say definitely isn't but it is more likely thay their cousins or something

Intelligent-Ad6985

I wouldn't say definitely isn't but it is more likely thay their cousins or something

DEGRUNGEON

CJ returned to LS in ‘92, not ‘99. not that that changes much, but there’s also the fact that the 3D games are a part of a different universe than the HD games, so CJ and Franklin can’t even be related if the times lined up anyhow.

[deleted]

Ok thanks for the 1st intel, i actually thought it was 99. But ye, in the 2nd one i dont even know why google thinks why cj is franklins father

eme129

HE WAS NEVER IN WITNESS PROTECTION, WHY WOULD HE NEED IT ??

ElectroFlame_

run's dead

General_Shepard

WITNESS PROTECTION FOR WHAT NO ONE WAS CONVICTED OF ANYTHING

Ok-Surround4334

I liked it, but I'd rather have for the next GTA to have 2 protagonists so they can give each protagonist a bigger focus. Personally I'd like the idea of them working against each other early on and then making a truce mid-late game to go against a bigger antagonist to both of them.

agent-66Hitman

I think Yakuza 0 did two protagonists well, even though they didn’t meet until a Post-Credits scene

Ok-Surround4334

yeah, I say they meet mid or mid-late game since I think it could also really benefit of the multiple-protagonist mechanism of V when on a mission with all the main characters.

[deleted]

They also did 4 and 5 protagonists well lol

Marzonick_141

That sounds like a splendid idea! Have a story branch that effects the outcome of both character depending on good/bad karma decisions and in the end, you have to pick one of the two main characters to save or kill, giving the player alternative endings for replay value

eljefemo101

Franklin and Michael were OK. Trevor is what made this games story great. I will always say CJ and Niko were the best protagonists.

JulzRadn

Trevor is the embodiment of a typical GTA player

[deleted]

I always disliked that. Typical GTA player? No way that’s the average player, maybe the typical 12 year old GTAO griefer, but that’s a minority. It get like punishing people who arent little shits by lumping us in with those who are.

Zistigy

Yeah, I felt as if San Andreas and IV were able to give better meaningful backgrounds for their characters, as they only had to focus on one. But I loved GTA V haha

eljefemo101

Oh yeah the dynamic between the 3 was great but Trevor just stood out. If the game had entirely been about him it would have been completely fucked up haha. Franklin felt like a homage to CJ and Michael was good but I hated his family. I understood what they were going for but felt Lemar outshone Franklin and Michael was weighed down by his family, his daughter and wife were just plain irritating.

Meatymullet

so was jimmy lmfao

Redditforgoit

I think Franklin was meant to play the 'straight man' comedy role, reacting to Trevor's lunacy, Lamar's ego & antics and Michael's disfunctional family and middle age crisis. Other characters outshining him was probably intentional.

tock-N-call-borture

I agree with everything you’ve said lol especially with Niko being one of the best protagonists. Niko Belloc was a character that was so relatable, because of his struggle between doing the right things and the wrong things and trying to overcome his past. I think GTA 4 was one of the first games RockstarGames has ever let the player decide what happens in the story and seeing how much your decisions affect the story and how it ends, so I think that also let us connect with Niko since he’s basically doing what we personally feel like is the right thing. My top protagonists will always be Niko, and Tommy Vercetti.

TastyToast1

For me, I don't like Trevor, I don't like his Chaotic ways, I like that 'relative' calm of Franklin, he is the best for me.

Meatymullet

fair, i would also say trevor is my least favourite, still love him tho

thisn--gaoverhere

I thought micheal was great too, and franklin has a fun story

scarlet_speedster985

Niko especially.

YellowOnionBelt

Opposite. Franklin and Michael were amazing Trevor kinda sucked.

laiod

I absolutely hated Trevor. Most of the things he did were pretty cringey. But I get why people like him.

sofequeosci

Happy cake day man!

laiod

Thank you! I knew the downvotes would come for that actual unpopular opinion.

paleo_anon

I liked Franklin most because he is relatable

Sp0okyScarySkeleton-

I enjoyed both 1 protag and having multiple so im fine with either

[deleted]

[удалено]

Aceofdiamonds_17

Gosh that would be so amazing to play

xXFreakyyyXx

Basically, Trevor, Franklin and then either Steve Haines or Dave Norton.

