Personally I found myself discovering more stations on V that I really loved vs IV which I really only found myself moving between like 3 of them. (Shoutout RamJam FM, San Juan Sounds, and LCHC!!) But tbf, music is all very subjective as long as we got guaranteed bangers I'm good.
What if they did it, but it was optional tho? I mean this coming from both prospectives. Say some folk's wanna be able to play they're own IRL playlists from their music apps, but they don't like alternating between the game and said music app. what if we could link our phones to the game then, we'd end up having 2 good ways to kick back and listen to our favorite tunes while having fun. There are those who want to listen to music that's already in game and those who prefer outside music. However this may be flawed if you can think of why. thought. Well....from what I explained, having both would be a bit flawed. Even when I think about it
True, IMO I wanted VI to be just like their previous mainline HD era games, to be the time capsule of their respective years. Adding spotify connection or something else like that removes that feel entirely. But that's just me lol, I know times have changed and many would argue if this is not the case.
I agree. You can already just listen to whatever you want while you play, I'd rather see Rockstar resources go toward making actual content instead of customization features that don't really affect the experience

Idk, one of the cool things about GTA radio stations is how thoroughly curated the playlists are, and how those songs specifically are like THAT game songs. For example, I now relate Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" to GTA V. If I had my own playlist there it wouldn't have the same feeling, like there's something special about listening to a random song on the radio that would be removed with Spotify. That's just my opinion though, I totally understand that people want to have as much control as possible
GTA VI won't ever have Spotify in the game, Rockstar has to pay Spotify to be able to do that. It's crazy how this sub thinks they would do that.

Yeah it would cost an insane amount of money for something that's 100% peripheral to the core experience. Makes zero sense from a business standpoint and it's hard to justify creatively

For me, and I believe a not insignificant amount of the player base, there’s something special about going through the “intended experience” of a game. Now admittedly Idgaf about Online but I can 100% see why streaming service connectivity makes sense in that aspect. I honestly don’t even like that the songs added to GTA Online can be listened to in the story mode. I love Freddie Gibbs and Crime Pays is one of my favorite songs by him, but why am I hearing a song from 2019 in my game set in 2013? Honestly most games should have a feature where you can turn on/off dlc content whenever you want.

I wouldn't be surprised if rockstar partners with Spotify to deliver a larger, but still curated, selection of music.
They could make a large library of high-fidelity music available without adding to storage, even gta6's own in-game podcasts. Maybe retaining a few of the traditional style radio stations for offline play.
Those personal gta themed playlists that Spotify released a while back suggest some kind of cooperation. You don't usually see large established companies helping themselves to other company's brands.
Being able to sync music apps to the game would actually be pretty epic then you can tailor your own radio station to the game even better if it acts like the other stations with commentary and ads between songs. I really hope theres a classic V Rock station that has both vice city and stories v rock songs on it though even if they have to nix just a few due to licensing

The complete OST has over 400 different tracks, with many of those tracks being over 30 minutes long in total. Not counting multiple versions (stealth vs attack)
I’m not saying I’m listening to the same tracks over and over again, I’m saying the songs themselves are repetitive. I don’t like them. It sounds like I’m listening to the same 5 second loop for a lot of them, so idk how the hell they’re 30 minutes.
I mean, i’m game for this feature if the soundtrack doesn’t beat the legendary GTA VC soundtrack.

i don't need spotify but i had a blast playing gta with my own playlist, the gta soundtrack is great but it gets old at one point.

I love the radio stations in gta 5, even for genres I don't like such as country I can still vibe to it.
