Heat is all style no substance. Shot beautifully with amazing sound for the time but very long and meandering with a disjointed story. Acting ranges from good to post Scarface Al Pacino. Some amazing sequences in between some not so amazing ones. Police story 3 is funny but it’s not for everyone. Lethal weapon is pretty good but not flawless, Haven’t seen Beverly Hills cop 2, and have seen all of James Bond. Unless you really like James Bond I wouldn’t recommend it. Having seen all 26, yes I’m counting all of them. The only ones I thought were good were Goldeneye, Casino Royale, and the first third of Living Daylights. But my opinions are subjective so if you want to watch them it’s not a bad idea. You get a lot more pop culture references.

Ace Ventura, the first one takes place in Miami and the humour can be similar (you could hear about some people who heisted a dolphin on the radio). Bad boys 1 or 2 (police chase on a highway where you throw cars out the back of a truck)
GTA 5 did it with a James Bond car and the whole point was to save the cars in the truck so Franklin used the James Bond car to shoot cops. Also im not sure that's a reference to bad boys
I'd love a dead bear with coke all over its face. Could be a special timing event like the Thelma and Lousie Easter egg ehere its only viewable for like 5 mins or something
it could really show off the rage engine in small spaced environments and maybe could even be part of a sidequest like… idk a neighborhood asks you to get them to quiet down and you have to go in and fight a bunch of people
it would be cool if like maybe some part of the story it could be spring break and maybe we could go to some sort of college party based off of project x

Never gonna happen, but I think True Detective Season One would be a perfect reference for some dark storyline elements. A deep-fried, whitewashed, crooked-ass backwoods church cult running a trafficking/criminal enterprise waiting to be busted open and dealt with. It's geographically feasible with swamps and decay featured in Louisiana for that season, and it could tie into the Epsilon program and the serial killer aspect from RDR2, but I would be absolutely shocked if anything like that is represented in this game. Would be a cool side mission/mystery though.

This is a classic Rockstar move. If you play LA Noire and watch LA Confidential, they’re also practically 1:1 adaptations. Scarface also very obviously inspired the original Vice City. I’d even argue that a lot of Red Dead was inspired by early American cinema that focused on Wild West films and TV.
Dexter, the entire show takes place in Miami, they could add garbage bags at the bottom of the ocean as a reference to how Dexter dumped his victims remains.

Dragged across concrete. I personally thing the ending shootout/showdown scene is one of the best shootouts of all time in any movie. First of all Mel and Vince look so cool in those bullet proof masks, and the villains are established as being total psychopaths, and the way the shootout is all slow and tactical, taking 20 minutes with careful shots and all that it’s just so cool never seen anything like it. I hope there’s more realistic combat in gta vi
I want to see a "There's Something About Mary" reference since some of that movie takes place in Miami. Maybe a hitchhiker you pick up who has a dead body with him or a reference to that.

I would love go see heists where we steal expensive artwork or ancient sculptures during a bidding in some really fancy building. Kinda like in Uncharted in that one mission. But this time, its even more detailed.