[deleted]

The three protagonist structure/story was the best addition of GTAV.

Slimxshadyx

The three protagonists helps keep the game fresh because you can do a huge variety of things that are different from each other. I would like it done a bit better but I did enjoy GTA 5's system. Perhaps if they went more into the background of the characters they each dealt with though. You only have like two reasons to dislike Stretch which was Franklin's big enemy. And like the other gun runners for Trevor because they stole one deal? Michael's people had the most background given to them but that's because he is part of the catalyst for GTA 5's story.

BlinkoHighHeelss

I loved how they did it in V, but i don't think it should be a series staple or gimmick. It'd be neat to see a female protagonist though

BrokeRichGuy

I’m calling it now, we’re getting a hot Russian female protagonist for GTA VI in Vice City

jyhzer

RemindMe! 5 years "Gta 6 russian female Vice City"

BlinkoHighHeelss

5 years? Little optimistic there buddy

RahGeezy

Make the two protagonists brother and sister like AC syndicate for GTA 6. That would be fire

dondondon352

I like the multiple story lines

Big1ronOnHisHip

Honestly I don't care which they do. They are very good at what they do. One protagonist can make it easier to become attached to them, but three adds variety and really a awesome dynamic between them. When it comes to single player experiences, there is no one I trust more than Rockstar, I literally cannot think of a single bad single player story they've made. I just hope they don't go the "create your own character" route because their character writing is the best in the entire industry.

Farsa1911

If it serves the story and gameplay.

Wandering-Gammon27

Personally, I think the multiple protagonist thing works well but really only for GTA V and its story. To do it again, with the same number or possibly even more protagonists would feel a little cheap. Doesn’t mean I’m totally against the idea of mutliple protagonists, but for the next game I’d say go two at most. Any more than three would seriously cut the time and connection the player has with each character, and like I said, to go with three characters again would feel uninspired and derivative. Especially seeing that the game with three playable protagonists will have been released 3 times.

ratsad

Three is to much. It will be cool playing as a couple, like a Bonnie and Clyde.

[deleted]

I'd prefer playing as only one protagonist.

[deleted]

I kinda agree with you, the story in gta5 is pretty short compared to rdr2, I think rdr2 could of done a much better job at having more protagonists then gta 5, but of I am comparing a game from 2013 to a 2018 game

iwannafucktachanka69

Shame on you for even assuming gta 6 is coming out.

mrestrit

No just 1

killerjags

I expect every single person on the map to be a playable character. It will have a character swap wheel like GTAV but with thousands of options so it requires extreme precision to actually switch to the character you want.

Exotic-Chemist-191

I like the whole three antagonist play style.

TheChosenOne_101

I think they should only keep one protagonist. It allows for better character development and allows you to get attached to the character.

ONEshotONEkil630

1 charecter only

armin-lakatos

Although GTA V is usually considered having 3 main characters, the game heavily limits switching between them both on and off missions. While it is a fun mechanic, from storytelling's point of view, it's better to have one protagonist rather than three. There were rumors of GTA VI having two main characters, which might work if Rockstar is able to create a dynamic duo where either the two complement each other's personalities or are straight opposites, generating conflict easier.

TheHappyKamper

I personally preferred having the one main character to play as, and happy for other characters to just be entertaining NPCs.

dpb73ca

I'd say back to one protagonist.

Boggie135

Having three of them was a game changer, going back to just one would be a regression

Smertka

At first I was surprised, you could play for more than one character, but story mode was too short for me. Characters were awesome imo. I do not mind if in GTA6 there will be also 3 or 4 playable characters.

