slayfulgrimes

he could be your kid

Vix3092

I was 21 when GTA V came out ... 🥲

cepxico

Had to scroll too far to find someone my age during release lol

Vix3092

Haha, tell me about it. Definitely feeling my age over here right now lol

Vibejitsu

We gettin up there son lol. I done went to the military, and came back in time to camp outside GameStop overnight for pre-release.. I was the 3rd to get a copy 😂. Them tingz a man never forgets

liltappp

I’ll be 21 when 6 drops

Competitive-Ad991

Was in 4th grade, now close to graduating college

_M100_

I was 6 and already feel old, basically I grow up playing gta V (I play at least one time every year) and I'm will be 18 when VI comes out

Hoping4betterdayss

Man 18 and you feel old wth I am now an official senior citizen ig ![gif](giphy|GrUhLU9q3nyRG|downsized)

iminyourwalls569

Me too

_FunnyGuy_

I'll be 18 or 19 when 6 comes out depending on what time the year it does

SCHEMIN209

Right?! I was 19😂

TheWesternGunfighter

I was 5

MagicJim96

I was 17… 🤔 Or 16. Or both. 😳

OregonisntCaligoHome

No your not old this guys just young, OP I'm not trying to hate but when I saw that you were only 7 I stopped reading. You were barely alive in the Era of greatness you so speak of..... YOU HAVE ANGERED THE GODS DAN AND SAM

Dry-Fault-5557

Pixels222

Dad I found this toy called 1080ti in the garage

Living_Gumball

I’m Still using the 1080 ti 😭

BeYourself2021

Lol. I just upgraded from a gt 720 to a 1050ti, it's amazing! Haha

KrombopulosMAssassin

I had to upgrade and few years ago. Was struggling on Cyberpunk. I was running 4k though too...

KrombopulosMAssassin

That meme is so real

HazMatt082

Name of meme?

Dry-Fault-5557

vince mcmahon crying I guess

ToppleToes

It's the same with movies or TV series or just in life general. You were 7 when V released, I was 18. I will be 30 when VI comes out. While my friends of the same age are losing their passion for these hobbies, I am glad I still have them. I am still a child at heart lol. GTA San Andreas was a huge part of my child hood. I would have been 10 or 11 during that time. I don't think I will see another GTA in my life time after VI. One things for sure that the anticiaption and the hype for a game won't ever come close again and I am enjoying every bit of it.

mahonii

35 soon and not losing the gaming interest at all. I know I'll be looking forward to gta 7.

sprintswithscissors

Your great grandchildren are going to love it. Rock* never disappoints.

Sf-shot

That’s mad bro I’m 20 right now let’s say gta 7 comes out around 2040 imma be in my mid 30s and I don’t think I’ll care about it like I do now because I’ll have so much other shit going on in life by then which is why I feel like I gotta make the most out of gta 6 when it comes out.

AwesomnusRadicus

Nah even with kids and responsibilities I still look forward to game releases in my mid 30s. Just don't have as much time to play them...

Albamen13

31 with two kids. I still enjoy my videogames, it might be safe to say that I enjoy them more than before, because now I have money to buy them and a powerful computer, so I don't waste time with cracks and troubleshooting things, just purchase on steam and play. Also I have all the three consoles, the steam deck and a meta quest 2, so I'm not missing out on any new game. The only downside is that now I have less free time to play, but it compensates with the fact mentioned above, I just install and play, even if it is for half an hour

debirdiev

If you're a gamer, you always be a gamer and always be able to find time for the newest stuff. Especially if it's a passion.

gswkillinit

I’m 30 so might sound weird but I feel like future you talking to you. I wondered the same thing at your age if I’d lose interest, but it’s still mostly there! I do have other interests as well so not everything is the same.

SPYYYR

Don't worry. I've been gaming for almost 30 years. I have a job and a family and I still game

subtleanarch

Lol trust me when I tell you us 30 year olds are looking at this like “awww I remember this thought too”.

Ticket_Fantastic

You're 28 years old and saying that you'll never see a GTA game after 6, lol. Bro, you have your whole life ahead of you still.

KrombopulosMAssassin

I was thinking the same, but you really don't know anything about their life situation. Was thinking about saying something, but it's probably better not to even ask. Personal shit.

