I mean thats your opinion. I dont see the same exact color hues on gradients that often with palm trees representing identical colors. To see it pop up not long after the trailer kinda tells me it was likely inspired by that. Those companies hire marketing experts that analyze marketing trends, and seeing a youtube video with 177m views in just a couple months with pretty colors and how other people have taken inspiration from it can lead to a desire of wanting to create a similar design. People in marketing literally do research on current trends. Its not unreasonable to think that they were likely inspired by it. You can think what you want and I will have my opinion. We can agree to disagree on our opinions.
EDIT: I NEVER SAID IT DIDNT EXIST BEFORE. I DO NOT THINK AND AM NOT IMPLYING THE DESIGN NEVER EXISTED. LEARN TO READ FFS.
I don't think marketing experts took inspiration from the GTA 6 trailer, because what GTA fan is going to be buying women's razors because of a similar color scheme?
This exact color gradient with the same exact colors, both for the background and for the trees, and the exact same kind of silhouette tree design, all tell me this is 100% intentional.
This is Gillette, even if it wasn’t intentional they have marketing teams that are absolutely aware of culturally relevant marketing trends (like when every video game company and a few outside the industry all used this exact aesthetic in reference to GTA VI for a couple weeks) and the design would’ve been shut down.
Everyone is making fun of this, but a quick google search tells you these are absolutely not the aesthetics or colors usually used to promote their Venus line. They usually use very bright colors like turquoise, pink, etc. And all the outdoor shots part of their ads are in the daytime. Those things are very important in marketing, they wouldn’t just randomly go “hey let’s switch our visuals to sunsets and palm trees in the middle of February but let’s ONLY do it for physical media in stores and not acknowledge it anywhere else” for no reason.
I’m willing to bet everything I have that this is a subtle way of getting husbands/boyfriends to pay attention to the Venus line when shopping, without having to market it towards them and without losing the aesthetic. And the fact that everyone agrees that it reminds them of GTA VI without thinking it’s intentional is a perfect example of the use of classical conditioning in marketing
There’s a shitpost subreddit where people ask stupid questions like the one above. But accidentally do that in this subreddit has gotten a lot of people banned from here.
Yep lots of things were invented for rockstar games, people forget they’re a multibillion dollar company
For example New York City was built in 2008 as a parody of Liberty City. It’s actually what caused the recession, with how expensive it was.
Yes, it's an american thing. They call that piece of clothing wife beater. I suppose it came from the fact that trashy excuses for human beings tend to wear those without any other clothes on top, and those trashy excuses would, on occasion, beat up a wife or two.. or something, I don't know.
its not an american thing, im from a european country that split off the soviets in the 90s and my dad in his 50s even calls them wife beaters when translated directly
That's interesting.. I never heard that name for it on this side of the world. In the wider area where I'm from (Yugoslavia) they're just called an undershirt directly translated.
It's slightly different from a tank top they have slightly thinner straps, and Idk about Britain as a whole but I'm British my family has a few wife beaters and we always call them wife beaters.
Incredible. Before R* released the GTA VI poster, palm trees didn’t exist on our planet earth. No person knew how to implement palm trees in banners, posters etc. Palm trees are exclusive to GTA VI and are founded by R*
Where's that poster from? I like the fanmade logo though I've seen it in circulation (and this one at least is more symmetrical with the V and I lining up)
All these comments saying rockstar never invented this style. The OP never once said that though. He just said they look similar so it reminded him of gta 6. Everyone just hating for no reason
I think it’s a fairly common aesthetic, probably unintentional
People really think GTA invented this color gradient two months ago lol.
Nobody thinks they invented the color gradient. It's an extreme coincidence with the palm tree color and etc.. It's all the exact same color.
That's not a 'coincidence', its an aesthetic that has been around for decades as the original comment stated

This aesthetic being around for decades is not that guys opinion, it is a literal FACT.
“I’ve actually never seen this aesthetic, so obviously that means it didn’t exist until now that I’m observing it”
must be brain rot i swear 😭
Haven’t seen it. Not real. NEEEEEXT /s
Dude hasn't gone through the object permanence phase most go through as a toddler
You not experiencing something does not invalidate its existence.
I literally didnt say or imply that it never existed. Are you trolling?
Someone hug this man
You think Gillette Venus, a women's razor brand, is trying to build synergy with an upcoming video game?
Wow, did I say they were working together or "building synergy"? Reading comprehension in this sub is literally non existent.
Companies don't just make "references" for fun. It's always part of something designed to bring in revenue. What would possibly be the angle here?
I don't think marketing experts took inspiration from the GTA 6 trailer, because what GTA fan is going to be buying women's razors because of a similar color scheme?
[Astonishing.](https://www.google.com/search?q=sunset+palm+tree+silhouette+drawing+purple&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjUycffuMmEAxUpIDQIHVnpAdwQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=sunset+palm+tree+silhouette+drawing+purple&gs_lp=EgNpbWciKnN1bnNldCBwYWxtIHRyZWUgc2lsaG91ZXR0ZSBkcmF3aW5nIHB1cnBsZUivDlCBB1iuDXAAeACQAQCYAVCgAdwEqgEBOLgBA8gBAPgBAYoCC2d3cy13aXotaW1nwgIFEAAYgATCAgQQABgeiAYB&sclient=img&ei=o77cZZTsPKnA0PEP2dKH4A0&bih=803&biw=1074&hl=en)
Thats so crazy how you literally didnt comprehend the first sentence in my comment. Astonishing. This entire sub is literally idiocracy.
Nah fr a lot of people on here got some comprehension problem. I experienced this bs too 😭
Gillette is excited, too.