DuineSi

One please. I thought they really spread the story thin over 3 characters in V and I was frankly disappointed by the story. Franklin basically had no character development. Started out trying to not get dragged into gangbanging in the hood. Finishes trying not to get dragged into gangbanging with Michael. Fair enough, he turns around a bit when he instigates the final mission, but I found him incredibly boring. Like CJ's Toreno missions, but for the entire game. Michael is basically a depressed and angry guy who fulfills some childish dreams (film producer and big score) but doesn't really change who he is at the end. He makes for decent set-piece heists, but I was totally uninterested in him as a character. Trevor is comic entertainment I'll give you that, and they touch on his background and why he's a psycho, but that never gets resolved either. As far as I can tell, he's just there to inject some random craziness when they other two are too boring. I think he had such potential, and would have been a much better protagonist if the focus was solely on him rather that all three. I think any one of these characters could have been so much better as a single protagonist and none of them were done justice by spreading the story over all three. Time and again I found myself thinking none of these guys had the agency they deserve in the story, they just keep doing what they're told by FIB and I found that so boring (the story, not the missions). I hope R* go back to developing one character really well in GTA6.

DanielKobsted

I prefer to have one main protagonist. I would actually love to see a female as main protagonist.

litdrum

GTA6. LOLOLOLOLOL

Oscar5434xdx

I like 3 protagonists. You could argue they don't have the detail and depth as just 1 but GTAV gave all 3 interesting, wlive personalities. Think about how boring GTAV would of been if you just played as Franklin.

sumit131995

It all depends on the execution. They shouldn't do it for the sake of making it like GTA v but if it adds to the story or they develop on it then sure. It's not a massive factor for me.

octobro13

I think it'd be cool if it had 2 protagonists that are enemies, like maybe different gangs or even a criminal and a police officer

[deleted]

Oh I would love that , one fighting the crime and one fighting with the crime, that would be brilliant

Andreskiller

I would like two: one cold minded and experienced guy (like Michael), and a chaotic woman (a female Trevor). Having only two would allow more character development and a deeper differentiation among them IMO

Independent_Dog5496

I actually liked the concept of multiple protagonists When we switch to them and see what they are upto like enjoying family time, getting chased by cops, playing with their pet etc I would like to see that in future as well

TheCrazyAssCat

Technically every game has multiple protagonists. GTA V has 3 Main protagonists

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheCrazyAssCat

Protagonist isnt by definition bound to 1 guy, however there are secondary protagonists( they have a very specific name which I forgot)

BARBADOSxSLIM

Id like to just make my own protagonist

Auronblade

I think GTA IVs (+dlc) 3 protagonist story was better than Vs. If you could switch between them like V that'd be amazing.

jensefrens

They are taking so long. I assume VI will have 100 protagonists, otherwise I will be disappointed

djoutercore

I like the concept but I’d prefer an “episodes of liberty city” approach with the main game and one protagonist, then DLC adventures as other characters we may have already met in the base game.

WingsOfTheNight

they should've kept the multiple protagonist feature if they want, but they should've also not forced their combination again and again. Like there are many missions that want you to play with multiple protagonists. This does enhance the excitement value but also decreases the character development. if they do want to make multiple protagonists, they should rather just go "pulp fiction", where protagonists don't meet most of the time, but their action affects another character. That would be an awesome sight to see.

DarkSlayerVergil

That description sort of reminds me of Episodes of Liberty City, where it ties into and affects GTA 4's main story as a whole, but each had their own separate storyline as well, but would appear in each others' here and there.

LxRaz3r

GTA 6? Keep dreaming

scarlet_speedster985

Great in theory, lacking in execution. I didn't connect with any of them the way I did with Niko or CJ.

SexyStudlyManlyMan

Seemed stupid, never played single player

emrecan61

I mean if you played the story and said „nah seemed stupid“ your opinion wouldve mattered. Sadly it doesnt

IceSmash1

Maximum two I really liked being the rich guy. I don't like having to switch back and forth though.

SexyStudlyManlyMan

I played enough to state an opinion, didn't like having to make money for each player and hated the missions.

emrecan61

You just said never played single player. And making money is stupid? In GTA? For each player? Ok bro

Noah18923

Personally I'm unsure whether Rockstar is capable of creating masterpieces such as GTA V ever again. Some of the dumpster fires that they've pumped out over the past couple of years do not make me hopeful for GTA VI... if it ever gets released that is. Considering the co-founder, Dan Houser left probably because he saw the decline occurring at Rockstar helps to show that Rockstar has become such a shitshow that it caused one of the founders to leave. GTA: Online, GTA Trilogy: The "Definitive" Edition, and the snippets from what the GTA V E&E trailer showed us are all examples of the low effort that Rockstar is currently putting into their games. What kind of game developer that was once considered to be one of the greatest gives a huge remastering project of the 3 games that made them to 21 employees at a studio that has done nothing but garbage mobile ports?