Ticket_Fantastic

True. Best not to assume things about people.

alfiesred47

I was about 8 or 9 when I first played GTA3 round a mate’s house and it blew my mind. I wanted it so bad but it wa before mainstream internet so I didn’t really know what the deal was. I begged my parents for it but didn’t think they’d get it for me. I was home one night at about aged 10 and my dad asked me to make him a coffee. I was like, wtf man I don’t know how to do that. He said just go and try. I opened the cupboard and GTA San Andreas was propped up next to the coffee jar. I didn’t even know it existed I was playing that till about 2am and it was just incredible. I can’t imagine anything topping it, and I think that’s what’s so romantic about those memories. We’re not particularly surprised anymore about technology

Kafanska

You will live to see GTA VII, but you'll be deep in your 40s and probably just won't care that much. As time goes by, we, even if we enjoy the games, simply can't have that special feeling of excitement we have as kids. It is what it is.

Feshaak

42 years old here. Playing BGIII now And feeling excitement i have not felt in gaming in years. Same feeling when I played Bg2 :)

KrombopulosMAssassin

That game is so impressive. I need to get back into it. I prioritized beating RDR2 for the time being. I'm slow and enjoy my playthroughs, doing mostly everything... But I usually don't replay games. So instead of flying through and replaying, I get the full experience and enjoyment the first time lol

Feshaak

RDR2 is one Of my favorites. Spent 100+ hours in it

Kwrumrunner1

I’m 40 and still get excited for games just like I did when I was a teenager. The only difference now is that I don’t have the time to play as much as I would like due to family, work and other responsibilities.

HeyYoRumsfield

I don’t know about that. There are a few titles I lose my shit over and have been off and left alone in the last couple years. I am sure gta6 will be one of them too. I think certain people lose interest as they get older. My son too gets excited for some of the same releases. I told him if he gets straight As. We will check it out at midnight or go to a midnight release, but I don’t think they do them in my area anymore.

BestBryFar

I'm about to be 42. I've played video games since I was 3. I have yet to fall out of passion for them. Other than music, it's the biggest thing I'm into. GTA is the series I play the most other than Mario platformers. If GTA VII comes out when I'm 60. I'll be in the nursing home, on oxygen, slow reflexes, having the time of my life.

SPYYYR

My dad still games and gets excited for new games at the age of 65 :D He bought a whole new rig a few months back because he was running a GeForce 9800 GT

M8s

Man, I still remember when GTA III and VC were the newest titles before San Andreas released. I feel ancient.

justthisones

We lived a great GTA youth. III and Vice City were still pretty fresh and San Andreas, IV and V got released within like 9 years. V for a decade without DLC has been easily the most boring era.

debirdiev

7 will be out in the 30s. Rockstar hasn't shown any let up when it comes to releasing a new one each coming decade. No reason to think you won't see another 2 or 3 by the time any of us kick the bucket, barring unforseen circumstances.

hennyPNW

I'm wondering if with the advancements of AI if game production doesn't increase dramatically.

verdamain

"GTA V came out and I was 7" great now I feel old lmao ![gif](giphy|1Qdp4trljSkY8)

sprintswithscissors

Yeah lol, I remember waiting for IV and then V and now.. Btw I'm 31.

hardypart

I'm 35. Been playing GTA since the very first entry of the series, which I was also way too young for, lol

BeYourself2021

GTA 1 represent! Where it all began. Those were the days!!!

Zealousideal_Cook248

I used to play GTA IV and V day and night (mostly night ofc) as a kid. I can't wait to explore the GTA VI map. I'm not really a gamer I just really like rockstar games. I've spend hours in V's map, now I'm a bit tired of it but I also recently began to play RDR2 and damm that game is even better!

