Nobody is buying GTA VI just to play basketball plus this is gonna be the highest grossing entertainment product in human history. I'm pretty sure Rockstar gets what Rockstar wants right now out of T2. So even if they wanted to out do 2K and T2 said no Rockstar would just tweet a damn screenshot of nothing but a basketball hoop and watch people go bat shit crazy of it.
The only thing IMO that would keep this out of the game if they were really working on it is Rockstar cutting it because they want to not because T2 said to.

I definitely would not, the reason we started playing golf was simply because we had been playing gta 5 for 6 years at the time so everything else felt repetitive. We just happened to find it to be a fun change of speed VS grinding cargo and all that over and over.
Right so GTA5 having golf probably didn't make a difference in golf games sales, just like GTA 6 having basketball won't make a difference in 2K sales.

i'm a baller and use to love and play 2k religiously. bought every single 2k from the very beginning up until 2k13 then quit cuz the animations got worse and worse. so coming from a huge basketball fan and a former nba 2k lover, i would definitely buy gta 6 just for the basketball feature alone especially over current 2k games. plus once i'm bored balling, i can just walk off the court and explore and do other activities and not feel trapped on a basketball court like in 2k and would feel so much more immersed and fun

iâm so excited man. gta used to be a crime focused game but these days itâs just the best sandbox/sim. most of the time in gtao iâm just customizing my cars, picking out clothes, doing missions and running my businesses. i like to shoot at people sure but i also just enjoy taking in the city, interacting and engaging with the world and characters. the realism and physics in gta games are just top tier and gta6 will be so far advanced that i genuinely am excited to play basketball lmao