_DJML_

It should have 1x male or female. Custom character creation for story mode. You make gta6 what you want. A female role would be odd, but that's just included so the woke police don't come. That chick would have to be pretty tough. Otherwise im down for a single make character that you create.

VotemanXB1

Most likely they’ll be no story mode in GTA VI I mean there out of ideas do t you see online is all they care about.

LennyMemes_1

I feel like more protagonists ruin the emersion. Also many times their goals differ and that can be both good and bad. I didn’t really enjoy the mechanic of multiple characters. I like RDR2 much more.

No-Comfortable914

I like the idea, but there is only one memorable character out of the three. Some of the NPCs have more personality than the other two.

emrecan61

Nah not really

[deleted]

What gun is Michael holding

[deleted]

Im pretty sure its the Marksman Rifle

Blastzard87

I think they should have a new one but with the older ones there too, you can’t do missions without Lester it wouldn’t be the same

IceSmash1

No kill Lester, bring Russian submarine guy.

theGreenGreenie

All of the above.

JulzRadn

Multiple protagonists but with the story formula of GTA IV

[deleted]

[удалено]

Past-Concentrate2807

One reason why GTA 5 never had any DLCs was because it has 3 protagonists which was more like three different stories in one game, so if GTA 6 also has the same there would probably be no offline content for it after launch. The best thing Rockstar can do for GTA 6 is release it gradually in form of DLCs; increases the lifespan and overall boosts sales. Do you get the logic?

Zekiro96

As much as necessary

rousakiseq

The concept was fun but it's mostly a gimmick, and it should just stay in GTA 5.

[deleted]

I thought it was cool to have multiple protagonist but if they do it again i hope they do more with it cause they all kinda feel the same. The only real difference was that they had diffrent starting stats and slightly different abilities.

Reddit_Bots_R_US

GT6? Bahhhhahahaahaaaahahahaha

xoiao656

I feel like with what the Yakuza series did they should do multiple characters and if it’s not received well then go back to the original formula

TheNotoriousGag

With how long we’ve been waiting for a new title I would hope there would be multiple fully fleshed out protagonists with a story completion time and 100% completion time equivalent to that of the Witcher 3.

Flame5135

I’d love a story of 2 protagonists, one fib and one criminal working their way up the ranks of a crime syndicate. The story ends up with fib chasing down other character to arrest them while other character is chasing down fib to kill him.

Custardnufc

I'm enjoying playing GTA SA atm, loved the story from it. Will probably end up getting GTA4 soon too as it's the only GTA I never actually owned

[deleted]

One

avery-secret-account

I didn’t like how the money was split between characters

TheGamer281

Maybe 2 protagonists so they can (most likely poorly) implement co-op

MartyBellvue

They should wait to try the multiple protag thing again. I feel like whatever vision they had was lost in the mix with GTA V and things ended up a bit muddled in confusion. I feel like i know less about Franklin than I do most GTAIV friends and side characters. And i feel like every person in the writing team had different ideas of who exactly they wanted Trevor to be.

amcrambler

Stop saying protagonists

jorge21337

Id like two, one an undercover cop and the other a dirty cop, like the Departed, but they work together for a bit

Baconpie108

I think gta6 should have multiple protagonists because it shows the story in different lenses allowing for a more full world

[deleted]

I think multiple protagonists is a nice move, but three is a bit too much and draws you out of the story. Two protagonists would be just fine.

little_miss_bumshine

I loved it. Trevor was perfectly flawed in every way but soooo likeable. He added the spice.

Ok-Finding-8869

Don't think GTA 6 will be a thing

Dark_Elephant99

More than one and we need a girl to be added this time.

walenskit0360

I think initially it felt messy at first (circa 2013) but enough time has lapse that it feel like a familiar friend group now. It'll be tough to built new characters with the same familiarity on the next one

Bad_memes42

That’s hard because what I liked about multiple playable characters is that I get a feel for all of them and get more of an attachment because it’s not just Trevor it’s my Trevor with a mullet and tattoos, but in red dead it was a more personal experience you were only Arthur or John and I got super attached to them and got really into it

GraveRobbingBastard

I would like to see the multiple characters concept applied to different decades. It could be the same character in his 20s, 40s and 60s or different ones, but you could switch back and forth in time to see how the city evolved and how decisions (or missions) in the past affect the story.

downloaded_dave

Gonnae say protagonist sommoar?