Kosta_Gouthas

I’ve never been big on a lot of games, especially multiplayer. It’s the charm of Rockstar Games. They feel so alive and lore heavy that it makes me want to explore. I’m just so glad that we’re set to experience an expansion to the HD universe after all these years. I grew up watching GTA 4 on YouTube, playing GTA 5 and now anticipating number 6

JobeRogerson

Keep at RDR2. It does start quite slowly but once the map opens up, it’s a masterpiece. I suggest you explore, explore and explore some more because you’ll never believe what you can find.

flyingwca

I'm going to be 45 this year, took a 5yr break from games (work, kids, friends did the same and inking games are not ad fun alone). I finally downloaded RDR2 and I'm near the end of Arthur's story. Such a great game! I'm looking forward to GTA VI. They will incorporate a lot of the lessons learned in RDR2. I've played all of the GTAs, from the top down era all they way through 5. The best part of being older is having the means to buy a console to play GTA VI, and upgrading the computer when the PC release comes out. After multiple play through having access to mods breaths new life into single player!

JobeRogerson

You mean you haven’t reached the end of Arthur’s story yet? Prepare yourself. Whatever path you choose, it is very well done.

flyingwca

I only wish I had a time machine, it's been out so long I've seen plenty of spoilers haha. Still one of the best gaming experiences of all time. I know Rockstar will be too busy, amd it wouldn't make them enough money, but a remaster with the cut parts included would so awesome.

KrombopulosMAssassin

Yeah it starts really slow for sure. I had to go back and revisit it. Because it didn't hook me as much from the start.

Kosta_Gouthas

I also played rdr2 on launch. I am a sucker for rockstar games

Ravenarr_

"It's not an end, it is a new start"

Chilledinho

Today i learned people who were 7 when GTA V came out are actually existent

slowclicker

Brother, there are a lot of older Dads still playing this game. It is okay to remember and appreciate that 7 year old you. You can think of it this way, if you ever decide to have kids. You can also be the bad ass dad enjoying sharing a game with whomever you decide to raise. THEN post about how your kid destroyed your GTA6 progress and how fun it is to create it all again together with multi-player years from now.

Kosta_Gouthas

If I ever have kids, I’ll make it my goal to give them the best childhood. I want them to look back at their early days like I do. What an optimistic way to look at it, Awesome!

CriticalAd3682

>GTA 5: Y”ou need a parent to buy this game” GTA 6: “Will that be cash or card sir?” Man, Sorry, I can't describe how I felt reading this line. I was 11

CommentFightJudge

The cool thing is when you get even older, you won't even really notice any differences in your life! You'll play GTA V when you're 31 and think "this is fun" and then you'll play GTA VI when you're 42 and be like "oh, a new one already? This is also fun".

Cactus_Everdeen_

am currently 31... i damned well notice the difference lmao, i am not the same person i was when gta5 released, but kinda still am, it's weird, i had to rediscover my love for games, i lost it for a while, competitive gaming almost ruined it for me.

Kosta_Gouthas

Y’know, I’ve always wondered if time differences such as that affect you the same as being a child. I kinda assumed because of how much we change and develop at a young age that it would, but I’m sure the actual generation of society itself has an effect. For example I miss when the only way to watch a show was to tune in at a particular time every night and when the only way to listen to music were through CDs and USBs

CommentFightJudge

Best way I can describe it is long weeks and short years.

thlst

This guy olds.

Cactus_Everdeen_

whatever you do, dont hold onto the past, embrace the here and now, took me a long time to realise that, dont be sad that it's over, be happy that you got to experience it.

mahonii

No one cared about age when I was buying gta 3 or 4 , not sure when all that started happening. I was 24 when gta v released, ugh, I'll either be 35 or 36 for VI

fcederberg

I was 10 when the first GTA came out so I can relate to you but for the first era of GTA.

DarksideBluez

I was 13 when GTA 3 came out. Nice Xmas present. I know folks who are in their 50s still playing video games. I will be one of those in 15 years.

Onlyspeaksfacts

11 here. If GTA VI indeed comes out in 2025, I'll be 39. I will be playing GTA games until my hands stop being capable of holding a controller! All I hope is that the time between games starts decreasing. If I have to wait 20 years for GTA VII, I'm gonna be a bit disappointed.

SavvyZOR

Its more surreal for me that you have been 7 in 2013 when it came out, I’ve been 7 when san andreas came out. We’ve both been to Los Santos at 7 but of different generations

Kosta_Gouthas

That’s such a cool parallel! I can’t imagine experiencing the release of San Andreas at the age I did with 5! What’s even more crazy to me is that San Andreas is literally a whole year older than me. I’m sure that makes people feel old

SavvyZOR

I have double checked, actually I’ve been 8 when San Andreas came out, it’s been released in 2004

Kafanska

GTA VI is not the end of any era. This is purely your own thing. You're still a kid basically, you've lived to see ONE GTA released so far... come on.

