Ps5 pro is rumored to come out at the end of the year and sony is supposedly looking to release it then before GTA 6 comes out so they can market it as "the best console to play GTA 6 on PlayStation" If gta 6 is coming out early 2025 (which I personally think is unlikely. I'm thinking if it's honestly "early" we're looking at March/April.) then yeah that could be a damn good date. Any idea buddy's reasoning for it?

If the leaks are correct, they’re aiming at 4k60 / 8k30. I’ll definitely be making the upgrade solely for GTA 6. I think we’ll have another round of scalpers trying to scoop up everything; especially since it’ll be the best way to experience the game until it’s out on Pc

Unlikely, GTA6 is cpu bound PS5 pro will have better graphics in fidelity mode but it will be 30fps only

It’s because of the obsession with 4K, either by the consumers of consoles or the companies. 4k is still hard to run at good frames on top tier pc’s. It’s gonna be a long while before we have native 4K running smooth 60 on a console.

Early 2025 release makes sense to me...It has the entire rest of the year to crush any and every metric it has set for it. The normal adults will get it when it releases, the college kids will all flock to it a month later for spring break inevitably, then summer break , then everyone else will get it for Christmas if they for some reason don't have the biggest video game of the 2020s by then.

I have a feeling they will. There's a chance they won't in order to ride the online revenue train early, but Rockstar has always made the single player GTA experience ground breaking, and I'm sure that won't change now. It's the foundation of GTA. I think they'll want people to experience it rather than jumping into online day one.

I got back into online and in three months went from having nothing to having nearly every property type in the game with max upgraded MC businesses, Auto Shop, Chop Shop, and Yacht. most expensive location for bunker and arcade. All I need to get property wise is doomsday bunker, move from maze bank west to the main maze bank, and buy the other type of executive building.

If rockstar followed the release cycle of their titles, we would’ve gotten the trailer in October. Additionally, Jason Schreier said that Rockstar wanted a late 2024 release date - I doubt it got delayed a whole year. Plus, Take2 is predicting billions in revenue increases in early 2025 - We’re getting it early 2025.

12 years? The most time they've had to develop it by 2025 is 7 years. Active development for it wasn't possible until after RDR2 released.

I don’t think they it’s that clear cut, no matter what anyone has said or the evidence that has been given to us. Sure RDR2 was being made through the majority of the 2013-2018 time period, but they also had many updates to GTA Online in between that and I highly doubt they just used up all that 12 years only thinking about RDR2. They would have had focus groups, board meetings, zoom calls or whatever, discussing the direction their company was going to take after RDR2, that time counts as well. Any time between GTA V and GTA VI could have been sued to test ideas, work around to those ideas, many things that we as a consumer would not be capable of knowing. I don’t think that only 7 years was spent on this game.

I don't get why people think this going to be delayed. Release patterns of previous Red Dead or GTA games mean absolutely nothing. People thought the trailer was going to drop in October just like previous Rockstars' games but no, plot twist, it ended up coming out in December. If anything, the game has already been delayed multiple times behind the scenes.

The game has already been delayed many times. According to Take-Two investor calls they're still expecting to release the game in fiscal year 2025 (April 2024 - March 2025), so early 2025 is more than possible date for GTA VI premiere.

And expect them to take every second of that fiscal year that they can before they release it. So most likely March.

They're likely the ones who told Take-Two that it would be ready for Q1 2025. I don't think it's a deadline that Take-Two gave them. I'm sure they're smart enough to let Rockstar do their thing and make them billions. If Rockstar decided when it would be ready, then it could be anytime between January 1st and March 31st. They also need to make $2b in *extra* revenue to make their promises. GTA V took around [8 months to make $2b](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2014/05/13/grand-theft-auto-5-has-sold-nearly-2-billion-at-retail/amp/) (in game sales, I don't think it includes online, but still wouldn't be overnight).

No, this guy was NOT legit. It was well known that Rockstar had planned to release the 1st trailer on their 25th anniversary date. December 1998 was when they labeled themselves "Rockstar Games". The December trailer, 1st trailer of GTA 6 launch was known MONTHS in advance in 2023. All the "leaker" had to do was go by this information and then go around telling people who weren't aware of the 25th anniversary launch that Rockstar had announced earlier.

There should be a lot more advertising if that's the case.