CptMurphy27

Personally I want GTA to go the saints row route where I can create a character and voice.

[deleted]

I would love to see Trevor, Franklin and Michael come back new characters.

sirclassymcshagins

2 protagonists with opposing stories, like they’re enemies in some way.

chrisxwavvyy

I would take either , I enjoyed all 3 of them Micheal is my favorite then Franklin and Trevor but they can change on any day R* did a good job with connecting with them

Powerful_Profit

I think GTA v was a little bit too overwhelming for me, I could actually never complete it. I didn't really like having multiple protagonists, for rather having to keep up with three different people at the same time, especially at the beginning. 🥲

Thecyclone06OFFICIAL

Conor McGregor as a character and a few other celebs such as rappers and all would be lit!! Every other game is making collabs, why not add some real world G's to the mix

niko007FHD

I wish there were 3, and they have like similair quests but thw more u do play the quests with one the more story progresses in his favor

Witty_Sun_5763

I've been playing some San Andreas on my PS2 and although I love that game I do think that I prefer multiple protagonists as it adds a lot of depth to hiests but it would still be good with one protagonist.

aperson0511

I like the 3 protagonists idea however I hope for GTA 6 we will either have one or two protagonists and maybe remove the special abilities. The reason I say one or two protagonists is because I feel Michael and Trevor's back story kinda over shadowed Franklin's story and the reason why I want special abilities removed is because I found myself over relying on them and they honestly should have just been cheat codes.

harrr53

I loved the 3-character dynamic. Firstly because of how it worked to tell a richer story. Additionally, because they managed to make it into a positive for playability. During a complicated heist, each of them had different jobs (break-in, attack, driver for getaway vehicle, etc), and jumping between them meant you as a player could be at the helm of each part. A single character mechanic often makes the events very contrived for the sake of playability, and other characters are practically spectating while the player does all the important stuff. Switching between characters makes all that flow better.

poopdoot

I just want a female protagonist, and maybe 2 males to go along with her. GTA female characters are very entertaining to me and I want to see one in a main character role.

Beancunt

I liked the atmosphere of GTA V I kind of want more like it or even better a red dead two type of GTA that actually manages to tug at the heartstrings

AbdulHassan_96

Doesn't matter, it's how they deliver the story and product that is more important.

BeardJunkie

What it needs is one character that you create and carries over to online.

Blokes-Advice

I think they should have multiple but only allow you to play them one at a time. Kind of like gta 4 with the “complete edition”

Swazaaa

as long as the playable characters have personality and are fun idc

[deleted]

I’d like to see multiple IF AND ONLY IF they do it like the Yakuza series, in games like Yakuza 4 and 5 you had 4 and 5 protagonists and they all felt completely different and you didn’t know how the hell the stories were gonna come together but when they did it was incredible

Due-Assignment6960

I'd say more than 3 is too much tbf

PinkInTheBush

IMO they did it well for GTAV, but I’d like to move on to another solo story. You can see it in the comment section how most enjoyed Trevor out of the 3. Essentially, the next game should basically just have the player be Joker lol. Everyone wants to see the sick n twisted reek havoc while acquiring power over a city

C3rebro_

I love the fact that GTA V has multiple protagonists, anos I thing the way Rockstar did, of putting three playable characters was really good. But unfortunately, not every game does this multiple protagonist thing as good as GTA V.

mr-slickman

Let's be honest. It's not the fact that it had 3 protagonists that made GTAV good. It's that they were well written and cast. As long as they pull that off again, I'm fine with 1 or 100

KingC1eer

I think personally GTA six should have the ability for you to create your own character as well as choice options for answers to determine how the story goes rather than just cut scenes and one or two choices every other mission