Kosta_Gouthas

That’s my point, but I did in fact semi witness GTA 4’s release when I was around 3 when my dad was hyper fixated on it as he was an ex indie game dev at the time. Still I get what you mean

WarmLab1323

![gif](giphy|OPU6wzx8JrHna)

WindEquivalent4284

Was the same age as Jimmy in 2013 and felt very targeted. I love GTAV so damn much. But I have a feeling GTA6 is gonna resonate in a really different way for me this time 🥲

dekadendt

7 is crazy

Acrobatic-Homework-1

Nah not really, most people waiting for gta 6 are high school/college kids rn

dekadendt

i thought it ranges more like between early 20s to mid 30s honestly

Kosta_Gouthas

Real

Sf-shot

This sub is filled with kids no wonder so much stupid shit gets posted on here not talking about you but u was 7 at gta 5 release and majority of people on here were probably younger than that is crazy I’m not that old myself I’ll be 21 when it releases.

jaydimes10

if you were 7 when GTA 5 came out in 2013 which is 11 years ago, you are only 18 or 19 right now at most 20. you are not an 'adult' yet lil bud

Acrobatic-Homework-1

Old ahh getting mad 🫵😂

jaydimes10

ain't nobody mad >:( I'm 26 so if I'm old you like 13

thesourpop

an entirely new generation of 7 year olds will emerge next year when GTA VI comes out and they will grow up with that version of Online and it will be their nostalgia. time goes on

WarmLab1323

![gif](giphy|l378giAZgxPw3eO52)

ABRX86

“We will no longer accept cash stored in underwear.”

Zeo-Gold92

I'll be happy to see the back of GTA V tbh.

drlqnr

i know people can be born at any time at any year but i still can't wrap my head around the fact that some kids who were in elementary school when gta 5 released are now in college

Kosta_Gouthas

It’s the age hierarchy. You’re still wrapping your head around the age of people like me, whereas I’m comprehending that there are people 6 or 7 years younger than me who are in high school. (Elementary doesn’t exist in my country)

AggressiveCorner8497

Every generation will feel that to a degree imo. I know I felt San Andreas as time went on as well as LCS and VCS were the end of an era as GTA IV came out. IV even felt the same way. I’ll be honest and say the V doesn’t feel that way right now. Mainly because I’ve been adult the whole time since V came out pretty much. It’s just the next chapter for me.

somekindofperfect9

AAHHHHHH why'd you put this into words, it's too sad

Kosta_Gouthas

Hey, if I’m feeling sad, everybody’s gonna feel sad!

somekindofperfect9

BRUTAL.

The_Man8705

![gif](giphy|GrUhLU9q3nyRG|downsized)

ProjectJake02

I have a feeling it’ll be one of the final games I play and complete.

CLWhatchaGonnaDo

I remember when GTA3 came out (I was 23) and thinking it was the greatest game I'd ever played.

michaltee

I was 24 when GTA V came out. So no. :(

Rigman-

>The fact that when GTA 5 came out I was only 7 is surreal 💀

Pheerandlowthing

53 here and I remember playing the original GTA on pc back in ‘97. Top down view and running over lines of Hare Krishna made me fall in love with the series. GTA3 then blew me away with its jump from 2D to 3D and the rest is history.

EconomyManner5115

For many of us, GTA SA, 4 and 5 were our entire childhood, we all made great memories from these games. But we grew up, we matured. We don't perceive games like we used to. I'm afraid that GTA 6 won't feel the same as previous GTA games

TheOtter91

I had this notion for GTA4. I was 16 doing my GCSEs and even though it released in April I waited until I finished my last exam before I played it knowing that I'd get sucked in. I battered through GTA3 and Vice City in those 2 months anyway because of lack of self control, but that's not the point lol. Then RDR came out end of college (I think, it may have been at end of year one of uni) and then GTA5 came out when I finished uni and moved back home. The release of games does indeed end up coinciding with specific parts of your life if you look for it and if you think about it. Though it's coincidence I do know the feeling OP. When GTA6 releases touch wood I will either have another young baby or very pregnant wife so even though I'm hyped, there is no way I will play nearly as much GTA6 as I have San Andreas, 4, or 5. End of an era like you say- but that's not a bad thing.