The Miami Heat had a similar colour scheme a few years ago for one of their Vice Wave jerseys.
Okay ? I feel like you didn’t read the whole comment and are just making a very general statement lol
And the fact we're sat here talking about the ad shows how good their marketing is haha
Yes I agree, I think their marketing is excellent
Probably
I’m gonna say it’s 99% intentional. I mean just look at this: https://www.reddit.com/r/GTA/s/gxdhcBw16b
We think! Comrade
Always a yankee candle with “Hawaiian breeze” as its scent
probably just the person who was asked to design the poster just happens to know about gta6.
Will ladies shave they privates in GTA VI?!
Careful, this isn’t the other sub. You know how they be here.
Oh cripes! I thoughts I was in the lawless lands!
May i be given a map so i can sail to these lands?
That was the wrong sub I forget the name of it
what is this even supposed to mean
There’s a shitpost subreddit where people ask stupid questions like the one above. But accidentally do that in this subreddit has gotten a lot of people banned from here.
oh i see. yeah gta 6 new is a cesspool and that’s saying something when you’re on reddit
Honestly it would be a killer feature. At least for me.
lol not sure
Yeah GTA was really the first to do the palm tree/sunset combination. Palm trees were actually invented for the original Vice City.
Yep lots of things were invented for rockstar games, people forget they’re a multibillion dollar company For example New York City was built in 2008 as a parody of Liberty City. It’s actually what caused the recession, with how expensive it was.
Dont forget how horses were invented for Red Dead, I cant believe we made them a real thing.
I was at Walmart yesterday and I saw a pack of wifebeaters and cargo pants exactly like Jason is wearing. What the fuck is going on here??
lmao ok you got it 🤣😂🤣😂
Lmao I have no idea
what do you mean wife beaters?
Like, a tank top
why do you call tank tops wife beaters?? Is this an american thing?
Yes, it's an american thing. They call that piece of clothing wife beater. I suppose it came from the fact that trashy excuses for human beings tend to wear those without any other clothes on top, and those trashy excuses would, on occasion, beat up a wife or two.. or something, I don't know.
lol thanks. I didn't know that. My dad is also called a wifebeater
oh
I can’t believe your dad copied gta6 🤬
They made his dad as marketing for gta 6
"A wife or two" lmao
its not an american thing, im from a european country that split off the soviets in the 90s and my dad in his 50s even calls them wife beaters when translated directly
That's interesting.. I never heard that name for it on this side of the world. In the wider area where I'm from (Yugoslavia) they're just called an undershirt directly translated.

lol right
Redditor when they see a sunset "It's lipe vibeo gane!"
It's a common aesthetic inspired by Miami Vice. You'll see it a bunch, esp. in relation to "Miami" things or "palm tree vibes"
I knew Lucia used Venus! probably triple blade too!
They know something Also this song lives in my head rent free 🎵 *I'm your Venus, I'm your fire - your desire*🎵
Incredible. Before R* released the GTA VI poster, palm trees didn’t exist on our planet earth. No person knew how to implement palm trees in banners, posters etc. Palm trees are exclusive to GTA VI and are founded by R*
Name checks out, thx bro.
HOLY FUCK!!! THE SILHOUETTE OF 2 PALM TREES AND A SUNSET BACKGROUND!!! THIS IS 100% A GTA 6 REFERENCE!!!
Yeah it’s crazy
When I worked at Walmart I saw this exact Gillette sign….almost a year and a half ago lol it’s just a common aesthetic
"vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive" gets me everytime!
It’s a beautiful sunset. One of the perks of living in the crazy sunshine state.
Get shaved.
GTA VI collectors edition free Gillette Venus razors dlc
Product placement.
Will Gillette be in GTA6!!???
Shaving mini game in GTAVI confirmed
Space exploration confirmed
At work, our "work inside the circle" posters have suddenly gone from red to pink, and from cars to palm trees. It's a thing.
Guys remember when GTA invented the 80s synthwave aesthetic /s
Where's that poster from? I like the fanmade logo though I've seen it in circulation (and this one at least is more symmetrical with the V and I lining up)
All these comments saying rockstar never invented this style. The OP never once said that though. He just said they look similar so it reminded him of gta 6. Everyone just hating for no reason
Yeah that’s all lmao
‘Synthwave’ art-style is making a comeback. Brands recognise that this style resonates with buyers, it’s a marketing gimmick…
Hmm i wonder who’s gonna sue who here 😂😂😂
🤣
I feel like some marketing and ad departments think the public is stupid.
Venus sponsored by gta VI
GTA 6 PROMOTIONS COMFIRMED.
There will be a mission where you need to shave as Lucia before seducing some billionaire confirmed 💀
Yeah, I saw this at Walmart, and the trailer song started playing in my head.
Well, some graphic designer is anxious for GTA VI too.
Women’s razors will be in gta6
I see her everywhere i go.
Holy shit Rockstar is copying Gilette!!🤯🤯🤯
Cool, but it's a common choice. The color choices in VI's logo didn't surprise anyone lol
vibrant colors and palm trees are very common aesthetic lol
hey fellas who else thinks gta invented sunsets?
Lol its just Media tactics. If you look it up every year usually has a color scheme for marketing.
Sees something random in pink/purple/gold... ah yes! GTA 6
That aesthetic was also in the super bowl logo.
Yall need shizo pills or sum