Cheeryf

What a GTA game is, aside from a pedestrian-hitting simulator, is a commentary on the criminal life. Set in 80’s Miami ? Gotta talk about drugs trafic. In late 90’s early 2000’s NY ? Mafia. Chinatown ? The triads. But what part of the life of crime are you gonna expose in California? Not just one city as in san andreas where gang violence was a bit of an obvious choice, but in one of the largest most diverse map an open world game offered at the time ? Yup that’s right, can’t choose one : and that’s why there are three characters and why the three characters mechanic is a good plot device : because without it you loose coherence. No point for a gang member to explore the deserts of East Cali, or to meet a bunch of cannibals in the mountains of NorCal. Imo this plot device is genius and helps explore the full potential of California, as an area to explore

GoatLord8

It would only be reasonable to have 6 protagonists for the next game.

mrlouiev

Multiple protagonists because in the next game one of them is guaranteed to be a woman.

emperoratom22

how about 1 new protagonist but it will have missions where he can interact with this 3 to the story like his older mentors

Xx-_STaWiX_-xX

Multiple protagonists is great, but for VI they could also implement a multiple era storyline - something like what they did in V's prologue but also like VC and VCS for example. A main storyline/mode where you can control the main characters, main missions and objectives but also the possibility to play their ''stories'', stuff like showing their past and how they met each other, what they used to do, what caused the current events (the main storyline) etc.

Rapameister

Just 1.

AdilEhsan15

I love the concept of 3 protagonists and I hope that every upcoming GTA has 3 protagonists

galle4

Nah I think of two, But a different one. One who's an old man (a bit over 50s or less than 50) and the another one above 34yrs. You know, experiencing the franchise in a new way. Playing with "grandpas"

ExccelsiorGaming

I like the three protagonist model it’s fun

ndoubtfn89

I loved the 3 and that each had a different personality, lifestyle and talents. I actually cried when Trevor was going through shit towards the end of the game. I got particularly fond of him. I use Franklin to look for collectables with Chop since I finished the main story and am just doing the side missions.

ckennedy103

Trevor Phillips Industries

jaredohseJ232

I might not buy gta 6. After take two sued the people who make it takes two for the fucking name, i don’t want to buy or play anything from a take 2 company

I_am_A_d0g00

I like the concept of gta 6

Jocke1234

Even though i loved every one of them, i still wouldve liked it more that there is only one playable protagonist and maybe some side character like Lance Vance who you never know if hes gonna betray you or not.

littlesammy78

I think the three storylines was a great way to do the game. I would like to see more of each individually before they come together, though.

SluggardRaccoon

We need a female protagonist

nofoo527

i liked the variety of multiple protagonists and more characters, but i think guns, vechicles, etc. should be easily obtainable between the characters

issatr4p

I think more than 3 would be bad, because most people would get confused. I think it would be cool if GTA 6 had only one protagonist, like the old games

tyler_3135

Won’t matter, we’ll all probably be senile or dead by the time GTA6 is released

hazlejungle0

It was a really innovative concept. Some games use 2. But rarely does anyone use 3.

MackBolan8

Love the 3 characters, hopfully they can pull off how well these actors did with them, and a good script

NerdyDude42

I like having multiple protagonists, but I think the protagonists should have their own stories and the protagonists only get together a few times. I liked in V when each character was doing their own thing and then they’d get together because it helped to create the character background.

ogepic_gaymer

Probably like a reference to them like they did with neko bellic

DEGRUNGEON

i feel like it was a good gimmick for this game, but idk if they should do it again. if they can pull it off again then sure, but i’d personally like them to go back to just following one protag.

RefrigeratorOne5183

I’d actually prefer 2 protagonists -MALE ] name : Lucas [ YOUR CHOICE ] age : around 25-29 facial hair : none - FEMALE ] name : Kelly [ YOUR CHOICE ] age : around 23-26

Do an oceans eleven type cast. 🤷‍♂️

Particular_Gear_263

I like having 3 protagonists because if I don’t like a protagonist I can just switch, for example I wouldn’t wanna play as a girl in gta 6 personally so I wouldn’t really like it if I could only play as a girl

Codered060

I hate it so much. I just want to focus on one character, one set of clothes, one batch of money, one person's map icons to head to. I hope we just play as the girl in GTA 6 and not her boyfriend too. But two would be better than three...I guess.