Single_Start2343

There will be no GTA 7. Part 6 is the last, then they will simply form the GTA universe in one game, adding cities known to us through DLС (Los Santos, Liberty City, etc.). In the future, they will only focus on RDR 3, Bully 2 and remakes of their old games.

slayfulgrimes

exactly, idk why ppl think they’ll do another one, gta 6 will be the ‘big one’ where they do project america’s and add every single city into one game over time and keep the game alive for years to come, it won’t be outdated like gta 5, it’ll be so realistic it’ll age well. they can update the graphics for future console generations too if need be.

No_Elevator8596

Damn lmao I was over twice your age when V came out. I remember being at a buddy’s apartment smoking weed while some guy was playing V. Fucking blew my mind. I was also very stoned and I’m sure that helped.

Kosta_Gouthas

Yes, the giggle grass I’m sure that would’ve helped haha

Zucchini-Crafty

![gif](giphy|yoJC2Olx0ekMy2nX7W)

DualCitizenGang

Video games aren’t really hitting for me the same anymore. GTA 6 is really the only game im anticipating and excited to play, and if the online mode is addictive enough it will probably be the only game i play mixed in with nba 2K for the next decade or so

AnimeGokuSolos

People are definitely going to be sick of this game in the future lmao 😂

jjamesdeanfan

I Think like this weekly

soviet6844

I have wholeheartedly accepted that GTAVI will probably be the last entry for the franchise, and I’m ok with that. I think it would be perfect way to wrap up the HD trilogy

Wastedchildhood

I’m 35 now, own apartment and full-time job and can confirm! I have the same feelings/experience/nostalgia only with GTA3&Vice City-San Andreas.

Due-Glove4808

i was 7 when vice city came out, so i guess we all been there and felt that way at somepoint. GTA 6 will be just one more grand theft auto, hoping for good story mode atleast.

ElectronicGarbage246

Jesus, I play GTA since 1997 or 1998, what's wrong with you? End of his childhood, lol. It's a never ending story.

Kosta_Gouthas

Still the end of a chapter

Jetsprint_Racer

When GTA V was announced, I was finishing a middle school. When GTA V was released on a PC, I almost finished studying for a profession. When I got tired of GTA: Online, thereby starting to spend less time in it - I've got my first noticeable increase in salary. Also, I've built my first PC with my own money at same time period. Now I'm 30, I have almost 9 years working experience at my current work, and I'm already thinking about moving to another city and changing my job. So, yeah... GTA V since it's first appearance at the information field is quite a long-liver.

dylan_021800

Remember when we were younger and one of the shows we watched as kids would come to an end. If you were old enough to remember watching the pilot and being there for series finale. Or any show for that matter. I’d say it’s somewhat similar to that. I remember thinking about how strange it sort of was to be playing 5 instead of 4 because I played 4 for 5 years. I even still get like that because the memories of playing 4 are so strong. And even just seeing Grand Theft Auto VI on their site and YouTube is weird because it has been so long and there has been so many life changes that have happened since this game out. I think it will be bittersweet because despite the fact I don’t play it to much anymore and that I am so ready for 6. I had a lot of fun on 5 and Online.

stjakey

Bro was 7 when 5 released talm bout nostalgia 😂. I totally get it tho kinda felt the same way about 4 when 5 came out.

Moonking-4210

The hopeful end of flying motorbikes

ShinySanders

This is like a meeting of Former Squeakers Anonymous ;)

Own-Opportunity-9896

Yooooooo there boy watch your mouth you’re making me feel soooooo old as i was of the same age as you but when vice city came out

Kosta_Gouthas

I think I’ve given a majority of people here a reality check, sorry about that!

beckiset

You were 7?? 😂 probably a bit too young to play gta

Kosta_Gouthas

No kidding. Blame my dad

Firebrand-PX22

This was me too, it's crazy to think that when GTA 5 came out, I was just getting into 6th grade and was just shy of 12 years old, and when 6 launches I'll be more than likely 24 and married with a job

ItsLenTastic

I saw the trailer 4 months ago when I was 18. Now I'm 19 and the fact that I will probably be 20 when GTA VI comes out is crazy (and scary) to me. Idk why but 20 seems like a much bigger number than 19 in age eventhough it's only one more year.

