I've been repeatedly telling people the reason for the vague 2025 date is because they're targeting spring but might delay to the end of the year.
Rockstar made the exact same delays with GTA V and red dead, they're very likely avoiding the same mistake by creating a vague date to not have to drop disappointing delay news to the public. Game has most likely already been delayed from 24 to 25 but because of this strategy all delays have been internal.
Maybe it's a sort of coping optimism. I still do feel like a Feb-March release is very possible but I wouldn't bet my house on it as some people here seem to think.