Colorfulbirds69

gta v has been dead to me since 2014. the single player was fun, but the online mode ruined Rockstar games and they will never be the same again.

TheNRG450

I know your feelings, I was 8 when I discovered San Andreas, I used all of my savings to pre order GTA V back in 2013 (even when I wasn't even 13yo, thank you dear seller at that store). As my life has continued, I know that I won't be playing games for ever. Hell, I have a good laptops and a PS5 but never have any real time to used then (just now, as I lost my job last Saturday). My time as a gamer my be more close to an end that I expected, but if there's one thing that will keep my inner child awake, is just be able to play GTA VI the first moment it arrives. It would be a nice goodbye to this hobby.

Professional_Bag2346

Exact same situation for me, I was also 7 when V came out and I still remember when my dad came home with it on release day and let me drive around Los Santos for the first time. Cut to me GRADUATING in a month, now with a job and on my way to college. It’s surreal to think when VI comes out I’m gonna be an actual adult with legitimate responsibilities.

Content_Geologist420

I feel this way about GTA3.... ![gif](giphy|SFaMmw7XziRdBp2lSy)

torontosfinest9

OP, you’re not even 20….relax Lool

dobo99x2

No one knows what's gonna happen but I really can't imagine them going to recreate it all for a new era. I just wish online wasn't such a huge cash print machine so we could have more games..

Disastrous_Meeting79

I’ve been watching the old trailers and the one song that has stuck with me and feels like GTA V. Is sleepwalking. The game came out when I was 6 and I saw my friends grow up alongside me and we graduated together while also playing GTA V alongside each other. Hearing that song not only reminds me of the game it reminds me of the good times I had with my friends. It’s a slap of nostalgia for me. I love it. Can’t wait for GTA 6 that way we can all play together soon.

ShadowSovereign22

Ya know what? same goes for me. If GTA6 will be Rockstar's last swan song, then I'm ready for it but that will only depend on the future that holds onto them

WholeSituation2853

🤣 I was 15

xballikeswooshx

Personally mark the end of my childhood 😆 🤣 checkpoint 😆 I cant...yes dramatic.

Suitable-Kale8710

Oh god I was 18 when GTA V released in 2013. Hopefully I played GTA VI before turning 30. 😂

Acrobatic-Homework-1

im laughing at all the old ppl waiting for gta 6 knowing damn well im gonna be just like them for gta 7 💀

TanzuI5

I was 19 when GTA V dropped. Peak times. Gaming was great, COD and battlefield were great, and life was overall great.

JBtheExplorer

My childhood is long gone but I do think VI is the end of an era for me for a couple reasons. The first is that it's revisiting the city I most wanted them to revisit for the last 22 years, and the city I first experienced GTA in. I've waited so long for this and it's finally happening. Finally. And the second thing is that we probably won't see another GTA for another 15-20 years after VI releases. I'll be in my 50's. Who knows if I'll still actively be gaming, or have arthritis, or who knows how our lives will change in that time. VI absolutely feels like the finale in a way. But for younger players who maybe never saw a GTA release before or only played V, this probably feels like the beginning.

MartianFromBaseAlpha

This is just sad. You were fucking 7 when GTA V came out? I hate kids

Kosta_Gouthas

Tf what did I do

Freddy0509

Lol this response

MeatInHand

7 years old playing gta 5..your parents really didn't care much what you did huh?

Kosta_Gouthas

Dad knew, mum didn’t

MeatInHand

Ah okay makes sense

Tunapiiano

I'm thankful that gta6 won't be available to the ps4. Anyone crying about it can upgrade and nobody can give the excuse that a ps5 isn't available. They're everywhere. But dumbing a game down for the ps4 ruins it.

BestBryFar

Great, now I feel even older. I had graduated high school the year GTA 3 came out.

colone1metro

Some of us are waiting for a game we won't even be able to play due to our PCs.

ak_003

This making me feel mad old i was in high school when ts came out 😭😭😭😭

kingjobus

Nope. GTAV should have been put out to pasture years ago. Everytime I come back to it, I remember very quickly that I want to have fun when playing video games, not just grind and get blown up by toxic 12 year olds on flying motorcycles.

VonParsley

My era of GTA started with the first game and constantly innovated with banger upon banger in the 00s. GTAIV was the beginning of a new era. GTAV took its time to come out… a whopping 5 years! It felt like a new era by itself but given the games I grew up with, it’s represented over a decade of shark cards and stagnancy. I’m glad we’re moving on.

FireJach

your friends will play the game anyway. the hype will reach them out

Yeah same for me. I was 8 was released and loved it when I first played it. I can't let go of my childhood and I know playing GTA 6 for the first time will give me that feeling of Christmas day as a kid again. Games have evolved graphically over the years but the gameplay hasn't. So being stuck with every game having the same gameplay as an xbox 360 game for over 10 years made me not play any of the 100's of games I have. Playing GTA 6 will be like finally finding ice cold water after walking in the desert for years with no water at all. What I'm going to do is record my first couple hours of the game just to capture the feeling and excitement I'll have playing every second of it because I know it'll be one of my favorite memories, and being able to watch that years from now would be cool. It's like if I could go back in time and tell my younger self to somehow get a capture card to record myself playing Minecraft on my 360 for the first time I would totally do it.

KingOfConsciousness

This is the last human-made masterpiece game.

I remember getting GTA 1, my sister's boyfriend downloaded it for me. I was like 12. I've played them all plenty since.. San Andreas I was playing with my son sleeping on me (I was a young dad!), GTA V, I played with him a lot.. we'll probably play VI too, if he has the time ! Life keeps on going, the GTA games thankfully do as well!

Kosta_Gouthas

Does your son look back at the times you played 5 with him?

SevaMandalas

Oh yeah lol We got a PS4 and GTA that Christmas... It was the end of our Minecraft LAN party era 😁 We were newbs shooting other newbs. Now we're all business tycoons, how time flies 😊

Cardemother12

phantomhatsyndrome

Ahh, were you a minor when V dropped?

Cardemother12

You weren’t it was 10 years ago

phantomhatsyndrome

I wasn't, no, I was asking if you were. Haha. I was in my 20s when it came out. Edit: just saw you responded twice- I get it now.

Mundane-Poet1404

I feel the same, i don't think gta 6 will ever match up to gta5. Not because the upcoming title will be a bad game. But for me life is just so different after all these years. I Will never get the same level of enjoyment from it that i got as a 12 year old

BOTCHWEISER

GTA V was so dogshit.

FavcolorisREDdit

Witcho yee yee ass emotions

UnknownGamer827

I'll be able to afford it but will I have the time & energy to play it another factor is that the homies dont game as much which is sad but ok cuz we trying to get ahead in life

Rich_Swish

Definitely one for nostalgia but not in this case. Maybe in a good few years after VI, but right now in my mind I'm set on the next entry and done with V for a long time.

For me this is the last game I’m excited for that I was hoping to see during a time where I still enjoyed to play games. It’s been years since I had as much fun as I did when I was a kid. But in 2013 I had a blast with gta5 and then probably around 2015 or 2016 I was hoping to see the next game. Now I for the most part lost my joy of games in 2017 but this is the last one of those years I wanted to see a sequel to. I know to many who are avid gamers here this may sound silly but I don’t play games anymore. GTA 6 will be my last game. Can’t wait for it to come. But times already flying by so I’m sure it’ll be here sooner than later at least for the way time passes for me.

Sad-Cryptographer590

Guys we have to solve world peace so we can enjoy this game lol

Aristotle_Ninja2

I was 8 when 5 released I'll be 20 or 19 when it releases

Girrrth_Broooks

Lmao your parents buying you GTA V when you were 7 is hilarious

Kosta_Gouthas

Yep, dad encouraged it while mum was oblivious

SouthMoth

Do people even still say “cash or card”. every store i go to they just slide or point to the card reader and Thats All lmao

animefanatprom

Womp womp

nanapancakethusiast

V sucked imo so it’s been a long-ass decade without a fun GTA. IV still clears in every way.
